Hi,
I removed the front derailleur to give a good clean before addjusting to new chainring size. Noticed that there is no support plate on the seat tube for the FD support bolt to rest on. The bolt was probably not even adjust to rest on the frame as it is still sitting flush with the derailleur (see pictures) and no markings on the frame paint at all.
Is this normal?
