Broken bike! Cycle touring Ireland 🇮🇪

Hey guys, welcome to day 19 of my cycle tour here in Ireland. It rained all night and it even rained in the morning, but a mom invited me into her trailer this morning for tea and toast before I started my day, which was so lovely. It was a bad start on the bike today because the screw on my bike that holds the back rack and the fender and the rolloff all together, the head of the screw snapped off and the rest of the screw was stuck in my bike. So, I couldn’t replace it or get the rest of the screw out. And there was no bike shop. I had to ride another 17 km. So, I duct taped it together and zip tied it as best I could. I had a quick breakfast. And then, yeah, I cycled 17 km to the next town. And turns out the bike shop was closed for the next 4 days. So, I stopped by a car garage and the guys helped me out and we got everything fixed up, which was awesome. Once the bike was working, I cycled over to a ferry and crossed the water into a new county and I’m now in Claire. The wind was crazy over here, but I kept on cycling until I reached my campsite for the night. This campsite was super nice and I had a nice kitchen for cooking and I got to hang out with some cats and dogs while here. I made I made some hot chocolate and had dinner.
