    i remember being in the gym with him when Mike actually rejected 30 million on deadline January it was the last day of the market and he was going nuts andy was going I mean 30 million for Andy Carol that time it was big money and he was losing his and I remember him um going out to gym fuming and I think Mike Gashley had um had a call that they opted to 35 million and the helicopter of Mike Gashley was ready to bring him to to Liverpool so he managed another 5 mil literally in two hours it was mental mental yeah it was scary do you remember that was the same wasn’t it the same day that they signed Suarez 22 mil something like that did they sell Torres and then got Andy and sold them to Chelsea and bought them with the money about 7 mil extra for them pair oh it’s good isn’t it well done i like Andy Carol he was a nightmare to play against honestly and he’s enjoying these in Bordeaux isn’t he having a little He looks like he’s living his best life right now and I’m really happy for him i follow him on Insta and I see he looks like he’s having a really happy for

      Carroll was a funny player. Because some things he did he was seriously average at but he was one of those with a few attributes/ skills that were possibly the best you've ever seen at it.
      Possibly the most unstoppable running on to a hung up cross for a header as I've EVER seen. Absolute sledgehammer of a left foot (and decent right at finishing)… He had much higher potential than he reached in honesty but with his attitude/ lifestyle he was never going to reach it.

      I fucking knew it!! I spent years arguing with other NUFC fans who said he was forced out and didn’t want to go! I knew I was right, it was all greed on his part! Given the Number 9 shirt at his “beloved” club and forced his way out for a paycheck!!

      I don’t know if it’s true but the story at that time was that Liverpool basically wanted 15 million on top of whatever the player they got to replace Torres cost, so they agreed 45 with Chelsea and then when Newcastle said no to 30 they went back to Chelsea and said up it to 50 😂

      I doubt Andy was “fuming” that Newcastle had rejected the £30million as he never wanted to leave Newcastle in the first place. He said that he was forced out and he had to hand in a transfer request to force the deal through (voiding a payout from being sold) Carroll never wanted to leave the Toon

      One good game doesn't make a player. But, Andy Carroll had a fantastic game against us a few weeks before all this. I was pleased when we got him. I was also super delighted when we bought Darwin Nunez. You can't win them all!

      Andy Carroll would've been a generational striker had he played in the 80's or 90's. Ridiculous physicality and a hammer of a left foot. So dominant in the air. Still remember that game where he bagged a brace against City. Oh, what could've been 💔
