A spur-of the- moment decision at around 5:30 this morning. Let’s get out on the bike proved to be a good idea. [Music] Always [Music] nice to see the wildlife early in the morning. Best time to see them. [Music] Heading out through Whip St. Lawrence and uh over to the uh motorway before I head off to Cleveland on the NC33 National Cycle Way. Okay. [Music] Just cycled around the lanes around Brick St. Lawrence. Now come out up out to the motorway bridge M5. Not too busy. Not too busy this morning. 6:35, but it’s just uh just a short ride around the lanes. Really, it’s meant to be really hot today, but those uh those clouds look a bit discerning, don’t they? Onwards and upwards. [Music] Here’s [Music] the Cleveland along the old uh don’t know if it was the old railway, but it’s a purpose-built cycle path. a fan walkway. Now [Music] it’s number 33 on the National Cycle Network. It’s a lovely morning. It’s pretty cool. And there’s a lot of low cloud, but I’m sure this will burn off later on. So, the best time to be out for sure. [Music] Just come through here and I spotted the swans. Beautiful wildlife. And this is the river estury. [Music] on gravel now, but still a very good path. The only route to get to Cleaved on the bike previously was on the main A- roads. Very dangerous. [Music] Peerto-peer west interdon. Quiet, safe. These old black and white photos would have been taken well over a 100 years ago. They show the railway that was here previously in the early part of the 1900s. still remember the steam trains of the late 50s and early 60s before beaching made his sweeping cuts and closed all the branch lines virtually throughout the country. [Music] [Music] So, there you can see it. Pad locked. Can’t get in. Uh, I’m not going to go by the road. Um, so I’m going to head back for breakfast. [Music] [Music] bit disappointing. Anyway, not to worry. Uh let’s wait for this uh track to open. Morning. Closed. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] This is a pathway for both cyclists and walkers. And it’s great to see these benches placed along the way. [Music] [Music] I’m going to head back for breakfast.
