It was so hard. I don’t want to see you in the front. Totally different to compare what I did before. So, this when I was little, I was following to the France. It was a a dream for me to be to be part of of this race to win it. It’s like yeah another step. The queen of France wins the tour to France Fal Mavic Swift. Sensational [Music] [Music] with a view. I thought for everyone [Music] a realistic goal for this tour to France fam is actually to aim for the highest possible and that being said realistic will be podium. Uh but then everything has to has to fall in place. [Music] Um when will the two fronts be a success for the team and for you personally? What is a success? You never know what happens as I said before. Um but uh with yeah with the team we want to do well. We want to see uh what Pauline can do. Next to that we’re going to see if there is a stages with the which brings opportunities for the stage win. I really like uh this part of the season when you you build up and you go in altitude for so long and you are not ready you are not racing but you are training super hard and to be ready for the second half of the season. So yeah, I feel recovered and I could um I could rest and you know build up again. So [Music] yeah, now I’m happy also to race and to yeah to see how I can um I can be mercy. [Music] The main goals we have, we will aim for stage wins with Mariana uh mainly the opening weekend and the second goal is to get the best result on the GC with Pal. I just wanted to speak in front of you just because I’ve been a bit quiet these last days. Not because I I don’t like to be here or because I’m I’m not feeling good. because I’m super focused. [Music] [Applause] Yeah, I’ve been training so hard for this uh for this race that it’s it’s really important for me and I just wanted to say thank you for already the last days and today we start um whatever the result you have to give uh we have to give our best and be proud after that after the race. I think everyone has a key role in the team and um yeah we just don’t give up we go until the end and if it’s crashes if it’s we are not feeling good and yeah doesn’t matter today it’s full gas it will be a fast and hard race so we have to to keep this in mind and to be ready for that we are one group we are unit and we have to stay like this for 9 days whatever happen so now I don’t speak for 10 You should be just who you are. It’s good. However you If you want to be quiet, it’s good. If you want to be loud, it’s good. [Applause] So the team boys uh yeah be ready for a fight. Be ready for the start. The race fast running out of road. Visa Lisa bike. We’re jostling for position. All preparing to launch. Pulling from Brao is driving away. 500 m to go for the French woman. She turns the corner. They’re hunting her down. She’s almost there. Kim Laort is coming back at her very very quick turns around. Mariana Voss is on her wheel. Mariana Voss takes the first place. Floss takes yellow. It’s so bad right now. Thank you. Up front before this day, I I wasn’t thinking about yellow. I wanted to be just in the in the best possible shape and uh to arrive here with the team and uh yeah with the of course with with big ambitions and uh yeah I wanted to do my best and be as as good as I could and uh yeah I’m very happy we could start off like this but it’s amazing and I could not imagine this. [Applause] special. [Applause] Good job. [Music] Yeah. Morning. Morning. I was really impressed by the whole team. So, everyone did their job to the max and even more. So, everyone, no exceptions, did a did a great job and you Yeah, I’ve got to say it. I’m proud. Proud. Yesterday, I was really proud and I still am. But the compliments for that really really good job. Yeah. One more time. Thank you. It has been incredible. I mean, having this kind of work and dedication is the right word, I think. Then being there with Pauline in the wheels having to do not much until the final climb and then finishing one entry. It’s uh has been fantastic. So let’s keep this flow into the these stages. It’s good to see such a team. It’s it’s it’s really impressive. And then you see this at at the finish. Uh yeah, a big hug. No, that’s that’s also good to see that it’s not that not Yeah, you were a team there, you know. you you’ve done the done the work and then gathered together in in waiting for the result and riding up. Uh yeah, that was uh good to see. So it’s a team effort. Again, we want to go for stage win Mariano or Pauline and uh and Pauline that she doesn’t lose time. [Music] be a tough day, but it’s great to start in the We want to see how far we can bring Pauline and help Pauline into a good general classification. If you are the first one hitting the climb, then you can accelerate. If we as a team do what we did yesterday, it will be even more lined up and You hit it. You hit the the steep ramp. Opponents of you will be hurt. [Music] Thanks. Yeah, you’re not joking. No, no joke. Now, right now, is it being proud of wearing yellow all day? Is it disappointment of losing the yellow jersey? No, mostly being proud. Uh we knew with such a of course after after one day everything is still tight and uh of course it’s still still a long week. So as we as we knew uh we uh we have the the same ambitions with the team uh and uh tomorrow uh we’re going to see what the what we can do again. [Music] Uh the ride on Saturday was quite impressive. He’s doing it how about their level, about her appearance. Uh looking promising so far [Music] wearing a jersey in the in the tour is special. Yes, it’s a change of color, but it’s still nice to be in in the leaders. Yeah, going in the final sprint, you know, always know everything can happen and positioning is going to be uh yeah, very very important. So, uh yeah, we’ll try our best again [Music] and it won’t slow down anymore, girls. So, we’ll be racing out to the final We have yellow again. Yeah. Well done. My man Awesome. Yeah. This way you have fresh kit every day. Yeah. Well, yeah. Well, it’s actually uh Yeah, of course it was great to to start off with the win in in yellow today. I was pretty proud to wear uh wear green, but of course it’s fantastic to uh yeah to have another day in yellow. big. Um, [Laughter] and [Music] what do we expect? Uh we’re getting close to the mountains, so we expect GC riders to be there. On the final climb, there’s a there is a motor sprint, so they’re going to test each other. Yeah. From there on, the smaller group will go to the finish. And I’m sure that we’re in there. So then from there on, we’re going to fight for the victory. So the the hardest after 100K, we start the more hardest part, then they come back more or less a bit automatically. But yeah, when it’s a strong group like yesterday, they were pretty okay riders and then it will be a challenge and we are needs to have a bit luck that the other team will start pulling. The goal here is to uh to have Paulen in the same time as the winner and start the final descent in first and second position. That’s the goal. You’re just untouchable. How does it feel? Yeah, at the moment I was quite lucky, but uh yeah, also the team around me did really well with protecting me. So yeah, yesterday we knew that we had to be at the front, but not also too much boxing. Otherwise, if it’s a crash, you can’t avoid it. So there’s a lot to lose if you crash in the downhill and I think the last three day will be hard enough to make the difference. So yeah, we have to find the balance. I’m just uh just happy to be here. Happy to be in yellow and happy to be surrounded by a very good team. The longest stage of this year’s race at 165.8 kilometers. A hilly day for the riders ahead. [Music] Hey friends, hold it. Yan is coming to you. Okay. Hey. Hey. Are you okay? Yeah. Also the chest. Your breed. Okay. The pressure really on in the Pelaton at the summit though. Kim Lort took the bonus seconds ahead of Pauline Feron Provo. How did you feel about it? Yeah, of course. It was just all out on the climb. I just couldn’t follow and then found myself in the second group which was okay but yeah of course I tried but yeah the best were were out there okay good work today was such a hard day but you did [Music] the crash. I feel pain pain here and in my back when I just breathing and I cannot breathe for a big moment. Mhm. You can’t like really deeply inhale and exhale. When I breathe, I feel uh ar pain. Mhm. So when you were going uphill, you had trouble breathing. Yeah. Because of the pain in your chest. When I breathe, I have pain. Yeah. My uh Yeah. My crash yesterday, unfortunately. Uh it seems quite quite heavy what she had. So, it took a while before we had her back on the bike and she had some problem with the sternum and some problem with her ribs. Uh, but after being brought to the hospital, we did some x-rays and everything seems fine. You smile again? Yes. Feel okay? Yeah. Yeah, I feel okay. Okay. Enough to Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. How is this? Uh, it’s stiff. It’s stiff. Okay. And back again. Last time. Yeah. To give you a bit of support. Yeah, that’s perfect. And push it out. Yeah. Is going to start today, that’s for sure. Hopefully, she can make it to the finish today, then tomorrow again, and then yeah, she can do some work for the team again. [Applause] [Music] [Music] only one minute mark left from my side. If you do the sprint, don’t go too early. Yeah. It’s most important is you have the same time as the winner. It’s a hard finish. Yeah. 500 m up is hard. [Music] Yeah. Good day. Okay. I felt very like in control. [Music] I don’t know. But when I saw him dropping, I say, “Yeah, maybe it’s can happen.” And when I saw her coming back, I said, “No, this will not happen.” These two days were pretty tough as well. Do you feel very confident going into the Milano tomorrow? Uh very confident. Yeah, you can’t be confident like I don’t know how other also are now. So yeah, I think I’m still fresh for tomorrow. So let’s see. It didn’t look like you were suffering as well. You look your mouth was closed all the time on the mountain. Face. What do you know about the Mlet? [Music] [Applause] [Music] So yeah, Pauline, maybe it’s good to to share your thoughts about the Madan or the whole day, how you want to approach the day. We just keep calm also. Even if they attack in the top of Mland, we we don’t go. We just stay one speed. I will I will guide you and and we will come back. So, it’s a big day today waiting for the super. Come on there, girls. You’re doing so good. Awesome. Awesome. Come on. And come on. Come on. Everyone behind you is is on their own now. They’re on their own. You’re with two. Very good. Come on. Continue as long as possible. You’re awesome. Good job. Very good job. May. Yes. She’s going. She’s going. Come on. Come on. Come on. Palen is dropping. Is dropping. Come on. You know what to do. You know what to do. It’s still 8 and 12 km to the top. You dropped Fisher Black on the arrow part. Very good job. It’s so impressive, buddy. It’s so impressive. [Music] So impressive. So impressive. Latest was 1 minute 32 k and 3 minutes to be honest. You nailed it. It was so painful the last kilometer also because yeah I wanted to to have yeah a gap as big as possible for for tomorrow and yeah I also try to enjoy but you know until the finish line is not close that uh yeah it’s not over yet. So I just wanted to do as fast as possible to the finish line. Yeah, I’m so happy we made it as a team and uh yeah, I want to thank my team because they have been amazing all the time and I really hope we can finish off the work. [Music] [Music] and talk. Yeah. character. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh. Oh, thank you. really good. Love once you said as a little girl, maybe I should have been born a boy to fulfill my dream. Now you’re about to fill your dream as a girl. Yeah. No, it’s crazy. It’s crazy. It’s true. When I was little, I was following to the France and Yeah, I love it. It was a a dream for me to be to be part of of this race to win it. It’s like yeah another step. So I didn’t win the fun yet because it’s still one stage to go. But uh yeah already today was uh I make my dream come true. So yeah I’m I’m so happy. A. Oh, you legend. Absolute hero. Oh my god. So strong. You I look so good on you. Yeah, it was good also. Mariana, you wear it better. Was a very good day. Thank you so much for pulling after this don. No, no, no. We excited so much. So impressive to see this on first row. He loved the fact that he was on the first row. Oh, I I’m never on first row in the mountain stage. It’s my first time, you know. Impressive. Tomorrow we have to be sha. Yes. Yes. 100%. Another day. I saw a team yesterday. Um, a really good captain, fighting spirit and and looking at your faces. uh looking forward to today. I think we we did the perfect race. Everyone welcome it for uh for their role and for one goal. So yeah, just uh thank you for for everything already. I think we have to stay focused for today and um yeah, just uh yeah, put the final touch. But um yeah, I have really a lot of trust on on you. So I’m I’m quite confident on it. All these people here came to see Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] It’s so impressive, buddy. It’s so impressive. [Applause] Pauling from Bravo wins the tournament. I make my dream come true. It was so hard. Thank you so much. Babychech. Yesterday was amazing, but you know, you you are happy, but you also are a bit uh you you have to stay focused, you know, for the day after. And today was a crazy day. It start full gas down here. [Music] It’s also a good way to finish this tour of France, you know, with a with a victory with a yellow jelly. So, at the end, it was such a good day. Thank you. You’re crazy. Wow. What a hero. [Applause] [Music] Yeah, it was an amazing week really with a team and I think the best memories of my life all together and yeah, just crazy. And um I really really really love it and yeah like I say I think it’s memories for life but um yeah also because I think we really fit together and we fight for the same goal and uh yeah we learn also together because I also had to learn and no thank you so much. It was I think the best week of my life really without and now I will never forget and I hope one day I can do the same what you did for me. We will also never forget. Awesome documentary !!!!
Totally insane. Even the team couldn't believe it at first. So impressive.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is the greatest cyclist of all time and by far the most versatile. She boasts 12 UCI Elite World Championship titles (15 including team events). She's the reigning Olympic cross-country mountain bike champion. She's been world champion in every single major discipline there is. PFP is the only cyclist, male or female, to have simultaneously held world titles in road, cyclocross, and mountain biking. Ferrand-Prévot is also the first woman to win both Paris-Roubaix and the Tour de France in the same year, a feat not accomplished by any cyclist, regardless of gender, since Bernard Hinault in 1981. PFP did something that hadn't been done in 44 years one year after winning Olympic gold on a mountain bike and only 6 months after returning to road cycling.
Most of Marianne Vos' world titles are in CX, which is by far the least relevant of the three major disciplines and the only one not part of the Olympic Games. It's a discipline popular only in a handful of European countries and doesn't have nearly the global reach of road cycling and MTB. As for Vos' road world titles, they were won as part of the very strong Dutch national team, always a favorite, with or without her. How many of those titles would she have won on a weaker team? In contrast, the vast majority of Pauline's world titles were in individual disciplines, where riders win or lose solely on their own merits.
Ferrand-Prévot's career is simply unparalleled for the significance of her titles in global disciplines, her versatility in winning across all disciplines, and the decisiveness of individual performance in her achievements. What Pauline has done in this sport shouldn't be possible.
Merci Pauline et bravo à la Visma d avoir cru en elle!
Vos is such an astonishing athlete. Seems like the kinda person who makes every situation better through both mental and physical efforts.
Magnifique vidéo. Merci pour les émotions ❤
Also I watched the visma ad at the end
c'est fort de se préparer pour un objectif et l'atteindre à la perfection…
par contre, pas apprécié les commentaires de Demi Vollering, maillot jaune de la mauvaise perdante
Wow, what a great video. Impressive win!
Bravo ! Belle équipe et bel état d'esprit. Et que dire de Pauline… Quelle carrière, quelle année 24-25 incroyable. Championne des Championnes !
