Hello everyone and welcome to the Treasure Fishers channel for a new magnetic adventure in Bayonne, in the heart of the Basque Country. Today, we explore the Nive, this mythical river that winds through the city before flowing into the Adour and then into the Atlantic. For centuries, the Nive has been a witness to Basque history, from medieval merchants to the fishermen of yesteryear. Every summer, the Bayonne Festival sets the city alight with its legendary feria, sometimes leaving surprises at the bottom of the water. Bayonne city center If we don’t find anything, I don’t understand anything anymore! Everyone who participated in the feria must recognize it . But precisely, during the feria, we say to ourselves that it must be swinging signs, bicycles… It’s not good. Normally, we fish for a lock a day at the moment. We’ll have a look to see if there are any lovers. Come see Helena We’ll see if there are any names. LP Dedication to you Love Love Security 40 mm Nice name. Dedication to security Yes dedication to security. But look how pretty it is We have a great sun too And here there is the circus “Circulez” Which also means circulate Already we are trying to teach French to Héléna, If in addition now there is Basque. Yeah You are ready? Come on my first throw! So already with the current, do you still feel that it touches the bottom? Yes, I think, Because it happened to us to be silly during this road trip where there was so much current that the magnet did not touch the ground. Anyway we have to raise the magnet. You have something Shall I release a little? Well no, go on raise it Come on Have you lost it? No, no, Bring it up it swings. It’s because of the current. Damn I’m going to get stuck under the bridge there Why is it swinging like that? Because of the current As soon as I get out of the water, Do you want me to go see if the underside of the bridge is made of iron or not? Wait, I’ll see, you can go there without risk First discovery, It’s very rusty, OK, We’ll give you the bucket There’s the police, ah no, it’s the fire department Second cast. Actually, it’s small rocks. I don’t think you’re going to get your magnet stuck What are you fishing for? Metal? Is that it? Yes, they’re magnets That’s why I see Magnetar written on the back. Yes, that’s it Well, good fishing then! Thanks! Well, it’s true that when you’re at the top of a bridge, it’s a little more complicated to get objects for us. But you get stuck less often. Oh yes, there’s color. Yes, a wheel it looks like! Or a bicycle bell maybe. That’s a magnetic rock Yes , it looks like it. And that… It’s a screw stuck in something. Yeah, I expected better. Come on, I’m Quentin Holding his carabiner because at the top of the bridges it’s recommended not to attach yourself to yourself, in case there’s a boat passing. If there’s a problem Well, you have to be sure not to get stuck or carried away by an object with the rope Not a huge tree trunk for example It’s true, if there’s a tree trunk that comes all the way up and pulls your rope. In the Darwin Awards, we’ve seen worse… Yes, it’s true, you never know And what’s more, it’s not very deep. And you can even hurt yourself if you fall And if you’re in the Basque Country, in Bayonne and you’re wondering why we didn’t warn you. Sorry, a big sorry, but we never plan where we stop, we do it where we can and when we can And it’s true that we try to do it quickly because sometimes, there’s a spot we want to try. But when it doesn’t necessarily have things, So it’s really complicated to warn in advance. I’m going to put it back together. Come on, let’s go again. I think I have something. Well yes, first of all, it’s surprising that we didn’t find a bicycle. I thought that during the ferias they threw away loads of them. There’s an old bottle there , yes, old, I don’t know. It looks like the Saint Raphael Quinquina bottle . It’s hard to say. Yes, yes, it’s true. Are we going to look for it after? Boo… So? Ah Oh!!! It’s not a stone, but a Mauser bullet from the Second World War. It’s cool, too, for salt water, it’s well preserved anyway. I think there’s brass around it. A 0.05 euro coin Which is well preserved too! The water shouldn’t be too salty, you have to taste it to know, you have to lick it. Baaaa you ate mud at the same time Ahaha he took the mud Yes, it just tastes like mud, it is mud. The spectators are going to tell me again not to taste anything. And they’re right. Should I try again? So yes. Great find. It’s classic . It’s classic, but I wouldn’t have thought of it as a discovery. Especially putting together such small objects when it’s hard to find big ones. But hey, okay, why not. It’s possible that there are more things on the side. I’m repeating what you said next to the microphone because it’s true that with the noise of the cars it’s not easy. You have to get down to business a bit, find us at least a padlock! We’re still here, still waiting for Quentin to bring back the treasure. I have to say that today we’re not working much with Helena. Oh, a ring, I have an earring. Oh yes, that was something, you see the shape. A key maybe. Isn’t that a key? We’re going to type it. Yes, hop, there. Yeah, I think it could be a key or a bottle opener (can opener) Possible too. It’ll break. That way She’s dead. Sorry Quentin I don’t even know what it was A second one. OK, they lost their brass a little, but it’s true that it’s pretty like that The copper is still good, but they came out of their brass cases They lost the cartridge. Okay, I’ll do another shot Yeah, to keep Come on, one more shot Did you find the ammo nest, is it that way? There’s a magnetic thing there We’ll see A lot of effort for not much as a result I’ll pass it on. Come on, I’ll try a little. I’m fed up with this spot Come on, let’s stop the bridge for a bit, we’re going to go see what’s down there along the banks. It’s going to pay off to mudlark here. Even if the surface area that’s uncovered by the tide isn’t huge, with the current, it can carry a lot of stuff, Even objects that have been thrown in the middle, I think. Bless you, Quentin. Look at that, it’s a single-wheel bike. They’re very common in cities and there, it’s a water bike, I’m sure it still works. Maybe. We have to go save it. We’re going to get it. Save Willy! Luckily, we can go that way. And there’s an umbrella too. If you want, there, it’s muddy. Come on, we’ll try not to sink in too much, it’s very slippery . Yeah, I confirm. And you see, you have some old pots there. That’s a lock, you have lots of old pottery . It’s broken unfortunately. Okay, so what does the bike say? Is it in good condition? Yeah, it’s average, it’s been there for a while, it’s inflated. It’ll work. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, perfect, it’ll work. Should I go over there and see what we spotted or not? Yeah, I should have kept my gloves on. I’ll let you go see over there, I’m going to put the bike back together, that’s not bad I found a pretty good jar there Oh Gien France it’s slipping. But when I tell you it’s slipping, it’s slipping for real! There’s no small slip it’s slipping a lot Unfortunately, it’s broken. Look the brakes are out of order and it brakes by itself. After, we have a key like that, maybe we can remove the brake We have one in the car, so I think we can. We can just remove the brake. Well, we’ll have a bike without brakes. It doesn’t brake from the front either. Come on, while Quentin continues his Mudlarking I’m going to throw the magnet a little here We’ll see what happens. Hop hop, always attach the rope to a fixed point Magnet thrown I hope it will bring us back some beautiful treasures What’s that? A flask? Cool, a flask It doesn’t have the cap, too bad it must be stainless steel. Oh, there’s the Stainless steel Coyot brand It might come from the feria! OK, I’ll keep it And I think I have something. OK, it lifts up. Look. Yeah, it almost came I still have objects coming. So what do we have? Oh, it’s a screwdriver! It’s not easy. Wow wow Ah, it must have been nice, but it’s broken. Unfortunately Hello Hello! There’s a lot of crap Yes What’s a net? OK. So the bottle, it was there. Hop Old Rick And there. Lipstick. But it’s dead. And there it looks like there’s an oil lamp. It’s coppery I’m coming, I’m coming. Another glass. Oh! I really like this one I hadn’t seen it from above Wow! Magnificent. Is it signed? No, it doesn’t look like it. And we have something. Phew! We have loads of things, even we’re going to see what it is Oh man What’s crazy is that we’re not even going to see what it is in fact There are so many layers of scrap metal And concretions on top of each other. That’s just an iron bar I think But look. To give you an idea, In fact, it’s just rust, so it’s become pebbles. And the real bar, it’s super thin That’s what happens in sea water, in general, it’s the same. Look, it looks like a coin or a can. Oh no, it’s all soft That’s an iron, right? Here there are loads of objects We can see more things because there’s loads of pottery too Look. Yes, it’s definitely an iron. Look at my oil lamp Check if it’s magnetic. But I don’t think so. No, it’s copper And we have a coin too Oh, look, 5 centimes. The coin is nickel, so it’s very well preserved And you want to see my third find? Aha A flask Coyote brand Ah, that’s cool, It’s not magnetic either. 1962 not bad. So there, frankly, I found a much cooler spot. There are lots of things, there is no current. It’s better. On the other hand, the objects have a huge layer of rust They can have 3 centimeters of thickness in addition to rust on each side I try to fish cleanly I tap them a little to make the rust and rocks fall off It’s mainly iron ore, it’s not polluting Ah yes it’s full To identify the objects frankly it’s difficult And so we can have things that are not magnetic. Yes because suddenly it makes big piles like that If it turns out that it was just a wire and that’s not even iron That’s aluminum. Yes and there look it’s the same. There’s pottery. Oh, look what it was that’s what was magnetic Wow! Nice, that’s for the polluting umbrella . Come on, new ascent Oh look Helena it shines it’s the color of gold. I hope it’s not just a capsule. Well yes, but still, we still have quite a few objects. That was a spoon or fork handle, That’s a cutlery precisely, it’s a fork. And otherwise, it’s just pebbles on it hop there it was indeed the golden object… Grimbergen unfortunately. And pebbles small magnetic pebbles we can put them back. Careful, Magnet thrown. So it’s fishing hard? But yes When you fish out a fork, measure 4 times its volume Yeah. Oh. Speaking of forks, I think I broke the record for the largest spoon Baptiste It’s a little damaged. Too bad. Go get it back, There’s a white thing there. Yes. I don’t know what it is It’s not bad, they’re old objects I don’t really know, but it’s old. This is 19th, It’s Bakelite I don’t know what it could be kind of plastic and this is a roll, A giant toilet paper roll maybe I don’t know why it’s magnetic. Oh, there’s a plate there, in the water. Come on, be old please Oh no it’s modern Too bad. Bad luck, someone who played frisbee. I got some stuff on the head, but it’s okay. We have a nice collection already, it’s starting well. So, I really have things with every cast. Besides, you’re right, they really are old objects . They are very old objects. So, well, after… They are difficult to identify for the most part, this one is very strange. It has no rust but it certainly fell off when you raised the magnet. Was there a bowl too? Yes, it’s pretty . It’s full of old pottery. This hand fishing in Bayonne is looking very good. Here, we are really, I think, at the perfect spot. We found it. Yes, it’s better than the bridge with all the current. To evacuate the waste, it will be a little longer. But still, the road is not very far . Yes, there is some good weight. An old bike? No, no, I lost a piece. It’s a plate, right? Yes, again. It just looks like a plate. Yeah, okay. So it’s hard to say, a plate of what? Another coin. It’s euros, right? Oh no, no, no, again Is it Lipa? There’s something stuck on top Argentina. Look at Argentina. 1955 a wish surely Do you think there was already the Bayonne feria at that time? I think so (the Bayonne feria has existed since 1932) You know what that reminds me of? The press objects that were in Sheffield? Yeah, that’s right, press circles. With numbers? Yes I don’t know if there are numbers. Oh yes, there was a brand that was noted. Indeed, it’s a tool Maybe we can still read. “OR” FORD, I think. I think it was an automobile spanner yes Yeah, it’s not sure, but it looks like it. But he’s dead. On the other hand , it’s gone. So what do you want to find Helena? Ah, I don’t know for the moment You have no idea? A coin again would be nice, it’s nice when it’s coins that are already 70 years old. Yes, there are objects, it’s heavy this time. There, Helena, she’s not joking. Yeah. So what do we have in there? Just do the scrap metal, you can hit it a little, it’ll all fall off. Then. Same. Same. Same. OK, Whoa There’s a big problem there It’s not taut, we need to grease the chain But even why is it stretched like that? It’s dead It’s still more or less repairable Do you ask again? That’s a brick I think A steel one? No There was just a little scrap metal on it They’re very old bricks too It’s small, right? No, but above all, it’s not a standard brick It’s for low walls, I think. But even standard bricks are bigger than that. It’s not even straight. It’s interesting. I think it’s firecrackers, but in the old 60s 70s style, You scared me, is it wrong or what? No, that’s not it I thought it was the strips of firecrackers to put in fake toy guns Is it brass around it? There are scrap metal balls in the middle It’s some kind of bearing. Yeah, maybe some kind of bearing for a toy or something You can try again because this is a small discovery I also want to try here we are really on the spot! I’m very happy to be here Yes, a big shout out to everyone who is in Bayonne again, sorry if we didn’t warn you. So yes, yes, we’ll have to break it, I’ll take care of opening that. Come on master breaker You’re our crusher manager. Oh! Oh yeah! Wow! It had to be broken! A bullet, a Mauser bullet again The same caliber. There must be plenty here, for us to bring up so many Look, it’s in good general condition Bravo Helena! There are new Spanish subscribers watching the channel They are curious and wondering what we are doing here They are all dressed in white So Helena doesn’t want to splash them Hop hop! Is it possible to help Helena? Helena Helena Helena Helena Helena! Oh… No, nothing at all Are you trying Quentin? Come on, it’s Quentin’s turn. Yeah, yeah yeah! Hey hey hey hey hey Oh…. Oh….Pull more to the left, Come on, last one Yeahhhh Come on Quentin, there you have an audience Hey hey hey! He still has a bite. Oh… Another cast for Helena Yes, go to Helena Helena Helena Yeah!!! Will it be like that when we go fishing in Spain? She still has a piece , it’s not crazy OK, goodbye guys OK, it wasn’t enough despite the supporters. I have something Baptiste Yeah, still quite a few things. We’ll have to hit them a bit for the shapes, It’s difficult to identify all these objects, this is a spoon or fork handle and this… Here I have a big object, it’s quite rare here I lost a piece. But what is this? There’s a plate still on top or a brick That’s why it’s heavy it’s reinforced concrete, and tiles. Uh, what is this thing? I thought it was a charger, Shall we check anyway? Check if it’s not a charger there’s copper, it went with the fins. It was a piece of moped or something so I guess OK, we’ll look Copper, there isn’t much of it, but hey… Ah, there’s a find there. Plus, there’s already the straw. How do you pronounce Mitza Mitz? Mitza Mitz, is that Croatian? It’s a Basque beret, Mica means little cat in Croatian . There, now it’s a little cat. In any case, it has a watch . So I hope to find a watch today. Me, you know what I hope to find today? What? Happiness. Oh , there, we’re on the other side of the bridge, this time, we’ll see what we find . A nice throw. It’s not easy with the fence . Yeah, that’s the problem here. But hey, we’ll see. We’re still not far from the center, there should be a lot of things. Although… You never know. Yes. So here we can’t predict because even on the bridge it wasn’t very full, we’ll see. It’s not easy, I’ll try to shoot further, it’s better. Yeah , come on, first real climb here. Yes, With a little find, it looks like Two finds. Meh, it’s a bolt And some scrap metal But that’s an earring Oh yeah, there’s something written. Unfortunately it’s magnetic, it was plated Yeah yeah, definitely. Wait, I’ll give you your keys back too Because it’s still very shiny, brass plated maybe Hop there Almost, it’s coming, it’s bubbling, it’s big And it’s bubbling well Is it a barrier or what? Come on, we’ll see, it might be a barrier… it’s coming OK, it’s coming Let’s continue then Is there cable? A bike maybe. A bike stuck in the mud? It looks like a wheel, it reacts like cable maybe It’s a bike wheel, I’m telling you Yeah yeah, you’re right, it’s just that it was in the mud! It’s crazy, It’s in a bad state You see, there are lots of things hanging on it. It’s not just the bike, It’s a kind of trap. Look to the left. Over there, there’s a net and some fabric in the seaweed That’s what makes it heavy. It’s heavier than the bike, it’s just barely held by the pedal, can you grab the wheel? It’s stuck underneath I take the magnet off, wait, stay like that Damn, it’s not possible Watch out, it’s cutting Oh damn The pedal is still chrome. I love it when it stays in the fence like that, it’s a beauty. Well done. Thanks But then there’s still everything else on the other side, the highlight of the show, it’s there. It’s disgusting. We didn’t get too dirty today. Well there you go, That’s it, one less thing in the water, it goes straight in the trash Come on, kiddo. Not bad, For a beginner Nothing more Do you want to move? And hop, it resonates. And there you go, Last spot of the day in Bayonne, There’s a bit of wind. I’ll try to speak loudly and I have the impression that subscribers have passed by But that their magnet unfortunately, stayed here. So two different traces This magnet stayed there suddenly, they got fed up. They threw everything even the rope Do you think it’s a rope that comes from a Chinese site? You don’t want to go get it? You’re not going to do like with Rasta’s ball and the helmet? But I’ll go down if you want, you’ll spend three days there. Come on, it’s fine. Stop your nonsense. But there’s lots of mud. Baptiste… Crazy kid, he doesn’t want to walk in the mud. I don’t want to walk in the mud It’s dirty. It’s full of scrap metal. They certainly got discouraged quickly They probably didn’t pick it up Then someone threw it back in the water Oh yeah, hey So yes, it’s a Wish magnet then It’s stuck right there not far away anyway Ah that’s good! It must have been children. I don’t know if I still have the magnet Oh yes, it wasn’t long ago. Oh but damn We’ll leave it there Seriously? How generous he is. Oh I raised him well. Yes we’ll leave it there I hope the right people will pick it up They’ll come back maybe. If it’s yours it’s there If it’s yours, it’s there. How I laugh if we lose our magnet too, if we lose the note, do we take that one or not? Not even! We don’t finish the session with that It might be the magnet from Action Oh yes maybe. In any case they left us a spoon, that’s very cool. Watch out, thrown magnet! I’m On Fire now I’m also covered in mud! We’re going to find some crazy things in Bayonne. I’d like to find a bayonet, that would be logical. A bayonet in Bayonne Yeah Are you ready? Watch out for the sheet piles Oh damn Oh yes but there… Shellfish and crustaceans. It’s not very qualitative. What’s down there Come on, let’s throw more down there (sings) I have a big rock. In any case, you’re clean, we can say that. If you have any dry cleaning advice again For Quentin, don’t hesitate, let us know in the comments Marseille soap. Oh damn, it’s going to be difficult There are too many pieces and stones, I have no explanation, I don’t know why there’s all that here even if there’s something good in the water here it’s going to be difficult to catch it We’re going to spend days there. You have to throw a little more until you have an object with an interesting shape, right? Come on, that’s it, we fish with a magnet until we have an object with an interesting shape Are you up for the challenge? Because these are only pebbles We’re a little in the shade, it feels good Yes, with this little wind which isn’t good for the audio in the video but which is good for us Good for our health, it’s true Helena There’s a strap there. Hold it for me Pull up the magnet, I’ll see what it is Oh f***** I was close to falling headfirst into the mud While Quentin is walking around in the mud. I’ve got a big piece. It’s just an iron plate So look Oh damn, it’s impossible how slippery it is. These are old carabiners. The sea water has damaged them And this… Is it for attaching tools when you’re doing work? It’s a guy who was doing suspended work. You think? Yeah, and why did he have that then? Oh no, Quentin! It’s for rowing next to the kayak base. When they train inside, they row with that. That’s the handle and you pull. Yes, maybe, but what’s all that stuff for? Certainly to adjust it, to adjust the force. You move it, it’s almost certain. It comes from a rower, it’s the handle. Shall we keep it? Well, yeah, if you want to train. I want to train. Last year, a little climb here for this spot. It’s the least cool we’ve done today . Ouch, I’m stuck on the sheet pile . Sorry. Watch out, it’s slippery. But no, go down . No, no. If, Ah oh, you can pull it up to the top , it’s fine, we’re really on the worst quality spot of the day. But there you go, in any case, don’t hesitate to come and get your magnet We should make a story or something to tell them it’s there. Yes we can Then otherwise it’s just pebbles, We’ll bring the bag of scrap metal that we filled back to the car And then we’ll see you next week For a new magnet fishing video with the continuation of our road trip. We might be in Spain this time. Who knows? I hope so We’ll see if we can cross the border with Quentin. It’s not certain. And with all our strange finds. He doesn’t have his vaccinations up to date I only have tetanus, that’s very important when you’re magnet fishing, yes.

The brick looked like those of ancient Rome.
A bientôt
Santé bonheur a tous❤
