‘Jens Voigt takes on Lands End to John O’Groats!
Tour de France breakaway legend Jens Voigt was welcomed by over 100 riders and cycling fans as he made his way through the Lake District on Stage 5 of his Lands End to John O’Groats ride. We met Jens at The New Union in Kendal for a pint of ale before riding to Wheelbase Staveley where he took the time to sign some merch and pause for photos. Duffins Coffee and Wilf’s butties and cakes kept everyone fuelled before those brave enough tackled Kirkstone Pass and north to Carlisle for the final stretch ahead of Jens crossing the border into Scotland for Stage 6.
