Bikepacking in Slovenia, riding from Italy to Istanbul loosely following the Trans Dinarica trail

Day 126 of cycling around the world. I’m in Slovenia. Quick stop to the supermarket to pick up some lunch. My first stop is the UNESCO Scooch Chang Caves. Unfortunately, all the tours are booked for today, so I can just view it from above. I’m heading towards Rodic Village. There is a long gravel road there with lots of interesting art based on fairy tales and horror stories in the area. Time for some lunch. The bread that I’m eating is supposed to look like a shepherd’s hat. Uh-oh, a storm is rolling in. I quickly find some shelter. Thank you, Mother Mary. It’s raining cats and dogs, and I’m in my sleeping bag. Time for a nap. The storm has cleared and it’s time to descend. After a long day, I finally reach my destination and set up camp.
