I currently own a 2016 CAAD8 beater bike and found a good deal on a first gen 19-22 Emonda ALR frameset. My understanding is the CAAD8 is the very low end frame and the Emonda ALR is one of the better alloy frames out there and more comparable to the CAAD10/12

My plan would be to move over all of the CAAD components in hopes of improving the ride quality and having a more responsive bike, and also shedding some weight. Am I correct in my comparison of these frames and is this a decent idea for an out of pocket cost of $200?
