Visiting Acadia National Park (from Chicago). The views, hiking, and most importantly, cycling are amazing. These carriage roads are the best. Definitely worth a trip. For those who come out, I recommend a ride before dawn to Cadillac Summit to catch the sunrise and then a sprint back down to the carriage roads for the rest of the day(s).
And props to Bar Harbor Bicycle Shop for the great help and rental for the few days.
