This is my budget 700c shogun metro build.
Changed everything besides the bb seat post and frame/forks.
Found a set of cheap knockoffs of the surly corner bars and have loved them since I first put them on, still yet to wrap them but have the long esi grips and a single Microshift bar end shifter moving the 40$ sunrace rear derailer across a 11-36 sram cassette with a 42t chainring up front, these two will be change for a wider range cassette and a smaller narrow wide chainring.
Rolling on a set of 42mm specialized pathfinder pros, which I did have to squish the rear stays to fit.
Sitting on a WTB Volt and standing in Stamp 1 pedals (mega grippy).
Have been loving the bike from commuting to gravel it’s the ultimate bike for me.
