so I’m in Boston which is why there was not a custom bike build video uh last week and I’m checking out a bike shop here called bikes not bombs in Boston and hopefully they’re open I I probably should have called before Pikes not bombs ring doorbell see if they’re open ring the doorbell okay we’re inside and this is some of the new bikes they’ve got refurbished over here and I’m just curious what a stuff like this has lots of commuting around here and so commuter bikes are good 550 for this Centurion kind of cool Single Seed another 550 specialized p with mountain bike Hearts flat bar kind of a hybrid Street Fighter going I like that 550 Chi kind of cool 400 J citizen 475 Vega it’s like an Alpena 5.3 another cool paint job on that unit Vega 700 for that interesting build mountain bikes YY bikes for around 550 another Century lots of cool lots of cool commuter bikes and the Vintage builds carts got bars chain [Music] Rings got some crank Stu [Music] 30 bcds seat [Music] posts cool vintage see newer posts two little bit got some old shoes if you want shoes pumps [Music] fenders tires P you find anything I’m just looking checking out your bin I’m Sam uh we’re at Bike Stop bombs in uh Jamaica plane Massachusetts and we’re back here in uh our used Parks area uh all around us we have used parts that were uh stripped from bikes that were donated to us uh sorted by volunteers and now they’re for sale cheap in the community so if you have uh bike projects anything you’re uh looking to fix up uh stop by bike on boms what are some of the things you guys do you were mentioning um something coming up uh well so uh every year we uh we ship container loads of uh used bicycles to uh our Global Partners and local volunteers help us do quality control on those bikes first so we make sure that we’re sending good usable bikes um and we do youth programs here as well so we teach mechanics to uh young people in the community and uh also have a venue for them to teach uh community lessons to maybe adult cyclists who don’t know how to fix a flat tire and that kind of thing um and then we also operate a full service bike shop so now doing ebikes too so if you have ebikes in Boston you need service on them we’ll service anything come on down that’s super cool let’s do it cool cool cool what’s your name again uh I’m Rob Rob Rob okay Sam Rob nice to meet you Sam nice to meet you yeah yeah cool so cool shop and I’m going to keep rumaging yeah how how much your pedals uh I think we do um like 10 10 or 15 for a pair of clipless we tend to do standard Prices for used parts uh even though some of them you know might be more valuable on eBay or whatever we want to see them on bikes so you know a pair of platform pedals no matter what you’re looking at in the bins back here s me five bucks all day long um um and yeah lots of lots of good deals cool cool yeah I’m going to rumage some more might be able to fit pedals on the plane thanks we’re looking in the pedals these golden Richies are [Music] cool yeah well of the same stuff those Richies are are tempting to to take on the plane regular Flats tires got some studded fat tires stems see if there’s a stem that would work TI cool got fors over here Center pool brakes we’ve got all kinds of things we got suspension forks big fat carbon fat bik Fork kind of fun it’s a pretty de donkey Fork we got side pole brakes we’ve got quill stems ke brakes R lever shifters shining Wheels derailers [Music] some gter says 20 bucks for these brifter sets that’s pretty Goodra pretty cool Saddles oh hubs headsets like a look at that thing got the Nexus Hub going on belt driven big cassettes oo shiny that was a big pip plate set all kinds of fun stuff here handle bars more of the back shop I’m assuming [Music] stand frames nice bi Paramount so looks like a pretty cool shop um similar to the bicycle collective in Salt Lake pretty cool if I ever mov to Boston I know where to get bike stuff now so um this was a fun one I’m going to go back to my hotel um as always look for opportunities to give those old things new life and I’ll see you on the next video look for shops like this they’re everywhere that list that I’ve shared before that’s called bike collectives dog has a list of all kinds of shops and that’s actually how I found this one I looked on that list it was listed on it for Massachusetts and in Boston and I took a little time to run down here I’m going to uh probably take one of the blue bike bike shares um back towards my hotel so we’ll see you later ciao also any shop selling ory grips is good Brooks leather grip can get everything you need some of the bikes I think that have been donated or going to be scrapped I’m not sure some fun stuff going [Music] on so just riding back on a blue bike bike rental back to my hotel it’s cold out here it’s like 29° wish I would have bought some gloves yes I’m not wearing a helmet but I didn’t plan on renting a bike to go for a bike ride [Music] I [Music] is
