Some of you asked for cocktails with champagne 🥂 or Prosecco 🍾 So let’s talk about the French 75! 😍

It’s said that the original French 75 most likely had Cognac instead of Gin but, whichever you prefer, both spirits make an excellent French 75!

Yes, this cocktail is served with champagne but for those that want a more economical option you could serve this cocktail with Prosecco. For this video I did use Prosecco as to not waste a bottle of champagne for the video.

French 75
1oz Gin
.5oz Lemon Juice
.5oz Simple Syrup 1:1
Top with Champagne
Garnish: Lemon Twist

let’s make the French 75 we need two drops of saline to help balance out all those flavors a/2 oz of fresh lemon juice a/2 oz of simple syrup 1 oz of gin add your ice strain that into your glass and top with procco i’m going to express some lemon oils garnish with a little twist

  1. But, prosecco is from valdobbiadene so it’s Italian.. doesn’t it make the cocktail an Italian 75 😅. Maybe a champagne or a sparkling French wine would work better for a French 75. Just a thought
