Bikepacking from Italy to Slovenia following the FVG 3 route, starting from Venice to Sacile to Cividale Del Fruili and continuing on to Slovenia where I will loosely follow the Trans Dinarica trail towards Istanbul.
[Applause] All right, I made it to Venice airport. My bike box somehow managed to survive in one piece. However, long story, but I lost all my bicycle tools. So, the first stop is the local bike store. Multi-tool, Italian colored tire levers, tubeless patch kit, bacon strips, and a whole bunch of other stuff. All right, it’s time to build a bike. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Time to refuel on some pizza for my first meal, of course, and hit the road. [Music] [Applause] I’m pretty tired from the flight, so I take an easy first day. I mostly following the FBG3 route from Sachil to Chivadel Defuri. [Music] Remember [Music] to always hydrate. The gelato game here is on a different level. How many calories is three scoops of gelato? Not enough. The food here has been amazing. Carbs, carbs, and more carbs. the lifeblood of every long-distance cyclist. This nasty kebab pizza absolutely destroyed me. And I can’t stop drinking this stuff called cavir. [Music] I love hearing the sound of the bells.
