Once a glorious testament to God’s
might, Avignon has been corrupted and now sits like a cancer on the face
of the glorious kingdom of France. Betrayed by the spurned ambitions of a weak man, the city fell when the Cardinal, driven by
jealousy and his own pathetic weaknesses, opened the gates to the forces of
the Beelzebub, offering them safety after their defeat to the combined armies of
Europe plunging the city into chaos and decay. Now, Avignon is ruled by this puppet Cardinal,
preaching to armies of flies and locusts, whose vile union with a Grail-infected sow
has spawned the Missionaries of the Black Grail. These hideous beasts venture outward from
Avignon, a city now fit to burst from the filth contained within and teach their own profane
bible in the name of their Lord, Beelzebub.

And yet they're still happily married – unlike Anton Mercer's parents.
A profane bible, you say? Go on…
Ah the world’s greatest affront to God… the french

Traitor!!!
So New Antioch is probably encircled if they also get attacked from Avignon
The French
You're telling me a Frenchman surrendered? Wow BIG surprise there 😒
The black/gold color scheme bases with bodyhorror-pigworm is inspired. I want to paint a whole army of minis like this.
Helltaker has broken me. I keep picturing the wrong Beezelbub
Fitting that he’s packing heat…both kinds
Love this especially the fact it’s based in Avignon. The history nerd in me squealed.
Low effort tabletop game. No lore, but good art. Also, unless you're further left than Stalin, you're not welcome.
So why it isnt regular target for artilery pratice?
Well, nothing of value was lost. It is france after all
Dark souls 3 enemy for real
… This lore really doesn't work at all, given how limited the scale of the setting is. While I get it's justifying how things have gotten to the point they have. But there's basically no way for any country to develop at all if such vile horrors have footholds all across Europe, let alone the world. It only runs into more problems when you have shit like this where entire parts of the Papacy itself have fallen and to even get there, you'd have to go past the Papacy as well!
That art looks very similar to the Mozgus from Berserk. The Holy See inquisitor and his entourage.
Sounds like France normally
Managed to defeat an Avatar of Beazabulb… but wiping out the rebels in ONE city that's where they draw the line!
So mormal france?
Well I mean … Sure we are damned but at least we got free Healthcare 🙂
This feels meta since the trash collectors are on strike. Not blaming them mind you.
Typical French move
I can imagine their chants “abortion is a human right”, “trans rights are human rights”, “we’re coming for your children”,….
Wow this is sick!!❤
Is that a colts dragoon in the belt of this abomination?
Still a better Lovestory than Twilight.
Wow they weren’t lying, Beazelbub really did have a devil put aside for them.
How tf can someone SEE the black grail creepy bodyhorror abominations and be like “yeah I think they might be the good guys, lets give them a chance”.
is there a TC bible that contains the lore or does have some subjective elements
sous le pont, d'Avignon, on y dansent tous en rond.
