The Lur de France Queen stage finishing on the cold la. The hardest climb just about ever used in women’s cycling history. And they start with a category one climb. They start with 13k 6% then rolling hills then 65 minutes at 9% to top it off for dessert. And with that hard start you got to be a good climb to be in the break. Trek wanted to be in with Marcus. FDJ and Vizma didn’t want the other in without the other represented. It was torn to pieces straight away on that climb. Brunell went over and over again. Shabby marking her. And then what? Kimina is marking Castelline and Silka Schmoulders. She’s trying to get in the break herself. Leou obviously has to react to the yellow jersey. So that neutralizes Shabi and Maron Bunell, but it’s in a line behind and there is now no control. Bunell goes again. Will not be denied. And then it’s chaos. This is Ne Fisher Black. She jumps in. She’s on three minutes because of a mechanical she had earlier in the race at a bad time, but a really good pure climber on little trek. She’s got Marcus ahead. Justine Hakira jumps ahead. We don’t even know who’s in this group. AG insurance Sudal start to pace with Van Devela to get some semblance of control, but Avida Musich has made it in. So FDJ Su, they have the best place rider in the breakaway. The what former white jersey winner of this race, Avita Musich on only a minute 35. They don’t have to pull behind. They can sit in the wheels all day. And this break it starts to get a pretty good advantage. Goes up to four minutes. Although not everyone’s contributing. Shabi’s pulling of course for Musich. Marcus is pulling of course for Fisher Black. But Bunell is a passenger. He is a passenger. So not everybody’s contributing. But here we see a pivotal moment in the race. Kiml Pina comes to the front of the Dren climb to descend in front of Jagante who is she needs help with descending but she pushes way too hard. It’s like she didn’t know that that left-hander was there that it was just the rightander. She crashes the yellow jersey, but she was already beginning to run as a domestique for Sarah Jagante, their pure climber. Vivas waxed the descent. There’s splits everywhere. Vizma had a plan to pace after the descent if Gigante was dropped. The other Vizma was like, I guess we still got to go for it even though the yellow jerseys dropped. And then FTJ Sue start contributing EF pace with Rug as well for Kerbal and Jagante. She had to do a big effort to come back. I mean, she was on a gap for a while. She has to go all out to come back to this group cuz only a short climb and then it’s a valley afterwards. So trouble for her. She makes it back but it’s a small group and then there’s a further group behind with half the SD works team in yellow jersey. They come back gap goes out to the breakaway again. Next descent of 5k 5% climb. Vivas says to Vizma have some of this. They’re now on the wrong side of a split with I think Canyon and Phoenix to Kernik ahead. So they come back. This is all before the matter end. We still have a 65minut 9% climb coming up and there’s been all this action beforehand. Very small GC group at the bottom although some of the good climbers are here in the breakaway. Marcus starts to pace for Ne Fisher Black. Kim Lort Penar starts to work for Sarah Jagante to set a tempo. The gap went down to 137. Shabby kept it about there and that drops Anna Van Deger who came out of retirement for SD works pro time. But in the breakaway when Fisher Black accelerates, Bunell waits. Or is she waiting? Is she dropped? Is she bad? What’s the plan with Pauline Ferron Provo behind her waiting doing nothing? Not pacing with Fenka Ree. Muzic is also there for FJ Sew. But now the pace from KLCP looks a bit more serious. Riders are in a line. Ryder’s upper bodies are moving a lot more. And it was clear this was the plan. This steep part that hair pin Sarah Jagante go time. And she has a gap. Royak is on her wheel. Nivead is not getting across. But look who’s on a gap already. Pauling Ferron Provo waited with following. Saw what would happen and then attacked her and had a gap. And it was a big gap. She gets across to Sarah Jagante just as she’s getting across to her satellite rider Justin Hakira. And look who doesn’t have a teammate to pull. Demi Voltering. And I know these are steep gradients, but still psychologically having a teammate to pull can make a very very big difference. And the captain of Yodma stays pretty stable. It’s like it was about 5 seconds, 7 seconds, it goes up to 13, 15 seconds to Vering. It goes out pretty big pretty fast, especially when Jagante starts to pull. But now for the second act of Pure Mountain domestique satellite riders. Marion Bunell, the 20-year-old new recruit for Vizma Lisa this year who came second to Vering on the 60-minute climb in Catalunia. She starts to shred with Fisher Black and Castelline only a minute ahead and the gap of which was 15 seconds. She was in sight when Feron Provo caught up to Brunell. That gap explodes 40 seconds to Volering. It’s a minute as Brunell ends her fiveminute lead out and we saw a few gaps when she was pulling a few gaps to Gigante around some steeper paths and Pauline Ferron Provo the big French superstar the Olympic champion in Paris last year drops Sarah Gigante the valiant contender from Australia off her wheel. Fisher Black and Castellina are looking around and thinking, “Oh no, here a shark is coming. A French shark is coming up the metal end and she will not be denied. She gets across them with 7ks to go. Chagante has to recover. The gap goes to 35 seconds. She actually holds on pretty well though. She She has to recover. She doesn’t fully explode. She’s going to still take big time. The French fans are happy with what they’re seeing. And Pauline Feron Provo drops Castelline and Fisher Black one by one. Muzic finally waits for Volring. Pulls her back, but they’re not going to get back to Jagante. They’re on a minute behind her and she would extend that in the last 3.6ks, but it was helpful, I guess, to have someone pulling cuz when there was no one to pull anymore, who wants to relay? Everyone knows the yellow jerseys very, very far up the road. So far indeed that maybe Feron Provoke couldn’t even see them looking down through the switchbacks with a PFP shirtless fan club cheering her on. So France very happy, perfectly executed plan and Feron Bravo incredibly strong. Her best climbing performance of her career by far. Sarah Jagante superstar in the making. Great work from her coming in second and Voling would lose three minutes plus. Fisher Black on 215. Great work from her getting in the break. And yes, Voling 303, Castelline 303, then Kerbal, Larchic, Nidomo, Fininei, Royakas, Bunell. Here is what PFP had to say after the stage. Can you describe the final kilometers? How did you felt? Well, it was so painful the last kilometer also because yeah, I wanted to to have yeah a gap as big as possible for for tomorrow and um yeah, I also try to enjoy but you know until the finish line is not crossed that uh yeah it’s not over yet. So, I just wanted to go as fast as possible to the finish line and um yeah, I’m so happy we made it as a team and yeah, I want to thank my teammate because they have been amazing all week long and uh I really hope you can finish off the work tomorrow. In terms of GC, as expected, huge ramifications. Far Pro goes into yellow by 237 ahead of Sarah Gigante. Vering into third, 22 seconds ahead of Nvidia in fourth. Tomorrow, it’s a tricky stage. They do a mega hard climb the Zuplan. There’s valley afterwards. There’s going to be a huge fight for the podium. It could be a nervous defense for Ferron Provo. Hope you enjoy the video and I’ll see you with the recap tomorrow.

I enjoy the women’s tour more. It seems more individual and isn’t as predictable.
Everyone that comes to Visma turns into a climbing terminator😂
How was that "scary"?
I have found the femmes more intriguing than the men's. Maybe it's because I don't know who is who, and I don't know the sport very well, but I like the surprises that have arisen in this year and last year's femmes.
Vingegaard taking notes …
You really have to give credits also to Marion Bunel. A fantastic rider for this young age, with already some big results in her first year with Visma, did an tremendous job on this stage helping PFP.
TDFF > TDF like if u agree
PFP's weight is ultra low. Gaunt looking 😮
why did music not drop back earlier and help demi?
Give K. Le Court Pienaar a bit of a break, did you see the road condition (@ 2:23), easy to misjudge and hard to correct when the bike jumping in and out of the cracks. I think we have all been there
She was so much in Doping.
Horrible.
Not credible at all !
Should it be the King’s stage ?
For Gigante to become a super star she really needs a downhill coach quickly, imagine what she could do if she wouldn't lose the group every time it goes downhill
All of this crossed my mind yesterday while watching the stage: When the break formed, Soudal was quick to send Ghekiere. They should have done like FDJ and put Muzic in, they should have sent Gigante. If the peloton gives Muzic permission, they should have given it to Gigante too; after all, the gap between them was 10 seconds. Shame on Canyon and SDWorx, who didn't get anyone in. And then SDWorx closes the gap before the final climb, leaving AvdB alone with all her rivals, with domestiques riders in the group and domestiques bridges in the breakaway.
Let's hope the French finally get their TdF champion.
The fact that Gigante is super strong climber but week in descending makes the race actully super tactical and interesting!
Jonas looking extremely masculine and butch these days 👨
Why are they not waiting up a bit, when the yellow jersey had a crash, like in the men's race? I thought these are the unwritten rules of cycling…
*de la Madeleine
slight correction there on the title : Col *de la Medeleine
Great to see Mickey Mouse winning a stage 😅😂
Le Col de la Madeleine
Pro cycling Grand tour stages are full on crazy. A lot going on
This dirty old bike messenger right here is a bit in love with PFP
Great video and Col de la* Madeleine btw
