London Edinburgh London is a 1530 kilometres (950 miles) self-supported cycle ride across the United Kingdom. The route takes you between the iconic capital cities of England and Scotland.

London Edinburgh London is not a race, but you have a maximum of around 128 hours to cycle along the route up to Edinburgh and then back to London.

There are 21 control points (at 14 different venues) along the route. At these controls, we provide:

London Edinburgh London is a test of your mental and physical resilience. If things go wrong, it is up to you to use your skills and experience to put them right. If you are tired, cold or hungry, we will not rescue you! But when you make it to the next control, you are guaranteed our total support and attention.

It’s Richard Heath from Bike Packing Adventures. Bit of an impromptu video. I’m not sure if this will make it to uh to the channel, but hopefully it will. Um I’m here with Tom Sugar. This is my van just just there. We are documenting, recording the people taking part in London, Edinburgh, London this year. We just parked up in my van. I’ve bought loads of drinks. Tom’s bought food like bagel tarts and strawberry jam tarts and things like that. It’s a Tuesday evening. It’s about half half 7. Tom’s doing a bit of a live stream at the moment. He’s got all his camera equipment. I’m just looking down the road. I’m wondering how many people, you know, have still coming by. We’ve been here about an hour. Um hopefully you enjoyed the footage up to this point. Just been saying hello to people, giving them drinks, coke, bit of food, some water if they want it. Tom’s also brought like a lightsaber from Star Wars. We’re using this as a bit of attraction cuz guess who didn’t bring a pen or anything to write on? Me. Free water, food if you need it. Keep on going. Hi there. You all right? So, we got We’ve got Coke, uh, Fanta, water, cordial. Yeah, loads of water. Okay, it’s not that hot today, is it? Thankfully. Bakewell tarts. Bakewell tarts. If you haven’t seen it, because it isn’t released yet, my next video, by the way, is uh going to be featuring Big World T. Hey, guys. All right. Barts, Coca-Cola, water. CocaCola. Oh, enjoy. Although this this thing I’m going to be shaky cam and zoomed in. Do you know I did I did bring me drone but there’s no way I’m going to get it up up in the air tonight. Far too windy. When I left the house it started torrential rain just downpour straight away and I’m like no drone. I’ve got Tom is attempting uh to go live on something. It wants me to toggle it. That’s stupid, isn’t it? I don’t want to do that. Oh, I see. Do you want me to hold Is it working? Yeah. Oh, no. No. any Oh, this is stupid, isn’t it? Oh, no. We’re on. We’re live. Is it working? Oh, excellent. There we go. So, fantastic. No one’s watching at the moment. We’ve got no viewers. So, so this on this is YouTube live. Yeah. Where’s the camera on your screen? Cuz I’m I’m I feel like I’m looking just there. It’s over there somewhere. Is it? Okay. You You look boss if you don’t. Look, a purple bike is ace. That guy a cute purple bike. Quite a color, doesn’t it? It really does work well, doesn’t it? Hello. Hi, Coca-Cola water. Hello. Hi there. I’ve got my eye on a on a a bake or tar. Look. Got another Look at those. Look. I can see operat. Go on. Give us let’s hear some opera. So hang on to me. She came that voice which calls to me and speaks my name and do I dream again. For now I find the opera is there. I know that bit inside my mind. Ooh. Oh, about to set the table up with some more drinks. And if you, you know, see if anybody comes in the next hour and wants a Coke or something like that, I you know, so hopefully we’ll capture a few more people in the next hour. Probably going to say it’s about half 10 and then just uh just head home. It’s been a good It’s been a good evening, has it? Good fun actually. Yeah, it’s been here. It’s been weird. I’ve never done this sort of thing before, but I think you’re riding, you see these people, you think, oh, what what on earth drives these people to actually give out free stuff at the side of the road cuz you think that’s no fun at all. It is really really really it’s it’s nice knowing that someone’s going to benefit from that’s it. Yeah. Drink just really good fun. Yeah, absolutely. Anyway, do you want to Yeah. Are we Are we playing uh ping pong or whatever it’s called? Do you want to play the uh where’s the uh that was that? I think I was thinking I was thinking that American game with the what was it called? Drink beer pong. That’s it. Yeah, we’re going to play beer pong except we haven’t got any beer and we haven’t got any ping pong balls. It it is it is a good feeling. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I’m only a really small channel to be honest. You know there’s these people out there have got tens and thousands hundreds of thousands and uh you know do it for the fun of it. Bit of hobby. Yeah. So just getting out. It’s a scrapbook. It’s a scrapbook of my journeys. That’s the way I look at it. All my videos what I do is it’s not really something something. It’s just for me to look back when I can’t cycle or there’s a a moulder. And I think it’ll be nice to look back. You know, photos are great, but videos even better, you know, especially when you go into a weird place like this. Be marvelous if you can film it all the way. But it just takes so much effort. Yeah, I take I’ve not gotten into this filming. I take some pictures of people and then for for for the fun but but some of my my friend like Adid is doing some some movies and of course the others guys that they like to look at movies or look at their own. So uh just about to call it a night from uh Lincolnshire here in Swallow. Uh it’s been a good evening it hasn’t it all around you know I’ve had really good fun. It’s been fantastic meeting all these people. Fantastic. And what we got? Norwegian, Dutch. Yeah. What was it? Uh few Asian people as well we spoke to earlier. Spanish. I think there was an African as well. Uh Malaysia. We’ve had we’ve been sung to by a Spanish guy doing a bit of opera. That was interesting. That was fantastic. Um that that was on your channel, wasn’t it? It was. So yeah, all the good stuff. I’ll drop a link in somehow. English cyclist, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. English cyclist. I always say top stringer.
