Yeah, something can happen. But it is looking very very good at the moment for Alan and Sophia Gomez view of Toyota Specialized. And just see how the gap is growing to that team so quickly. Incredible riding again of the Toyota Specialized team. Haley uh Smith, uh a very accomplished crosscountry rider in the past and now gravel rider. Um and they’re just putting so such a big gap in such a short time into today. So look over her shoulder from Sophia. We’re riding into unfamiliar territory here. This is all new for the Absake. I think the the pile areas is we did some of the the men say we don’t know we didn’t know the route. We didn’t quite know uh where to press and and what what lane store and that’s a little bit of what the next few days is about as well. Although a lot of the riders would have done some preres on some of the trails to get familiar with the key key places. Did did you do that quite a bit? Did you pride in some of the areas? I used to do that. Yes. Um I lived in South Africa so for me it was easy to go do recon of the stages as much as one could because a lot is on private land and not everything is accessible. So one needs to respect that. Um but the trails that were open to ride I I tried to see it was helping me just um to to know what’s coming and to be prepared for the terrain. Soft sand. It saps the the legs as they make their way in and they’re hunting down another couple of teams here. Sarah Hill I think are really help just ahead and it’s a it’s a carrot that the Aramx women’s leaders are keen to consume because they just look at them surging past our whole bus and he’ll and then it’s shipper as well. Um yeah, that really seems to suffer. Mark was sketchy. Um also lost quite a bit of time there. It looks like it’s not an easy situation to overtake and it’s sandy and there’s actually not really a lot of lines even though it’s a it looks like a wide road, but there’s not really um good space. Um pity we couldn’t sit the wheel because that would have been nice. The headwind was quite heated. Um went through a bit of a low when we ran out of water. I think we underestimated the heat and the the wind were thirsty out there. And then our team guys only gave me a bottle like this big. I was like please. Um, so yeah, but it was good. Good day. Two big, strong, powerful riders who are relishing the opportunity today to use this time trial to make up time on the general classification. For sure. Yeah, incredible riding of those two. Amazing to see after he’s managed to have a few days on his shoulder shoulders last year. the fellow before they put those on championship [Music] today. No, I haven’t done the neighbors today. But uh again, it’s such a hard way, right? Uh these two for sure is yesterday or today. So position [Music] they are supreme here. won the prologue by just three seconds from Weti and Samar Shepard and then dominated yesterday riding away on the biggest the early big climb the Queen of London’s climb and just added time to their lead by over 6 minutes they went into today’s stage and consolidated that again today. So they are the dominant team of the race and they will be in the orange leaders jerseys as we go into stage three which will be a loop around this beautiful valley or not really it’s the mountain that is the focal point here the trails will be called around a far mountain and you’ve ridden there I know Arian a little bit um there were some races there that I’ve done um Beautiful trails but tough um the climbs, steep climbs. Uh but in book months like challenge is a race very tough [Music] as well and I’ll step up for another day of women which is nice through the field They are the big network the bouquet and the laptop this poor and just carry them to the grass and that’s the um so that’s the remember the lottery is open you can enter the unpaid put your name on the list what said they’re going to cook up there yes it’s part of the deal actually it is hot it is it is hot it is fantastic But that’s why you want to everybody this is one that has to be takes enormous amount of preparation commitment sacrifice and compromise of the reward [Music] you will get to see and feel the emotion of all those riders we have to It is she works at it very very best each other [Music] little push to get you to the Another [Music] one Big boy [Music] was almost done. So anyone who would like to come to Switzerland it’s definitely worth it. you right is but around mountain are just as beautiful and it’s great to see not much time I thought about yesterday as a racer but as on these incredible heritage that they have to come out of the first time. But just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the area because of these stunning and a real privilege and pleasure to be a big school. So three days up and we still have the business end of the race to come. I suggest that the race don’t even start tomorrow. A reminder of just how tough this race can be with a little driver into town. But once on the surface, as soon as we see the Eiffel Tower, we knew exhibition after the iconic building some years ago. Well, not that many years ago [Music] finishing it off. I brought the green jersey [Applause] and suddenly the pace was very very different. A new complexion up towards the four and the first descent of Mart itself done in the drive but the rain was to come. Julian Philip wanted to kick on. Often described well by me anyway as a rocket without a stick. Super glow by it. He wanted to hear the applause and they roared them over the top. Tell me it was that nailed that mountain point. But the yellow jersey was never far off the front. We were just wondering when this would settle down. If anything, it got even more confusing. The rain that had been predicted of course began to fall and that is when we had ourselves a breakaway. This was going to be serious. Tranaw was issuing blows. Tip catcher himself. The crowd of course we’re going crazy. So were we close at hand [Music] of this Misa bike wanting to keep Tipatcha within range. Also there, Ballerini looking good when the final bell told for whom would it be at the very end. This was a select band of brothers that were pushing on. The fast men had been left behind. At least the pure fast men and this was all going to be about a wrestle for the last time over himself. Paga was in there. Bernard likewise was on his case. Valerini there perhaps just for fun, but he had intentions of delivering the day. And then of course on a skittering surface who other than the rockard genius in these kind of scenarios he kicked on could he breaka the answer was yes up and over the top could get back on for me gang tried to close down on this he was away 3.4 4 km to go at 13 seconds. Suddenly became 20 thought about invoke the chase and then quite frankly thought better of it. Jordan was on his back wheel. Meanwhile his teammate well was up front. Suddenly it washed over him what he had done. He’s won here of course in a bunch. Now he won solo. One of the rarest of things on the shel. How magnificent was that? banged the bars and said, “Thank you very much.” And we didn’t have long to wait before Tanny Baga would cross the line. Valerie it was that came in just behind them. It was all about the yellow jersey and of course the man that had done it. But Valerie Moorically came to finish this race. But we all came to pay for it. It’s been an amazing tour. Oh, it sounds like a series of classic races day after day after day and I was just the same [Music] and hello to another fabulous [Music] again. Yeah, I mean um the rain is quite sketchy but um I managed to play and supported my um to to keep me to to try over and over again. 19. So, uh, yeah, without getting a little bit I couldn’t control this race and now I’m going to the one there was any [Music] I think the biggest [Music] it has to go to. [Music] And of course the overall there can only be one winner, but he may well win again and again and again. Four titles to his name. Yeah, just um speechless to to win the four tour to France.
