🎬 Day 1 – Cycling from Austria to Pisa Begins! | Rainy Start of a 700km Journey
Day 1 — the journey begins!
After months of planning (and maybe a bit of daydreaming), I finally hit the road from Austria, aiming to cycle all the way to Pisa, Italy — around 700 kilometers over 10 days.
The plan? Pedal through Austrian mountains, the valleys, and into the heart of Tuscany.
The reality? Rain. From the very first pedal stroke.
But even with soaked shoes and fogged-up glasses, there’s something magical about that first day — the nerves, the excitement, the “what-have-I-gotten-myself-into” feeling that makes these trips unforgettable.
In this video, I share the start of the route, the scenery (yes, it’s beautiful even in the rain), and a few thoughts on why I take on these kinds of adventures.
Join me for the first wet, wild, and wonderful kilometers on the road to Pisa!
