I’ve had my Canyon Endurace CF SLX 7 Di2 for just over a month now, and I’ve ridden just over 1000 km on it. My longest ride so far has been 213 km. Overall, I’ve been really happy with the bike.
Fit & Comfort:
I’m 203 cm tall with a 97 cm inseam, and I went with size XXL. The fit is spot on for me. The geometry feels very comfortable and balanced. I think it is great for long rides without compromising too much on performance.
Ride Quality:
The bike feels super smooth and absorbs road chatter well. It’s definitely a comfortable ride, but you can still make speed on it. Sure, it’s not a bike specifically designed for aerodynamics, but for most riders, I think it offers more than enough speed and efficiency.
Pros:
- Very smooth and comfortable ride
- Geometry is excellent, especially for taller riders
- Surprisingly fast for an endurance bike
- Di2 shifting is flawless (so far)
Cons:
- The DT Swiss wheel recall is a known issue. I’m still riding mine and haven’t had any problems yet, but I’m holding off on sending them in until I see some positive customer feedback on the recall process.
- Had an issue with a creaking saddle post (also a known issue), but that was resolved by applying some mounting paste between the posts.
- The integrated top tube storage is a nice idea, but in practice it’s too small to be useful.
TL;DR:
I would definitely recommend considering this bike. It’s not perfect, but it’s a pleasure to ride and IMO great value for money.
