5월에 엄마랑 남동생이랑 네덜란드 여행을 다녀왔어요!
제가 기억력이 좋은 편이 아니라 여행하면서 어딜 갔었는지, 무슨 얘기를 했는지 순식간에 까먹거든요😅
그래서 여행갈 때마다 이렇게 기록해서 올리는데 잊혀져가던 기억들이 되살아나서 편집하는데 너무 재밌더라고요!

저희는 암스테르담 위주로 5박 6일 동안 아주 여유롭게 돌아다녔고
처음 간 도시라 가기 전에 서치를 많이 하고 갔는데 한국에서는 많이 가는 곳은 아닌 거 같더라구요🥲
갔던 곳은 가기 싫고 새로운 곳에 가고 싶어서 찾다가
예쁘다고 소문이 자자하던 암스테르담에 오게 됐는데 걷기만 해도 정말 좋았어요!
특히 저는 도시보다 자연을 더 좋아하는데
자연과 도시의 조화로움을 수도에서 온몸으로 느낄 수 있어서 행복했답니다 ღ’ᴗ‘ღ
아 그리고 은근 디자인, 패션으로도 유명한 것 같았어요!
다들 엄청 멋지게 입고 다녀서 구경하는 재미도 파리 못지 않게 있고
옷가게, 편집샵 뿐만 아니라 그냥 식당, 빵집도 다 핀터레스트에 있을 법하게 너무 특색있게 예쁘더라고요!
보통 인기 많은 도시들은 완전 도시도시~하기만 한데
암스테르담은 수도치고 엄청 큰 편은 아니라 자연이 많아서 다른 느낌으로 다채롭고 눈이 즐거웠어요🌳
아시안이 많이 없어서 인종차별 당할까봐 걱정도 솔직히 좀 했고
특히 한국사람들은 여행 다니면서 열손가락 안에 꼽을 정도로 거의 못 봤는데
대체적으로 너무 친절하더라고요!
기차로 벨기에, 독일도 가기 편하니까 기회가 되신다면 꼭 가보셨음 좋겠어요!

Came to swap my SIM card before the flight (Mom… let’s switch carriers, seriously…) It’s a noon flight, so I had to skip breakfast It was right after the holidays, and the airport was packed Couldn’t believe our flight was completely full too Finally taking off 🛫 Always go with Korean food for in-flight meals I used to ignore Oranda, but wow… this snack is dangerously good C-guard neck pillow C-guard neck pillow + earphones C-guard neck pillow + earphones + AirPod Max C-guard neck pillow + earphones + AirPod Max + Infinite Challenge = the perfect sleep setup Felt gross and wanted to wash my face But airplane water isn’t the best, so I used toner pads instead Also put on a Biodance collagen sheet mask! Saw Deemd use it on flights, so I brought one too If I hadn’t… my skin would’ve been a disaster… Smelled sth yummy and they handed out hot dogs as a snack The clouds outside looked like popcorns 🍿☁️ Woke up and we were flying over the Möbius of the Middle East On my way to baggage claim 🧳 We arrived in the evening, so we’re waiting for the train to head straight to the hotel Amsterdam isn’t that big, so it only takes one train to get from the airport to the city center Just got off at the subway station near our hotel! Me: Whoa… look at all those bikes They say there are more bikes than people here, and now I totally get it It was about a 10-minute walk from the station to our hotel, and when I turned around… Low buildings, quiet streets, perfect weather, a slow sunset Everything I love was right there in that moment — I was just so happy We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM, so I showered early and got some rest Oh, and this is the hotel we stayed at! Now off to brunch — taking an Uber🚕 How can a city look this pretty…? I was chatting with the driver, but couldn’t stop staring out the window The city was so beautiful I couldn’t focus on the conversation We were almost there, but a big truck was blocking the road for a delivery He said walking would be faster, so we got out This place was seriously amazing!!!!! If you ever visit Amsterdam — this is a must. First cortado in a while Mom got a cappuccino and the foam was super creamy Me: Wow… this is sooooo good Mom, try this! Mom: Mmm~ a bit bitter, but tasty. Try mine too Me: I don’t think it’s bitter at all haha Since I like stronger lattes, it tasted really smooth to me Drinking hers like it’s soup Me: My nostrils are flaring now lol Lattes in Western countries are so much smoother and less bitter — love it here My brother got some kind of brioche something Mom ordered something called “the Wolf” And I got shakshuka! Wasn’t sure how to eat it so I just tore up the bread and scooped — hope that’s right lol That tangy yogurt like sauce was the kick Bread in Europe hits different — delicious and easy on the stomach This place was so good and the staff were lovely — felt like a local favorite! Left full and happy, time to explore (Mom and my brother were wondering what kind of birds live around here) Me: I feel like I’ve seen a lot of… Me: …seagulls? We couldn’t get tickets to Anne Frank House so we just walked around the area The harmony between the nature and city was so beautiful! I kept stopping to take it all in Mom and I were unknowingly taking the exact same shot at the same angle lol The weather was perfect, it was calm, green — just so peaceful Why isn’t this place more popular in Korea? It’s amazing but still feels underrated… 😢 Me: I think this is a doorbell? Even the suspected doorbell looks aesthetic here We passed by a bookstore and thought about going in But most of the books were old and in Dutch, so we didn’t go inside Makes sense though — even with English everywhere, Dutch is the official language True to its tulip fame, there were flower stands everywhere Snapped the perfect iPhone wallpaper right here Stopped by this store hoping I could buy a pair you can’t get in Korea But they didn’t have my size So the staff kindly recommended another select shop nearby! Off we go to check it out But not without one more stroll before that Seriously… this city is just way too pretty So I bought them at the select shop the staff recommended… but the payment went through twice?! They said they’d email me for the cancellation and refund — never did.
Went back to the store and they were like,”Oh oops… totally forgot.”
SERIOUSLY?! Me, happily walking… not knowing I was charged twice for those shoes 💸 Anyway, got a metro ticket — heading back toward Centraal to look around slowly The metro app is like €1 cheaper, but I just got a day pass at the station out of laziness And kept doing that every day lol I ended up wandering around looking for ticket machines later Should’ve just bought them on the app while chilling at the hotel Tried using my mileage card to earn points But lots of places don’t accept Amex… Is it a Europe thing…? Anyway, bring both Visa and MasterCard just to be safe! The metro map here is super simple (I love that) Heading from Vijzelgracht to Centraal Sta now! And just like that – we’re here! I sat here and rested for a bit and honestly.. I was so content It’s seriously too pretty I can’t take it… Why aren’t more people coming to here?! Wait, no, don’t come. I’ll just keep this city to myself Tony’s Chocolonely which is a must-buy in the Netherlands!🍫 It’s known for being fair-trade and ethical! Plus the packaging is sooo cute🧸🫧 Especially the ones with “AMSTERDAM” on them is totally my vibe,,,🧡 I only got a few like, “How good can chocolate really be?” And instantly regretted not buying more – it was SOOO good My brother was exhausted, so we headed back to the hotel for a break. I was starving, so first thing I did was having instant Shin Ramyun Always pack these super-concentrated liquid vitamins when I travel💊 (Do they actually give me energy? No clue. But I feel healthier) Orthomol is tangy so it’s kinda refreshing too Time to taste the Tony’s chocolate I bought earlier! Wish I knew what flavor this was… but I have no idea 💦 Kind of weird-looking ngl… 🪺 But rich, sweet, and classic milk chocolate. So good! Got curious and tried another flavor This one’s a deep, rich salted caramel! After the break, we headed out for dinner Craving pizza and pasta, so we came to an Italian restaurant tonight A country with more bikes than people 🚲 The bike lanes are amazing — honestly, you could totally live here without a car Our food finally arrived! We ordered one pizza, one risotto, and one pasta dish But wait… what kind of pasta is this? Anyone know? I think it had mushrooms inside… maybe…? Stopped by Albert Heijn to grab some souvenirs for home Wait, basil pesto for just €1–2?? They even had truffle pesto and so many options 🌿 Even their mayo looks cute here?? Tried a few and… they were amazing Found Shin Ramyun Kimchi flavor which is only sold in Europe Tastes just like kimchi stew with ramen noodles in it.
It’s good! But maybe not a must-buy Turns out the Netherlands has a ton of cheap, high-quality sauces and pesto! Also grabbed some pasta shapes you don’t really see in Korea Heading out for Dutch pancakes for brunch 🥞 The place was packed, so we waited ~10 minutes to be seated Our server was suuuper kind I got a flat white, mom got a cappuccino, and my brother skipped coffee I ordered the “Monsieur Grechkin” with extra salmon Mom wanted the “Potato pancakes Aka Draniky VEGAN”, but they gave us “the NON-vegan” one…. My brother got the “Meat the Paprika” We double-checked while ordering, but I guess something still got mixed up… I was going to ask, but mom said it was fine, so she just ate it But honestly if this happens to you, speak up! It’s totally okay to say, “I think I got a different dish than what I ordered.” “Could you double-check?” – It’s not rude at all! Mom usually eats super lightly, so she said it was way too salty But for me, it was actually really tasty😂 If you visit, maybe ask if they can adjust the salt level! Still, we finished everything — sooo yummy Now off to explore the Miffy neighborhood! Every metro station has its own unique look, so it’s fun to just observe Let’s try getting a transport card this time instead of a paper ticket💳 “English please” I said English, please – Why. Won’t. It. Press. (rage building) – Ah… never mind 😅 (embarrassed) Just to be safe, we bought one card first as a test run €7.50 for the card deposit + €20 balance top-up Classic Europe — card didn’t work 🙃 But it finally went through, so we got two more successfully (Mom watched a SummerSummer video) (She’s now telling us why you should never get on an empty subway in NYC) Mom: In New York… you NEVER… take an empty subway. Me: Why…? Mom: Probably smells reeeaaally bad… or something happened in there Apparently it’s usually crime… or something gross To get to Miffy Town, we had to take a train from Centraal Station Wait… why does this place look exactly like Gwangmyeong Station?! It suddenly felt oddly familiar But that Burger King reminded me — yep, we’re definitely abroad After just a 10–15 min train ride, we made it to Miffy’s town! Feels like the entire world came to see Miffy today They made flower bouquets out of LEGO?! So cool!!!! If I were a LEGO addict, I 100% would’ve waited in line to get one A Miffy traffic light — only found here 🚦 We came just to take a photo with this 😌 It’s TOO cute…… Much more relaxed vibe here compared to Amsterdam Now heading to the village with the official Miffy Museum! The museum’s mostly for little kids, so we decided to check out the Miffy shop across the street instead So many adorable Miffys I wasn’t even into Miffy before But learning it’s from the Netherlands and seeing it everywhere… Those crocheted Miffy keyrings were insanely cute🧶🧵🪡 I’d find Korean Miffy books here!!!!! Ended up buying a crochet keyring and two mugs 💸 Saw someone casually biking by and the vibes were just… magical So I followed that exact path, like I was in a trance Turned out to be a shortcut~!~! There were vintage dishes for sale, but I was too hot and tired to look,,, We were so overheated and drained so we fled to Starbucks at the station They had the Dragon Drink here too — I finished it in like 5 minutes Back to Centraal Station we go~ 🚆 My brother was craving meat, so we came to a BBQ place for dinner 🍖 (It was suuuper tender and really generous portions, so we totally overate) After dinner, we browsed a candy shop right across the street Mom spotted a candy she saw on Youtube and got curious, so she bought it They said it was almond chocolate, but it was just… incredibly sweet candy lol As always, bikes everywhere 🚲 We even saw kids at bike training — this really is the main mode of transportation here We walked around 20,000 steps today, so we headed back to the hotel early The sun doesn’t set until after 10PM which definitely makes us want to stay out longer! But my brother was dead tired, so we called it a day If I’d come alone, I probably would’ve laid down on some grass, put on sunglasses, and taken a nap It felt really safe here, so I think it’d be great even for solo travel!
