[Auto Tranlated] Do you think you have to be far from the city to enjoy nature? Check out this place. It’s only 15 minutes from Dusseldorf. Relax, cycle, and see unexpected things. Hi, guys. So, it’s really sunny in Germany right now , and I’m going to take you on a bike tour in Düsseldorf. We’re going to the area near the airport. There are forests and lakes there too. The scenery is definitely beautiful. So, follow my journey now. Let’s go. Before leaving, I packed my things first. Picnic blanket, towel in case I want to swim. I also brought a power bank, keys, and of course drinking water. Exiting the apartment was immediately greeted by very fresh air. It was a sunny day, green trees and a blue sky without clouds. It was really in the mood for cycling. From here I continued cycling to the station. What makes it comfortable in Germany is the very proper bike lanes. There are even special traffic lights for bikes. It ‘s a small thing, but it makes the cycling experience more calming and exciting and definitely safe for us. I took public transportation first because the route from the apartment was quite steep and winding. But it only took about 15 minutes to get there. After taking the tram, I stopped at Wehrhahn station to continue on the S-Bahn train. Here, I left my bike open because there was no ticket check yet. But when I continued on the S-Bahn towards Flughafen, aka the airport, I immediately folded it up. Because in Germany, bicycles require an additional ticket, but bicycles like mine are free, as long as they are folded. [Train Announcer]: ”Nächste Station Düsseldorf Flughafen” [Train Announcer in Eng]: ”Next Station, Düsseldorf Airport” We arrived at Flughafen station. Now, before starting the adventure, I unfolded the bike first on top. It was really easy, just two movements and it was ready to use. [Music] Now it was time to start today’s adventure. As soon as I got out of the station, I immediately started cycling on the path parallel to the airport fence. Across the fence, I could see planes getting ready to take off, but I ran away to a quieter place . [Music] Before entering the forest, I crossed a very busy big road. But as soon as I entered this bike path, the atmosphere immediately changed. Surrounded by tall trees, the sound of birds, a cool breeze, and the occasional plane passing overhead. [Music] In the middle of the road, I found an information board about the types of birds that are often heard in this forest. It’s quite interesting, it turns out there are so many people living here. [Music] Now, I continue my journey through the surrounding area. Not only trees, but there is also a playground in the middle of the forest. [Music] Following a smaller path, I finally found a bench to rest for a moment. Don’t forget to drink water, take a deep breath, and enjoy the atmosphere. Sometimes we forget that a place as relaxing as this is actually quite far from the airport. [Music] From the forest, I continued along the bike path until I found a map of the area. There I tried to find where the lake was. It turned out to be very close. I went straight ahead. Here I almost showed people without a single thread. But to protect people’s privacy, even the main road was very busy. So I continued on, choosing a smaller, quieter path. Before long, I arrived at a truly peaceful spot. There was only me, the sound of birds, the wind, and the gentle flow of the lake. I continued up a small hill to see the lake from above and the view… Wow, amazing. Finally, I found a big, shady tree. I parked my bike and sat for a while. I didn’t swim, though, the water was still a bit cold for me. My favorite part of this trip was probably the small path between the trees like this. It felt like entering a Ghibli world: Quiet, peaceful, a gentle breeze, and songs from Hayao Miazaki’s films automatically playing in my head. Until finally, I found a small farm area. I stopped for a moment to enjoy the atmosphere. It was so peaceful. But when I glanced at my water bottle, there were only a few glimmers of hope in it, so I immediately looked for the nearest supermarket through tunnels and residential areas. Luckily, there was an Aldi nearby . I parked my bike and made sure to lock it. This is absolutely essential before… Enter the supermarket. As soon as I entered, I went straight to the bakery area to look for snacks. Then I continued to the drinks section to recharge my energy. FYI, beer here is cheaper than drinking water. So, guys, there was an unexpected thing just now. I almost lost my phone in the supermarket. So, after paying, I was too focused on the groceries. So, even though there were only two things, just drinking water and bread. So, I only realized it 5 minutes after leaving and my instinct was to immediately go back to the supermarket and luckily it was at the cashier. So long story short, I asked the cashier and finally she gave me my phone and thank God it wasn’t lost. Hah, the unexpected story in this adventure. So, today’s lesson is don’t get too excited about croissants until you forget your own phone. After a bit of drama, I finally found a small gazebo in the middle of the forest. The place was quiet, cool, and perfect for a short break. I parked my bike and took out the supplies I bought at the supermarket. It might have tasted ordinary, but after cycling quite a distance, it automatically became really nice . After eating, of course, the trash was thrown in the bin. There are trash cans in the forest too. So there’s no reason to litter. After resting, I continued and now I found a new information board. I really like details like this. While exercising, increasing knowledge also makes me feel closer to nature. And my journey continues. So, now it’s 9 pm, I have to get ready to go home. Thank you so much for following my journey today. It was really nice. Was really peaceful, very calm. Yes, I think it’s not going to be the last Nature like this only 15 minutes from the city. It would be a shame not to enjoy it more often. If you like this video, don’t forget to like and share it with your friends who need a little healing.
