Day 19 and the first thing to say is that I’m definitely still not 100% and I made the best of the situation that was happening today. Morning and welcome to day 19 of bike packing the perimeter of Britain fundraising for Movember. Leaving England heading into Wales today and of course it’s raining to start the day but the weather looks like it is going to clear thankfully. This is a great bit of cycle trail. So today started in park gate in the whirl to palog in Wales. I’m really sorry that I probably absolutely butchered the pronunciation of that. Basically you cross over the river and then you’re into Wales and the whole day was actually a lot of cycle lanes which was really very nice. This is the first Welsh flag I saw when I arrived in Wales. And as you can see it’s a stalking headwind. There was a headwind or a cross head kind of wind for most of the day today which was pretty sapping road right along the sea defense walls in the north of Wales as you can see which is quite pretty. Uh a lot of this is a cycle lane and it kind of cuts in land at points cuz there’s a few bits where it’s closed at the moment. That hill in the distance is really really steep. And then I found this bike shop called We Cycles which had a very very lovely dog who just wanted to fuss. She’s very sweet. Had a double cake thing. And uh yeah, shout out to these guys. They very kindly gave me some sports nutrition stuff. Plus the coffee was also very good. So yeah, thank you. We cycle back on a cycle lane. And this is one that kind of crosses like I think a motorway or a very busy a- road if not. And so much of this whole route today was actually on cycleways which is just really nice for the brain. But as I said at the start of this I just still not quite feeling 100%. I think I’m still got a bit of a bug or something that I’m trying to get over. So I was kind of debating what to do. This cycle route itself I do not know how to pronounce that is amazing. But my mate Dion here was waiting for me at the end of it and has guided me a really lovely way to where I’m staying tonight. Dion, if you haven’t watched the Seb Everest film, please watch it to hear a bit about Dion’s story. He’s an incredible human being and he took me to this one of his favorite views in the local area cuz this is his part of Wales that he knows very well. And then we had a chip dinner which was just perfect as an opportunity to have a bit of a catch up. So, thank you Dion and thank you everyone for watching. [Music]
