morning all well we’ve been up for a couple of hours um it’s what is it it’s just gone half past 5 we’ve had our breakfast our normal uh noodles we’ve had that um we’ll start to pack away shortly and head home um there’s a it’s a bit breezy again today but hopefully that will be um behind us we never did um go out again uh last night um yeah I had supper um cleared away and well that was it i fiddled around for an hour or so just doing different bits writing my blog and yeah well then we went to bed so that was it for the night so we never did see any ponies so hopefully we’ll see some before we um disappear this morning um already packed one of my bags um I shall get on and pack the rest and well we shall get on that road right i think actually we’ll go on our normal little ride um around the forest before we head home see if we can find some of these ponies i need to get rid of my rubbish as well uh as you can see I think it may have rained in the other day judging by all the puddles definitely loads of cows about no ponies as such yet where have they all gone they’ve been sensible and left seems it’s the tourist season right let’s go so I’ll turn you around oh well look ponies ahead oh squirrel running across the road there you go look mother and it’s f hello YouTube thank you we not had a photo so I better get a photo with them oh no i think you’re coming a bit close mate there’s nothing in there oh look there we very close i suppose they’re so used to humans oh you moved just at the wrong time mate so there’s nothing here look there’s nothing in there for you see no there isn’t right I got to go see you later mate ow oh God right well I was going to say actually I’ll turn you around again because I was doing maybe I don’t know um yes I was going to say just as we saw them um I’ll go to that um hatchet pond um there’s always ponies and donkeys around there of course i mean your gate’s not open yet so I think we’ll have to go across the cricket pitch ah see you all again soon hopefully right right yep cricket pitch it is although no too much of a pain trying to get through that oh side gate to go this way oh maybe I’ll turn you off until we get um across here it’s going to be a good start to the day guess my back the world good never mind right where’s the There’s a distinctive path there now where’s it going it’s fine we’re not going down on the main bit of the um pitch um yeah I can’t say I slept that well um last night my blooming hip it’s a nightmare to sleep these days i mean I mean I have trouble at home um I can’t lie on my right cuz my hip hurts can’t lie on my left cuz my arm goes to sleep because of that blooming whatever it’s called get it right and lying on my back my legs go to sleep so I spend all night shifting around from one bit to another so although I suppose I probably did in some respects sleep a lot better last night than what I do at home cuz obviously we’ve been well yeah the a day of exercise that’s what you want to call it or personally I don’t just riding it’s a mean of transport to get somewhere oh incoming yes so I don’t No I’m not going to I was thinking maybe I’ll go down to um Limington and really come back through the forest um that way but I think we’ll just take a bimble uh this way uh through uh beauty and up well basically the way we’ve been going back for the last few times turn you around i can’t believe there’s a distinct lack of blooming ponies well I was saying that there loads over there perhaps they just keep away from humans can’t blame them morning i fully subscribe to that one keeping away right let’s turn you around oh oh yes um well I’ve not given into the um oramorph which is good um cuz to be honest it’s probably well out of date anyway it’s from blind me when’s it from i don’t know whenever I had my last hip operation was that 2022 i don’t know it was quite a while ago that I do know [Music] it’s very mild this morning i me I might have to take um my jacket off they did say it’s going to get um warmer as the week goes on then i think I think they said um rain at the weekend cuz I am wondering I know I always say this might go away after um we’ve been to the hospital i don’t really know perhaps we’ll see although I must admit it is a job to get going in the morning cuz it well it’s quite painful um which was one of the reasons why I did come away um yesterday was because I knew I had to um get up and get home um had we not um had to um go home we’d have probably ended up staying another night in the new forest so at least we’re moving forest is ever so green at this time of year turn you around we’re just Oh I mean we’re just sort of coming out of the um wooded part and we’re going onto that um sort of heath part the bit just before um oh whatever that pond packets pond is it London forgot what that’s called now maybe it’s up over the hill and then round the corner oh don’t like the wind that way well I think the wind is behind her it was once we get up here and round the corner it will be again and I think it should be blowing us all the way home it’s Hatchet Pond that’s it it’s just come to me just up the end here we’re just coming up to God i’ve forgotten again hatchet Pond and I think we’ll just stop and see what animals are around if if there are any indeed really well we’ve come down to um hatchet pond but there’s no animals here at all there’s not even any um ducks or anything i mean totally void of any life whatsoever apart from that crow that just flew past go and take some photos oh not that we can see anything i really can’t believe that there’s absolutely no animals here whatsoever i don’t think I’ve ever seen that that whole road looks a bit um busy now and well we will be although most of it seems to be heading down towards Limington not going our way or maybe that’s the way to get up looks like it could be yes that’s a better way right let’s get back on that road now is that sunburn but in an appearance it keeps trying to come through it’s annoying that that road’s um closed not that we was going to go along it um just means all the traffic will be coming our way i can see some blue sky i might have to take my um jacket off really quite warm hello hey all those flies i mean hello lovely hey those flies they’re not good are they mate hey I haven’t got anything for you I’m afraid you can probably smell that chocolate in there there’s a good one right we better go close to that mate don’t chew that right i’m definitely going now yeah chew that blooming ivy mate that’s a pain right oh god have a good day see you later mate that’s not bad going 4 hours to get to Southampton too much patting around but hey I don’t mind when I’m going home it’s It’s fine but can get home late i don’t have to worry about putting a tent up or anything getting a shower is easy don’t have to trace across a campsite for it i was thinking I’m I can’t have an operation yet or rather I don’t think they would i’m not um thinking about my appointment tomorrow cuz I don’t think that’s what they’re going to say i was thinking more of my um hip aspiration i got too many blooming cuts in there i got a bloody hole in my lens still from where I cut myself a while ago we got that list this done god knows how many small cuts so even if an appointment does come through I don’t think they’ll allow me going to be very annoying [Applause] i’m sure I can feel rain in the air that’s the second lot of um children I’ve seen doing their cycling proficiency i saw some back in uh Marchwood very good well that’s annoying it’s just started to rain typical nowhere to shelter either on here hopefully that’s not in for the day debating which way to go home whether we go the main road or uh the ferry are you going on the ferry yes i’ll let you go first good see how that boat kicked when I got it i know way that’s a HGV and the bike i know i know perfect this is hard going now oh I’m really starting to ache now my question is is it because I’ve just been dawling and bimling uh through the forest i mean I mean it’s good lord 7 hours since we left camp and well we’ve not long been off the pink ferry um yeah if you think about it yesterday by me we was well we was down camp by half past 2 i think that was 8 hours not 8 hours cycling but 8 hours in time from leaving home and today we’ve got the wind behind us but I am really struggling ah mind you we got to cycle again well we don’t have to cycle but I always like to cycle to the hospital i mean parking’s a nightmare there although to be honest parking the bikes bit of a nightmare lately as well rather breezy here i mean the old nobody can see the old kite surfers or cipher i think we’ll go via Stokes Bay today don’t know why i think I’m probably best getting home as quick as possible but hey never mind we’ve not been down this way for a couple of weeks maybe i don’t know as I say I don’t know why we come down there here we go wind just missed the ferry never mind i noticed this on the way in good job they done with all these um wild flowers they planted quite good especially now the sun’s out the other thing I noticed coming in uh to Portsmouth the other day well yesterday how bumpy this um circle tracks got seems up really bad oh looks like the arm is on maneuvers what’s that is that a tank yeah black smoke is chucking out well I know the prime minister said we was on a war footing the other day or the other week i hope that’s all it is [Applause] i’ll be joining joining the dad’s army ah I’m telling you name Pike we could always camp at this um campsite here and then cycle in to uh Chicha from here we We’d have the wind behind us then yeah probably nearer as well although to be honest I don’t fancy leaving um my bike um or this one I should say all loaded at the hospital anyway we’ve gone past it now been busy just a minute ago but then I think it’s school pickup time i think that’s why it was so busy coming through Hemsworth there but guess it was yeah it wasn’t good anyway I need to get home i got some um chicken I need to cook before tomorrow well that’s the plan at the moment but as we get nearer we might change our mind and end up at the chip shop again nice and quiet along here today um the ride home from Chipster has been quite good um apart from having um a nice breeze behind me um I took some medic well I took my normal tablets a bit earlier than normal and well they kicked in so making it so much easier that got much room up oh dear bad yes i’ll probably Well I’ll probably I’ll put the mileage on the um bottom i might um film tomorrow although as I say I’m only going to the hospital but we’ll see mom cuz to be honest by the time you see it hopefully things will have been gone and happened yeah so I might do it as a a podcast um I’ll see but well until the next time goodbye [Music]
