Yesterday in Tampere we both had chance to test our swimming wetsuits for the swimming from Helsinki to Tallinn and it felt really good and comfy to swim.
Now the only thing which are missing for the swimming section is the safety boat and 2 drivers.
We are aiming to start the swimming at 14of August and will take around 2 weeks or less depending on the condition of sea, wind and so on.

In order to earn the money for renting our safety boat and two drivers, we are selling our postcards and favorite outdoor gears which we have tested in daily use.

Items we are selling can be found from our bio, story highlights and from our website. Those are mesh base layers from Svala of Finland and titanium bottles from @silverantoutdoors and few other gears. And of course, you can order a postcard from the same places 😊

We need to mention that we have tested these Titanium bottles for 3 years, so we are sure about the quality of those and these fits for bikepacking and Hiking for daily use.

When it comes to mesh layers (Airbase original) from Svala, we have tested these for the last 6 months and they are absolutely game changer when it comes to Hiking or Skiing.
In cold it keeps you warm and when you stop, you won’t feel cold immediately. This is because this net creates small small air holes between your skin and your second layer so you have no wet fabric touching your skin. On top of these also allows your body sweat to vaporate much better compared to conventional base layer.

We are going to swim from Helsinki to Stalin and this is the third section of five Aelan challenge. We started from Northgape in Norway with skis and we’ll end in southern point of South Africa by cycling. We are going to test our swimming set for the first time. Now let’s see how it feels. The swim will be around 90 kilometers and we aim to swim 10 kilometers per day. It will be quite a task to swim that 90 kilometers, but we will make it. But we need to have a safety boat for this section where we can sleep and eat. And it needs to have two drivers. In order to rent this boat, we need to earn the money during this challenge by sending our postcards and some of our favorite outdoor gears with a collaboration with the manufacturers. These outdoor gears are top of the line and tested by us very to the limit. For example, this mesh base layer from Swalla of Finland which is made in Finland and it is a game changer base layer compared to the conventional wool base layer. And of course you can find the link to order these ones from our bio. By the way, we are starting our last running part from Tan Barrett to Helisi tomorrow. This challenge is called five althan and will end in the southern points of South Africa.
