Nice place for those with a desire to live as the "lord of the manor" and who have the bank to cover it all. At the risk of stating the obvious, it's not the 19th century anymore. Servants don't come cheap. When you add up staff, routine expenses and repairs, taxes, insurance & etc. I can't imagine less than ₤1 million a year.

The decoration of most rooms is Victorian at its worst, the first word that comes to mind is "garish". It is proof that money CANNOT buy style.
