I bought this 1951 Schwinn Spitfire a week ago or so, and love it so much. I’ve been into vintage 10-speeds for a while but have never owned a bike this old before.
The previous owner is a mechanical engineer who made sure it was running smoothly, and even locked in the patina with linseed oil. I added the Brooks saddle, crème balloon tires, and swapped the faded badge for a NOS Spitfire badge I was lucky to find.
