Madness in Slovakia’s biggest Bike Fest!

Hello guys, welcome to a new video. So, this adventure starts in Tanino Ad. And this adventure actually starts with a camper van. Uh, it’s me, Diego Herbertazi, and uh, Gport taking on a road trip all the way to Bike Park Kita in Slovakia. As per usual, I’m always the last one. I still have to finish assembling my bike. Brakes were missing, so Diego lend me some brakes. I got a little bit of work to do. Diego is going to go in the bike park for a couple laps because soon after he’s done we have to leave to go all the way to Slovakia. There’s going to be everything like dual slum pump track off parties and then most importantly a slope contest which I’m not going to take part in. What a beautiful view here in Austria. We’re just crossing Austria right now to go into Slovakia. And this is some of the most beautiful views. This is amazing. And after a quick stop at Mecca’s, we’re still in the middle of nowhere, Austria. There you go. [Music] It’s the morning after after a solid 10hour drive around like 2:00 a.m. and got some really good coffee from Dominic. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. And just checking out the place immediately. And this is amazing. Never been here in Bike Park Canada. This is the slopes course. It looks amazing. Check that out. Definitely looking forward to it. Finally, we got to do some laps after some rain. It was like a constant on and off. Rain, sun, rain, sun, slope cell. Yes. Slope cell. No. Bike park ride. Yes. Bike park ride. No. Sun is shining. It’s actually pretty late. It’s like what? 7:00 p.m. 7. Anyway, should we try the dual slum track? No pedal. Let’s try to not break up this track before the event. He’s already got a lead on me. Oh. Oh, God. Oh, no. I win. Ah, that’s awesome. Yo, yep. Oh, yeah. The big line a box shark fin. This is shark fin paradise. Oh, stay. Let’s try this again. [Music] Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah, it’s a little bit slippery now. Oh god. Whoa. Oh, so bike fest is in full swing right now. So, we just had a first full lap on the big free ride line and I think we’re going to repeat that. Do that again. Top to bottom. Yes, TDB. Full TDB on the free right line. We need to get comfortable with it. We have to stop. Our body just crashed. Yeah. Super fast box. Oh, there. Whoa. Oh, as always, babe. But I can’t understand the the lip. Oh, that was the flat. Oh my god. Need a little bit of pedal for the hip. Yeah. Yo, finally. Sick. So, as a last minute thing, I decided to sign up for dual slum, which might or might not be the greatest idea. I saw I’m not the only one on dino bike. So, honestly, I’m just doing it for fun. Let’s do some training laps. W What? This track is tiring as hell on a downhill bike. I tried to set out the suspension a little bit harder, but it’s not helping much or anything. So, I guess it’s time for quality runs. Only one shot of qual run. chest. Daniel, where am I? Plus 97. So, I’m sixth place now. This is not the right bike for this. Place is packed. Look at that. So, after a few other guys, I think I dropped down to eighth, no, ninth place. I guess I still made it into the finals. This is interesting. First round finals against Baron Winkler, my buddy here. What are the odds? We’ve been against each other in spin style a few times. [Music] Wow. Oh my god. I’m so bad. I was like like a band was like [ __ ] That was hectic. Oh, so fun. So, do do we need to go again like switched? Yeah. Okay. So, apparently we’re only going to do one run in the round of 16 and not going to switch tracks because of the apparently hideous thunderstorm that is apparently coming back there. So, they had to cut short and uh so I guess I’m out. Uh we’re like really close though. It was pretty fun. That ends up my dual slum adventure. Right now, on to the next one. So, now actually I have to head down through the dual slum track because there’s a whip off going on that I signed up for and it seems to be a super crazy one. Apparently, they’re going to light up a fire in between the gap. So, I have no idea what I what’s in store. That was actually the fastest way down. And then through here. Okay, it looks like this is the whip off line up. I have no clue where I’m going. I’ve not tested a jump. So, so apparently from what I’ve heard, this is one of the biggest events in Slovakia. You can see the madness. I do believe that. This is insane. It’s a pretty loose program here. Trying Definitely don’t see these things in crank works. Let’s try a lap in in the fire. So, apparently I made it into the final. No idea what he said. Everybody was sending it and yeah, jumping inside of a fire is something that you really never do on a daily basis.
