Yes, it’s summer’s day here in Glasgow, but think again. We have gale forced winds hitting 90 m hour. The trees have come down. Don’t know if you can hear that. It’s absolutely wild. But yes, this is summertime and for some strange reason, we have get gale forced winds. We had torrential rain this morning. You would think it was winter time here in the UK. Temperatures temperatures are a lot lower than normal. Granted, the sun feels warm, but it is very very strange. I don’t know if it’s best to walk closer to a building or walk down the middle of the road as I am just now, but these winds have been catastrophic, bringing chaos to the city. Wild winds in Glasgow. He’s now I believe in the Nightswood area trees have come down blocking roads paths. Look at the old telephone box just over there. That’s been there since I was a kid. Just red. Listen to that wind. Need to be careful it doesn’t take me off my feet. Let’s see who can get a hide today. Shops are put metal up in front of their windows. It must be to be to protect. It’s crazy to you. I thought you was talking to me there. As we get further down the road into a more open space, winds feel a lot stronger. Yep. The winds are a lot stronger in Glasgow today. Gale force winds in the middle of summer. What on earth is going on? Wow. Welcome to the live, guys. We have gale forced winds here in Scotland in Glasgow in the middle of summertime. 90 mph winds. We don’t know what is happening. Gemma boil. Hello again. The winds have picked up crazy in Glasgow. I’ve just seen online that in around my mom’s area, the Nightswood area, uh, which is in this direction, lots of trees have came down. Walk to Annie’s land. See if there’s anything happening out in the main drag. What’s been happening, Gemma? How’s it been where you are? Has the winds affected anyone? I’ll tell you what I’m on the hunt for today. I’m out and about cuz I’m on the hunt for Hule Hu Eel Black Edition. And my local Morrison’s normally has it and stocks it, but they are right out of it just now. Was in earlier today. Welcome live guys. We are here in a beautiful sunny Glasgow, but you would think it was winter time. We have 90 mph. deal forced winds causing destruction all over the city, which is really unusual because at this time of year, you never get this type of weather. In my almost 44 years of being in this planet, it’s not been like this, that’s for sure. Just hoping it doesn’t blow over that high-rise flat. It’s been raining and windy here too. Rain has fallen off now, but still bit windy. Sun’s out too. Good. I’m glad to see the rain seems to be disappearing. We are meant to have these winds up until tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. they said. Look at the pigeons. They can’t even land on the church roof. The winds are wild here in Glasgow. Very good afternoon, guys. It’s Specky Burst Adventures here. We’re live in Glasgow. Walking our way through Gail Force Winds said I’m kind of Midlands of England all the way up to Scotland I believe hammered by these nail forced winds and it’s supposed to be summertime. Wa get take off my feet. Speck is specky’s carrying a bit of weight as well. I mean str force my way through these crazy waves. I’d hate to be a bird in this weather. I know. I was looking at the church roof and the bird was struggling to land the windows taking a remember guys. Welcome to the channel. My name is Specky Barard Adventures. I do food and travel vlogs here on YouTube. Today we’re just out and about in Glasgow, seeing what destruction the winds have caused. Let me tell you, there’s lots of trees have come down today, especially in the west of Glasgow. There’s Spud Shack over there. Spud Shack and Matcha Man. We reviewed that quite recently on the channel. Delicious. We got to speed my spot. It was really, really good. Guys, do me a massive favor. Will you give the live a thumbs up for me? Whoa. Um, if you’re not a subscriber, think about subscribing. It’s completely free. And hit the little notifications bell for future uploads. It means you guys will be kept inundated with everything Specky does. Whether it’s a food or travel vlog or we’re out and about in a city near you. Oh, thanks very much for the thumbs up, guys. Woo! That wind is wild. Hang on to your hatch. Wa! Trees are blowing everywhere. This is crazy weather. This is supposed to be British summertime. Scottish summertime. Imagine if you came from another lovely, beautiful, warm country thinking, I’ll go to the UK. I’m going to go to Scotland. Their weather should be quite nice at this time of year. And you got off a plane, it’s blown a gale. That beautiful sun in the sky. The temperature is quite nice. You take away that this crazy these gale force winds, it’s absolutely perfect. Get the tree in front of us. It’s blowing pretty heavy. When am I doing my next two good to go review? Well, dear or something. I was thinking about it today. I think I’ll do one before the weekend. There you go. Two good to go food review for you before the weekend. Little specky. She’s coming home from holiday with her mom tomorrow. Um, I don’t know if I’m going to be seeing her tomorrow. Her wedding’s there until Thursday. I’ll know that. I’ll know that tomorrow. Um, then I’ve got a big big thing on in Thursday. Very, very important in two years in the coming. Um, and then hopefully maybe do something over the weekend. If I’ve got Laki, I’ll be taking her out with me to do a two good to go review and we’ll probably review somewhere else as well. It’s budget friendly for people. Um, so yeah, we’re almost undecided at this moment in time just because a little speck is coming back from holiday and I don’t know what’s happening just as of yet. But yeah, we will get some that’s for sure. travel vlogs. They will be they will be returning in about 7 weeks time unless Mrs. Bar stew springs something on me and says by the way we’re get away for the weekend or you know we’re get away for your birthday or something. I don’t know. But until then it will probably be about another seven weeks before we take to the skies and head off somewhere into Europe. But then again, who knows? You never know what happens. Now, I just think, you know what? I’ve got some spare time. Let’s go on to Sky Scanner. Let’s have a look at some flights and we just go somewhere. That’s what we’ve done the past couple of trips. When we went to Dublin, when we went to Pisa, these were all spur of the moment ideas. Pisa was fantastic. If you’re new to the channel, guys, head over and check out my pizza vlogs from about six or seven weeks ago. I can’t believe it was that long. Was it that long ago? Quite possibly. Um, and then recently we’ve been in Dublin, seen lots of different things in Dublin. That was pretty good. Very expensive though, let me tell you. The Italian food in the Tuskini region of Italy which is in the west coast city of Pisa is absolutely beautiful. The leaning tower. What a stunning piece of architecture as well. We’ve done some recent restaurants in Glasgow as well. Banu and Freddy’s food club. And we’ve managed to get out and about and do our lives as well. So, yes, we’re ticking over nicely. This week is a little bit of a pause until we find out what’s happening with little Specky. If anyone’s new to the channel, little Specky is my daughter. She’s 6 years old. She likes coming out with daddy as well sometimes, doing some food reviews. We go to places that are familyfriendly and affordable. There’s always something for somebody. We are on Crow Road in Glasgow. We are heading southbound. They’re not going south as in towards England, but we’re heading a a south a southerntherly direction. I’m looking to get myself a bottle. Wa fuel. Wa. That wind is wild. Woo. Yes. Black edition fuel. It’s a meal replacement. I quite enjoy it. Full of different nutrients. Um, make me feel bloated. I fully fine of protein as well as well as lots of different nutrients. Tonight I don’t fancy cooking or eating a big dinner. So I thought get out, try and get some exercise in your legs. You can grab yourself a bottle of fuel. But the biggest thing for me was to see what I just happened to today with this crazy weather. I’ve missed little Specky with her daddy Gemma. I’ve missed her, too. It’s been two whole long weeks. She’s been away in Benador with her mommy and her mommy’s boyfriend. They’ve all been sunning up and having a great time. And little Specky has made a couple of video calls with me. She’s been out and about at Uncle Peg’s bar where her mom and her mom’s partner really enjoying themselves in the sun. She’s enjoyed playing at Nana’s swimming pool as well. And she’s learning to swim, which is amazing. I got a video call. She was doing like a we doggy paddle. And this is all new for little Specky. She’s um quite fearful of the water. And I’ve been trying myself over the past couple of months to help her to swim because yes, I was a lifeguard at one point in my younger days. I was trained in all that kind of stuff. Worked in health and fitness as a young guy. loads of different qualifications. So, I thought I’ll teach little specky to swim, but she wasn’t too confident in doing it. Whereas all her cousins, they’re they’re crazy confident jumping in and out the water, etc. But yes, looks as if she’s got a little bit of confidence. So, that’s fantastic news. These winds are crazy. Can feel it blowing against my the back of me here. The sound’s amazing. I know what what sounds amazing the fact that they’re all in holiday enjoying the sunshine gem and we’re stuck here in the cold. A little specky swimming. Oh, right. Do you know something? I’m going to let you secret. I went the wrong direction. I went in the total wrong direction to get myself a B. Oh my goodness. Bloody hell. Oh, what can Can’t even walk forward properly. I’m having to lean into the wind. I was coming at my back there a second ago. Let’s be careful. The glasses off me. Oh my god. Everybody should be able to swim. Do you know something? It’s very very common. There’s lots of adults um that can’t swim. And I thought I thought I should get four and five into the deep end there swimming pool. Honest to God, I was terrified. Oh, I know. Don’t want to be speculous. Absolutely not. So yes guys, it seems to have came here right at this part of the winter. Is it just a Yeah, it’s just a false sense of security. Definitely a false sense of security. Gale force winds here in Glasgow today during British summertime. What on earth is going on? Oh, I need to be careful. I need to get taken off my feet yet again. This is wild. Welcome to the live guys. Specky Barard Adventures here for Glasgow right in the middle of British summertime and we have gale forced winds for the next 24 hours. There has been destruction everywhere all over the city and we’re just out and about seeing if we can see it. Seeing if we can see anything round about. There’s been lots of trees come down today. Guys, if you’re new to the channel, I do foot and travel vlogs here on YouTube. Now and again we just get out and about when we can having a look around the city of Glasgow. Sometimes we go to other parts of the UK as well this week. Oh, I do apologize Jaba Boy. I completely forgot we will be heading to Edinburgh. Yep. We’ll be going back to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before the end of this week. There’s a couple of vlogs in the channel with that as well, guys. Edinburgh French Festival is showing over 3,000 shows. I want to say it’s 3,400 shows per day every day for 25 days from the 1st of August to the 25th of August. If anyone’s never been to Edinburgh to just now would be a great time to go. The Edinburgh French Festival. Wow, these wins. The Edinburgh French Festival has lots of comedy acts, street performers, you name it. There is lots to see and do. Edinburgh is quite an expensive city though, I would say. Be careful with your pennies in Edinburgh. Let me know in the comments below. Who have we got in the live today? Where are you from? Which country are you from? Do me a favor, guys, in the live. Give me the thumbs up for me. Give the live a thumbs up. It always helps. Gets lots of friends in in the live as well. Gemma, it’s funny. I’ve not heard back from the subject we were talking about this morning. I was intrigued to find out whether I was going to get an apology or not, but probably not. I wouldn’t hold my breath. Woo! This wind is crazy. Yes, Gemma, I did. Um, I got to see Mullet Man and his wife, Mim. I don’t really know his wife, but Mullet Man, what a cool guy he is. Um, I’ve actually vlogged a little bit of his show on my camera and I need to go up the road and edit it. I know I’m a way behind. What day were we on now? Monday. When did I go? I think it was Friday, the opening day. I still haven’t edited it. There’s only a small amount of footage because they were playing music. Um, I’ll probably need to voice over it with some other type of music, but yes, you’ll get to see one of the acts. Mullet man and his wife Mim all the way from New Zealand. They’ve been attending the Edinburgh Festival performing as a jewel since 2008. Yeah, I know. Thanks very much, Gemma. This wind is proper crazy today. So, yes, we’re going to nip into Sainsbury’s, not too far away from here. Look at that. An old tractor in the street. What is that all about? Let’s go up and see it. Surely somebody’s not driving that around the street. It’s pretty awesome, isn’t it? What kind of tires are on there? Super King tires. There you go. It’s an old Ford tractor. How cool is that? Right, here comes the rain. The rain is upon us. I could feel a little bit of rain there. And we’re going to be getting some CR. Look, look at the seating h happened to the seating here. They’ve had to rescue their chairs due to the winds, the gale force winds in Glasgow. Let’s see if it’s affected any other businesses down the road. I seen on Sky News app, Western Australia have been getting unusual weather too. Rain, snow, and thunderstorms. Yes. Where else did I see that? They’ve got it in Italy as well. So much for global warming. It’s no such thing. everywhere is just going to become dry. Absolutely not. In saying that, is it not kind of I want to say it’s kind of maybe winter time, maybe springtime just coming into or is it is it winter time in Australia just now? They shouldn’t be getting weather like that. Yep. Here comes the rain, guys. Oh my goodness. every season almost. I’m surprised those plants have lasted. I meant to do a live earlier on today um at Botanic Gardens Gemma and I went down and they closed over the gates. Um the park had obviously experienced a little bit of damage due to the weather back later in the day. Just wonder if they managed to solve the issues. There we go. So yeah, let’s see if We Pereirie just at the bottom of the street here. Let’s see if that has experienced any damage due to the weather. We pare is obviously a French cafe here in Glasgow. Delicious, expensive place though. They’re right on the corner. These winds are certainly catching me off guard. I’ve got my little anti- theft strap around my wrist that’s held onto my mobile phone just in case the wind takes it out my hand. It won’t go very far. I think the last live we did that was really really busy was in Edinburgh um on Friday. They’ve been pretty quiet the past few days. Everyone must be busy. A very good afternoon to everyone in the live. It’s Specky Bar Adventures. Here we are live here in Glasgow. We are out and about in the gale forced winds. We’re out checking to see what destruction it’s caused here in the west as we’ve seen lots in the news today about the damage to properties it’s been causing. Hey Spec Life as you know it. How are you? How’s your day going? Hello. So there we go. We par. Yep. Their tree has come down. Look, there we go. The little tree in the box. It’s all bent over. Look at the state of that. Oh no. Oh, the tears are boarded up. All the chairs are rounded up. Life as you know it. Do me a favor and give us a thumbs up. We are here at Brim Hill Cross in Glasgow just where these this melted dwelling property sits. It sits on top of an old train station, an under old underground train station that would take you all the way to the train station. um at Botanic Gardens. Thanks very much for the thumbs up as you know it. Not bad, mate. Good. Good. I take it you’ve had a busy day. Yep. This rain’s starting to come down heavy. Now we are almost at Sainsbur. Thank goodness for that. I made some delicious flatbreads as well today. I posted um a little shorts video. Takes took me the whole what, seven or eight minutes to to rustle the ingredients up, heat up a frying pan, and just cook them off in a fried pan. Absolutely delicious. There we go. Same as yourself, Gemma. very very easy and simple to do. So depending on how many you want to make, I would say get 3/4 of a coffee cup of flour, just plain flour. Empty it into a bowl. Um, a little squeeze of or just a little splash of olive oil. Some rock salt, which I use. I use kind of a rock salt. And I put in some oregano or kind of Italian season herbs. And then just add in some water. Just not too much. Maybe add in about 100 mls. Give it a little a mix around. If you need to add more in, just it comes together and it’ll become really sticky in a ball. Um, knead it out a little bit. And then what you want to do is kind of with your index finger and thumb is kind of like grab around the ball, so to speak, and squeeze like a little ball out the top of your hands. Roll it up, pat it out onto a board and with some flour to stop it sticking and quickly just go over it with a rolling pin and and roll it out as as thin as you can. Simple as that. And then stick it into a dry pan that’s on a full heat. Just watching it till it starts to blister and then flip it over onto the other side. I think I done about four of them. Yeah, in less than 8 minutes. Really, really simple stuff. This wind is crazy. Welcome to the live, guys. We’re here in Glasgow in Scotland, part of the United Kingdom. It is UK British uh or is British summertime, but today here in Glasgow, we have crazy gale forced winds, reaching highs of 19 mph. Been major destruction all over the city today. I’ve seen in the local areas and around where I live, trees have come down, blocking roads and paths, lots of different things. Yeah, really tasty. Gemma, give them a go. They’re really, really simple. So, the four that I made out of a bag of flour must have cost me no more than 20 to make. somewhere between 10 and 20 p to make them all when you consider you buy these readym made flatbreads out the supermarket for what two pounds or something like that. These you can make in seconds yourself. So much more tastier and it’s cost you a fraction of the cost. So I think this is something I’m going to be doing in the channel as well guys. um as we get into the kind of winter months, the colder months, I’ll show you the things I like to make and cook, um that doesn’t break the bank as well. So, a little bit of everything. You guys know I try and provide as much as affordable content as possible. Um I also like to do everything else on a budget as well, eating as healthy as I can when I’m cooking at home, but also it doesn’t have to break the bank. Um, so yeah, lots of good stuff coming later in the year, especially when people can’t get out and about in the bad weather. Might want to watch something. I’m not saying I’m Nigela Lawson or Gordon Ramsey. Um, yeah, my my coloring skills are not too bad. So, if you’re just new to the live guys, my name is Specky Bar Adventures and I do food and travel vlogs here on YouTube. Today we’re in Glasgow. We have gale forced winds today spreading all over Scotland and parts of England, which is a bit of a phenomenon at this time of year. This time of year, we’re normally roasting hot in the sunshine. Everything’s great. But today, we’ve got, you know, winter jackets on. Don’t get me wrong, when the the wind stops, it feels really weird having a heavy jacket on and the sunshine. But yeah, I believe Italy has had snow and hailstones as well today. Italy. Um, Gemma I was saying parts of Australia have had it as well. Don’t know what’s going on. Don’t know what’s happening, but let me tell you, it doesn’t seem to be global warming because um everywhere has been wet and windy worldwide, I think, hasn’t it? Oh, except if you’re in London. It’s 29° today. Beautiful, warm, and sunny. Here we go. Let’s go down the road. In fact, there’s Sainsbury’s there. Do you know what? I’m just going to go to my old place where I used to go to pick up stuff. Um, we’ll go to Morrison’s at Partic. And hopefully they have got what I’m looking for. If not, we’ll just come back around and we’ll go to Sainsbury’s, but we’ll start at Morrison’s first cuz I know they do have a better selection um of flavors. Thanks very much. There we go. kind women let us across the road. If you’re new to the channel guys, welcome. It’s Specky Bar Adventures here. So there we go guys. That’s us at the bottom almost at the bottom of Crow Roads in Glasgow. We’re heading left onto the Barton Road in the party area at the west end. Every time I see M&S these days, I always think of what is it? Double cream custard creams are the double cream bourbons. If you’ve never tried them, you need to get them. They’re better than just the the normal ones. I think they’re like 50p a packet. It’s got the double the cream in both of them. sort of they’re a lot fatter just the way I like it. However, I am not willing to spend £3 on six chocolate dipped double creamed custard creams. I just think that is outrageous. Absolutely crazy. In the comments below, guys, let me know whereabouts are you from in the United Kingdom or are you from somewhere more exotic in in the world? Forgot what I was saying there. Are we going to get through? They’re going to go single file. No. They are not going single file. They’re just charging through. There we go. We’re in part it, guys. It’s a Barton Road in Partic. I’ll show you exactly where my first my first flat used to be here in the West End. Don’t think I’ve ever told anybody. So, just across across the road here down that street to the right hand side, Hurn Street it’s called. That’s where I used to live in the left hand side just by the locksmith. Couple of floors up there’s a fabrication. Sunny Partic number. Well, I don’t live there anymore, so I don’t mind telling you. Um, in fact, I can’t remember. Was it number 12 or 13? So, just past the locksmiths, not um not that first close there. The next one along and I lived a couple high. There you go. Lived two up. Was it 12, 13 Horn Street or 12 Horn Street? I can’t remember. It was that long ago. But yeah, I could show you exactly where it was. Used to come around the corner under the railway bridge and go over to that we bar across the road. It’s called Duke and Doris. Um, it’s Gaelic. It means drink at the door. That’s exactly what it means. Duke and Doris. I remember as a we boy. Um, it used to be called the Haburn. H A Y B U R N. Haburn Vault, but it’s been the Duke and Doris for about 20 years now. Used to go in the other food was nice. Get a cold paint a beer. sit and watch whatever sport it was on. Chilling out cuz the house was only around the corner. It was great. Well, why did you ask me then if people use that information? Are you setting me up for a fall? Maybe you should have said, “Specky, don’t be giving your information out. Right guys, there we go. We’ve not seen any major destruction here in the West End at all. The only thing we had was Specky nearly getting blown off his feet a couple of times. No doubt it’s going to pick back up and get get a little bit brutal again, but hopefully we’ll be home in time for that. I’m going to jump on the train after I’ve been into Morrison’s and heads home. Missed your live earlier. Busy we place today. Absolutely. Um yeah, my life wasn’t up to much to be fair. Earlier it was pretty windy and wet. went up to Hope Hill Road for um to do a vlog for Mary McCle whose husband was very disappointed in the channel and was a bit rude, but you know what? We’ll leave that with him. Oh, there we go, guys. Welcome to Partic. We’re at Partic Station, Particle of the City, and Partic Station. So, loads of great city links from Partic. There we go. Bus dances 1 to six, bike parking, and Martin Road, taxi, Riverside Museum, and National Cycle Route 7. There you go. a little bit of information on particularly I’ll second that. Exactly what you said. Um so yes guys I’m going to go just now I’m going into Morrison’s I will be back a little bit later if not tonight. Um hopefully I’ll be back with something tomorrow just health dependent find out what’s happening with little specky and um yeah we should be back. Um, we will be doing Edinburgh Festival as well at some point this week, guys. We will be heading through to Edinburgh. We’ll vlog that. Don’t know whether we’re doing the train again or we’re going to just hop on a bus from Glasgow to Edinburgh. And for Gemma Boy, we are going to get another little too good to go food reviewing as well. As I said, I don’t know when we’re going to be doing it just pure and simply because don’t know what’s happening with Little Specky this week so far. Uh once I know more what’s happening with little Specky, this is the last day of her holidays. She’s probably had a brilliant time. Probably dying to come home and see her daddy at the same time. Uh yeah. So until the next one, guys, everyone take care, stay safe, and be kind. And remember guys, if you can’t be good, be good. That’s it. You’re the best.
