V soboto 23. avgusta 2025 se bo karavana slovenskega spusta zbrala še na tretjem novem prizorišču letošnje sezone: Bike park Weissensee. Sosedje avstrijci bodo pripravili povsem novo progo, ki je v času našega ogleda še ni bilo oziroma je bila v izdelavi. Preveri kaj te čaka na četrti letošnji dirki – DH Weissensee 😉

Hello “meine liebe” downhill fans. I’m here at the beautiful, sunny Weissensee bike park, which will host a round of auner Austrian Gravity Series and 20chocolate Downhill Cup from 22 to 24 August. Carinthia will also crown their state champions. We are here to show you what’s coming – on a track which is not there yet. Let’s see! This will be a great three day event, full of socialising, laughter, fun and racing. There will be something for the other visitors too, there’s bathing in the lake, hiking in the mountains or just enjoying these beautiful trails in the bike park. There will be a start ramp built just below the chairlift’s top station, sending you off into the first wood section, quite a steep one. So let just dig into it. This sure is some good terrain. Maybe the first drop and dive in. Yes. From this steep you’ll exit out of the first woods. Right after there will be the next start ramp for the youngest, the under 13, maybe also the U15. Not decided yet, but something like that. From here on, there will be a jump for the riders coming from the top. The youngest propably won’t pick up the speed for it so they will use the detour. Then some old school turns and we end up in the second wood section, let’s check it out. So this is the old school section waiting for you. We’ll dig through this beautiful open meadow with our sharp tire knobs and then point ourselves into the second wood section. What a great forest backdrop coming from 22 to 24 august. You will experience it as well if you join us. The track direction is currently marked by these flags but the hosts are doing their best to get everything ready by the time of the race. In the middle part there’s some steep first, followed by a natural pump track on this beautiful, fresh, good dirt. The connoisseurs will also call it loam. Well, let’s see the next section. Then we make our way to the last wood section, crossing and joining the bike park line. Attention, all the lines, crossing the race track, will be closed during the event. Here we go, hammering down towards the last jump. It will be set up here just before the finish arena, where you can do your stoppie in front of the crowd and take that win.
