Hi, my name is Finni and Welcome to FinniFitness! Join me on a summer morning cycle along the stunning Drake’s Trail, starting from Tavistock. The sun was shining, the air was fresh, and the Dartmoor landscapes were breathtaking. I was filming the ride, soaking in the views—until I lost focus, crashed my bike, cut my hand, and landed headfirst! Luckily, I walked away bruised but smiling. This ride reminded me that adventure sometimes comes with a tumble. Follow my channel for real stories, beautiful trails, and the ups and downs of staying fit at 62. and beautiful landscapes. Let’s keep going. I’m bleeding. Took a bit of a tumble and bloody cobwebs. I never seen them. Good morning. And I thought I’d go on a bike ride while I was over in the UK in Devon. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a bike with an engine, but I managed to get this one. It’s got no engine, but it’s kindly lent to me by my sister-in-law, Marie. And we’re going to go on the Drake’s Trail. You can’t take a motor bike down here anyway, so I have to use a bicycle. So, hope you enjoy the ride. Little bit different, no noise, nice and smooth along this trail. Um, been riding for probably three hours. Enjoy it. Let’s go. We’re going to the railway bridge tunnel now and we’re heading towards Grenan. Ooh, it’s a bit dark in here. Bit dark. I’m going to put me torch on. Of course, ain’t much good, eh? Got to watch out for the puddles. I’ve been told. So, that’s the reason I’m putting this one on. Morning. Actually, that tunnel was actually longer and darker than our 40 was. Good job going towards cuz there’s a few poles in there. I don’t want to fall off. And there was lots of water dripping down from the top of the bridge. That’s quite eerie really this time of morning. But uh I met somebody else. I haven’t seen anybody out here for ages. And then it gets under the bridge and there’s someone under it. This is even weird. Anyway, let’s continue towards Plymouth. Going tops over another bridge. It’s quite high. I heard a bell ring. I heard a bell ring. I think it was my own bell. Sort of moved over at the way. Look behind me and there was one there. Must have been my own bell. I don’t believe the ghosts. Let’s go. Another bridge. And the sun’s rising. Beautiful landscapes. Let’s keep going. Oh man, I just s up that hill. I’m absolutely knackered. That’ be good going back down though. Let’s keep going. Hang on. We got a gate. We got a gate open now. Me camera’s come loose on me clamp. Hope it don’t fall off. Yeah, I’m going to have to hold my camera. My clamp’s knackered. So, that’s all right. One-handed rider. It’s not a mob bike, is it? So, let’s keep going. At least I got to worry about kangaroos, but I do get deer around here. So, I hope one of them don’t jump out in front of me. Knock me off. Come on. Oh, Oh, no. Ah. just crashed. I smashed me hand. I didn’t realize it was Oh, yeah. All the cobbles. Didn’t even see them. I’m in agony. Dizzy, actually. Good job. I have me on. Plan to rot me in. I’m bleeding. Took a bit of a tumble and bloody cobbles. I never seen them. I was driving along and I picked me camera up to take video of the nice beautiful landscape and there was them big cobbles and I hit them and man I went flying. Smash me. Look at that. I’m going to walk back and show you. I was coming right along here and I was seen this beautiful scenery over there. So I uh shine a camera at the scenery and then headed towards them cobbles which are quite big and I hit them. Man, I went flying and I smashed me head real hard on them cobbles, man. And luckily I got me helmet on cuz I always wear me helmet when I’m in Australia. Not everybody wears a helmet over here, but I thought I’m going to wear my helmet and I’m glad I did cuz I reckon I’d have been knocked unconscious cuz I hit that real hard on this helmet and it saved me. I felt quite dizzy for a bit for a few minutes. So, I feel a bit better now. Let’s sit here and rest and look at the sun and the scenery. My hands still bleeding. It’s pretty nasty. pretty ripped up. Me chain’s come off. I got to fix that now. Well, the bike still works. So, I’ll try it out now. Just put the chain back on. Yeah, that’s all right. I think I’m going to head back cuz my arm’s aching pretty bad and me hands hurting. Still, it’s still good. Look at the scene. Look at the view. Beautiful out here, eh? Beautiful. That view cost me a smashed arm and a broken broken hand. It’s worth it though. There’s no wind and it’s completely silent and it’s absolutely beautiful out here. Stunning. Right.
