My passion for watching the tour to France started long ago and each year I eagerly anticipate which broadcaster will air this spectacular event. Armed with a map of France on my lap, I bask in the thrill of watching the cyclist race through the stunning French landscapes, my friends from France often chuckle at my enthusiasm given that I’m not a cyclist myself and have only owned a bike once, a secondhand tricycle from my childhood, but I tell them siz. It’s all about the breathtaking scenery and the excitement of the race for me. So you can imagine my delight when my friend Franis who lives in Amyan sent me an inviting message. Naturally I jumped at the chance. The race was set to commence from the heart of Ao featuring a dipper fictif. This meant the cyclists would begin at a leisurely pace in the city before picking up speed on their way outside. On July 8th, I found myself standing behind barricades on Ruer Avenue de la Piblique and Rudu Mir right next to Frontwis. We witnessed Christian Pum in the lead car swiftly followed by the pel. What an exhilarating experience. Flashback to 2014. L Grand This was a moment to remember when the tour to France descended upon Yorkshire. We showcase our gorgeous Yorkshire landscape to an astounding 3.5 billion viewers across 188 countries. As an enthusiastic tour maker, I crafted Grandma Abbisonson’s lemon sandwich cake adorned with decorations that celebrated the tour. #lemon sandwich cake recipe. To whip up this delightful cake, gather the following ingredients. Three eggs. Equal weight of the eggs in butter. Caster sugar. Self-raising flour. Zest from one lemon finely grated. 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Milt approximately 2 tbsp. Instructions. One. Preheat your oven to 180°. Mark 4 or 350 fah. Two. Line the base of two 20 cm 8 in cake tins with non-stick baking or grease proof paper. Three, cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture turns pale and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or a food processor for this. Four, gradually add the beaten eggs, incorporating a spoonful of flour if the mixture begins to curdle. Five, seve the remaining flour, then fold it into the mixture along with the lemon zest. Add enough milk to achieve a dropping consistency, which is soft enough to fall from a spoon in a couple of seconds. and six, split the batter between the two cakes tins and bake for about 25 minutes. The cake should pull away from the sides and a skewer inserted into the center should come out clean. Seven, cool the cakes on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then transfer them to cool completely. Lemon buttercream filling. You’ll need 2 oz 50 g butter, 4 oz 110 g icing sugar, plus extra for dusting. Four tablespoons lemon curd, 2 tbsps about one flour or 25 ml milk. Zest from one lemon, finely grated. Instructions. One, cream the butter and icing sugar together until combined. Two, stir in the lemon curd and milk, mixing well. Three, spread this luscious mixture on top of one cool cake layer and place the second layer on top. Dust the top with icing sugar and sprinkle with lemon zest for that finishing touch. My personal connection to France traces back to the Yorkshire Le exchange when I was just 14 years old. It was an ambitious endeavor where hundreds of Yorkshire school children welcomed their French pen pals into their homes for 3 weeks every July. We adventurous youngsters then tricked by train and boat to Leil to join our French families who were excited to show us around Norathically. This life-changing experience introduced me to authentic French cuisine and was the moment I first rode a proper bike. It laid the groundwork for my love affair with France. Perhaps that’s even when my addiction to Lord default began.
