Hi everybody. The shortened stage 19 was a great stage to watch. As expected, Team Emirates and Pogatar kept the break in check and seemed set up to take the win. Pugachar did not get separation though and decided he wasn’t going to give anybody a free ticket to the finish line and a potential win. Arasman took his chances and got separation with 13k to go on the climb to La Plan. For the remainder of the climb, he seemingly remained within check, never getting more than 35 seconds advantage and even dropping as low as 10 to 15 seconds. Yet, as the line approached, with nobody taking turns with Pogatar and Vineyagard’s attack coming too late, Arsman made it stick to take his second epic stage victory of this year’s tour. on GC going into the closing weekend. Pogata maintains his lead and now only has to ensure he stays on the bike. In the fight for the white jersey, Lipovitz took the upper hand today and managed to put some extra time back into only meaning he’ll almost certainly complete my predicted GC podium. Rogich went up front during today’s stage yet ended up paying the price and dropping from fifth to eighth on GC. In the fight for the green jersey, Milan extended his lead by taking the intermediate sprint points. He now has an 80point lead over Pogachar with a maximum of 120 points on offer till Paris. Expect few of these points to go to Pogatar though. So Milan is also as good as guaranteed to secure his first tour to France green jersey. In the fight for the polka dots, Pogata now has a 13-point lead over Vineyagard and a 20point lead over Lenny Martinez with only 14 remaining points on offer in the final two stages. Also, this jersey will almost certainly stay on Pogatcha’s shoulders. Stage 20 then is a 184k hilly stage with just under 3,000 m of elevation gain. The cold lacra climb at the start of the stage is a perfect launching platform to form a strong breakaway and the kotessi is the perfect place to reduce the breakaway group to a manageable size. This stage will almost certainly go to the breakaway which also gets confirmed by the stage odds at the time of recording with Quinn Simmons as the main favorite. That being said, here’s the riders to watch in my book, where I’ll also be focusing on the hilly breakaway riders whom we’ve seen active and informed during this tour to France. Vilder at Quickstep, Laurance at Grenaders, Narvvice and at UAE and Company Bernard or Vanard at Fisma Lisa Bike, Mohitch at Baran Victorious, Po at Fitia at Red Bull and Romeo at Movie Star, Gregoire or Pen at Grama, Abrahamson at Uno X, Schmidt at Jao Alula and Nas Simmons or Skins at Little Burgo at Total Energy, Alip at Tudor and at a Narvvice, Companard, and Schmidt are my four-st star favorites for this stage. Well, Abrahamson and Simmons get three stars. Pow and Vanard get two stars and Nas and Lorance each get one star. In terms of pointing prediction, I’m going with a win for Campanards ahead of Abrahamson and Schmidt. And on Sunday we will end this year tour on the Shaniz in Paris with a slightly different finale though because the riders get presented with the Buddha which gets climbed twice. The final time with 6k to go to the finish with 1k at 5% average. This climb shouldn’t bother the sprinters too much. Yet it may present us with a more interesting stage because there will certainly be people trying to tire the pure sprinters. Betting odds are obviously not yet available at this point and I’m recording this ahead of stage 20. So please keep whatever happens in that stage in mind when watching this preview. Here’s the riders to watch in my book. Merly at Sudal Quickstep, Laurance at the Grenaders, Kunov at Juula, and Vanard at Fis Malisa Bike, Bajos at Bar Victorious, Mike Turnis at Aana, Ymer at Red Bull Bora, and Jonathan Milan at Little Bitner at Picnic Postel, Dear at Ara, and Lee at Lotto, Tis at Total Energy, Gross at Alpacasing, Germay, and at Akerman at Premier Tech and at Tudor. Here’s how these riders compare to each other in the tour so far where we can clearly see that Milan and Merier are the main guys followed by Gross, Germay, Dele and Penu. In terms of stars, Merier, Milan, and Vanard get four stars for this stage. Gross, dele get three stars. M and Da get two stars and Bah House gets one star. And in terms of pointing prediction, I’m calling Merir for the win ahead of the Lee and Milan. And that’s a wrap for the tour. Thanks for joining in. Thanks.😅
Lipowitz won the Young Rider Classification three times this year in France. At Paris-Nice, at the Dauphiné and most likely on Sunday in Paris. German cycling is back.
Tx. On stage 21, I wonder if the nooks and crannies of the Butte Montmartre area can break up the peloton and set up a small group sprint. Too bad MVDP has left, he would have loved this.
Ving to claw back 4mins on stage 20 because he is least expected to attack. Pog thought he had it in the bag.
I hope next year the tour would have more hilly stages for stage hunters so it will be more entertaining for the fans to watch. This years tour has alot of mountain stages set for pog vs vingo duel but only only one riders shows up.
Sprint stages are boring, no jaspersen, mvdp…
@@CyclingGuy see you in the Vuelta! More power to you and God bless
was sad that roglic didnt make it yesterday.
Hi buddy.
Groves for the win!!!! No one expected it 🎤
A lot of predictors disagree with your statement that Butte Montmartre shouldn't bother the sprinters too much. Merlier is seldom mentioned as favorite, though some do think Milan can survive. Do you still think Merlier can get his third win here? I am definitely rooting for him!
