Tadage Pagakar has once again claimed cycling’s most prestigious crown, winning the 2025 Tour to France for the fourth time in six years. The Slovenian superstar showcased complete dominance across the 21 stage race, taking the yellow jersey early and never letting it go. Even in the rain soaked final stage through the streets of Paris, Pogakar pushed the pace, refusing to simply coast to victory. Despite the title being secure, he stayed in the lead group, battling slick cobblestones and cheering fans as the pelican made its way past iconic landmarks like the Louv and Eiffel Tower. Wout Vanair ultimately claimed the final stage win with a late breakaway, but all eyes were on Pavikar who crossed the finish line amid roars from the crowd. With race times frozen due to dangerous conditions 50 kilometers from the end, the ceremonial ride into the Champosis became a celebration of Pagakar’s mastery. He finished the tour 4 minutes and 24 seconds ahead of rival Jonas Vinggard who took second with Germany’s Florian Lipoitz rounding out the podium. Pagakar also secured the Pula dot jersey as the best climber adding to his incredible tally. Italy’s Jonathan Milan earned the green jersey as the points leader while Lipowitz claimed the white jersey as best young rider. The 26-year-old Pagakar credited his team and their aggressive approach from day one, saying he felt his form solidified by stage five. His performance added another chapter to a career already defined by brilliance, Olympic bronze for tour titles, and dominance on the global stage. Fans braved thunderstorms in Paris to celebrate him with champagne flowing on the champis. Though the weather tried to dampen the day, the spirit of the race and Pogakar’s unrelenting drive shine through.
