[Music] the bike plus is the latest and greatest peloton indoor cycle with more features and a higher price tag than its predecessor it’s 2500 bucks plus 39 dollars a month for classes but is it worth it let’s take a ride and find out like the original peloton bike which now sells for six hundred dollars less the bike plus is an attractive machine with a small footprint and big beautiful touchscreen that screen can now rotate which means you can more easily participate in off bike classes like weight training yoga and even meditation [Applause] another welcome new feature is auto follow in which the class instructor controls the bike’s pedaling resistance levels so you don’t have to constantly fiddle with the knob i also liked the newly added support for apple gym kit which lets me pair my apple watch and get real-time heart rate readings during classes [Music] now i spent over a month taking classes on the bike as did my wife and we both really enjoyed the huge variety of class types and instructors you can pick a class based on the length based on your skill level you can even choose what style of music that you like and pick a class based on that although stationary cycling can get boring the trainers bring a lot of fun and energy to the experience the real-time leaderboards add to the fun as well even if you can’t reach the very top you can at least try to beat the rider ahead of you i honestly didn’t expect to like it but i really did however the one area where we both struggled was with the clip in petals which require special shoes that cost a hefty 125 dollars per pair that added expense is tough enough to swallow but our real issue was getting our feet unclipped from the petals it’s an awkward uncomfortable process that really requires some practice to master early on we both got stuck a few times unable to unclip it all without help not fun once you get used to clipping in and out though the overall experience of using the bike plus is pretty great so yes if money is no object i think you’ll really enjoy owning the peloton bike plus however if you can’t quite swing it that’s okay there are a lot of nearly as good alternatives that cost less and we’ll provide a link to some of those down below and if you really want a cheap option check out the do it yourself alternatives as well

  1. Not really familiar with the cleats for the peloton bike, however you can always change your clip on pedals and the cleats of your shoes for a more cycling prove system like shimano or look keo classic. if you are a cyclist aficionado most likely you have those already.

  2. Very helpful video in detail, I am a ux researcher assistant who is looking for user feed back from Peloton bikes, I wounder if you or anyone in the chat would be Interested for a one hour interview section with £100 reward voucher. Please let me know, thank you.

  3. Purchased the Bike Plus back in June 2021. For the past couple of months I’ve been experiencing pedal crank noise & wobbly handlebar issues. I contacted Peleton tech support, sent them uploaded videos and I was told that replacement parts were going to be ordered and shipped directly to me, a third party vendor is going to contact me to schedule an appointment to replace the parts. Frankly, I didn’t spend nearly $3K for the bike & extended warranty to have a third party vendor come out to troubleshoot. I’m not too happy about that. It makes me feel like PELETON is no different than Nordictrack. So keep that in mind before you spend your hard earned money.

  4. Adjust the pedals ! There is an adjustment on the pedals to make it easier to clip in and out. Basic stuff for experienced cyclists.

  5. I'm thinking of buying a used on , is there any chance I could have issues with previous owner not paying monthly fees or owing money on bike without me knowing. ? Also, are there any free classes on the touch screen or you tube that I can access without paying a monthly fee ?

  6. A fake bike that takes you nowhere 😂😅 😂.. what a waste of $$$$ .. I’d rather be outdoors on real road bike doing Crits and Endurance rides!

  7. Great video! What do you think about the Peloton bikes from Trademyspin? They offer an 18 month warranty and sell the peloton for $579. Seems like a crazy low price for such a great bike.

  8. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG! Get screens on the gymbikes so we can do our own spinning and trainings! But nooo, my gym got new bikes after 15 years and they dont even have a screen. Damn it!
