This is a war specification bike restored in the original black with yellow pinstripe and waterslide arrow/darts. The Pastime badge is just one of numerous brands CCM applied to their products to make it seem like they didn't have total monopoly of the industry.
During WWII, the government imposed restrictions on materials needed for the war effort. Under the War Orders and Regulations Act, bicycle designs were specified to use a minimum of steel and rubber, so this one has wood pedals and handlebar grips, painted rims, no chain guard and a leather saddle. Restrictions got so severe at this time that people had to make application to the Government justifying why they needed a new bicycle. The limited production numbers and passage of 80 years make this thing very rare now.
