[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Welcome to The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Lord France this sacred site has witnessed Miracles hosted millions of pilgrims and stands as a Beacon of Faith join us as we journey through its fascinating history architecture and spiritual Legacy [Music] St bernardet subir Rose born on January 7th 1844 in Lord’s France at the age of 14 experienced 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary at The Grotto of masel from February to July 1858 during these apparitions Mary revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception and instructed bernardet to dig for a a spring of water now known for its miraculous healing powers despite initial skepticism the church recognized the apparitions as authentic in 1862 bernardet later joined the Sisters of Charity in Naes where she lived humbly until her death on April 16th 1879 and was canonized a saint on December 8th 1933 by Pope Pas the filth [Music] after 4 years of thorough investigation the Catholic Church declared the apparitions genuine marking a turning point in lords’s history as a sacred sight of healing and Faith this recognition paved the way for the development of the San uary of Our Lady of [Music] [Music] Lords the sanctuary of Our Lady of Lords features three basilicas each reflecting different architectural Styles and built to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims the Basilica of the the Immaculate Conception also known as the upper Basilica was constructed between 1866 and 1871 in a Neo Gothic style and stands Above The Grotto where St bernardet saw the apparitions to serve the increasing number of visitors the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary was built from 1883 to 1889 in a Neo Byzantine Style with a dome structure and 15 chapels representing the rosary’s Mysteries finally the B bica of St Pas tin an underground Basilica completed in 1958 for the Centennial of the apparitions was designed in a modern brutalist style and can hold up to 25,000 pilgrims for large lurgical events together these three basilicas form the spiritual heart of Lords welcoming millions of pilgrims each year [Music] one of the defining features of Lords is its association with miraculous healings since 1858 pilgrims have come to the spring to seek both physical and spiritual healing the Lord’s Medical Bureau established in 1883 has investigated thousands of cases with a select few being recognized as scientifically unexplainable miracles [Music] one of the most moving experiences at Lords is the candlelight procession held every evening Pilgrims from all over the world come together to pray the rosary United in Faith and Hope This powerful symbol of solidarity and devotion has been a Hallmark of Lord’s pilgrimages for over a [Music] century oh
