Tour de France 2025 Stage 19 to La Plagne preview – top 10 favorites & podium prediction.
First 35k and opening climb have been removed from the course, which largely reduces the chances for the breakaway and which increases POG’s chances.

Hi everybody. Well, that was a bit disappointing when Visma Lisa Bike opened it on the motherland. I expected we’d be up for the battle of the century. Yet clearly Vineyagard didn’t have the legs. Pogata obviously didn’t need to attack. Or maybe his cold is bothering him more than he wants us to believe. Or we’re seeing an even more mature Pogachar who takes things more economically. Whichever way, the fireworks everybody, including myself, expected didn’t happen. and Beno Connor took an amazing stage victory in the background only made up a lot of time on Lipoitz as a result on GC and in the fight for the wide jersey only now sits at only 22 seconds from Lipoitz which will be interesting to follow on tomorrow’s stage during today’s stage we also lost Carlos Rodriguez who did not start the stage following yesterday’s crash and Mus did not finish today’s stage in the fight for the green jersey Milan solidified his lead by taking the intermediate sprint points. He now has a 75point lead over Pagata with a maximum of 160 points together till Paris. The polka dots are now sitting even tighter on Pogata’s shoulders who has a 16point lead over Vineyagard and a 33 point lead over Lenny Martinez. Tomorrow’s stage will be decisive yet it looks quite likely that Pogata will take the polka dots. Stage 19 is the final mountain stage of this year’s tour. 13k short only going up and down though good for 4,500 m of elevation gain crossing the cold depre halfway through the stage and finishing in llang 19k at 7% average in 21 markun monir in the dolphin while in the tour we have to go back to bogurt’s win back in 2002 the finish climb to laa is long yet quite regular the cold the prey which sits halfway through the stage is more irregular and and has some double-digit kilometers in there. If Yonas has better legs than today, this is where Visman Lisa bike will get their last chance to put pressure on Pogachar. Should he break and should Yonas have satellite riders up the road, something is still possible. Yet, it is highly unlikely in my book. Here’s the stage shots at the time of recording with Pugachar once more the outright favorite. That being said, here’s the riders to watch in my book, which will be a mix of GC and breakaway riders. Valantra for Sudal quickstep. Aras manos who finds a finish climb here that really suits him. Pagacha and Vinegard in a GC scenario with potential options for their main lieutenants Adam Yates and Septus. Bitrago, Healey and Rubio from a breakaway scenario and both Rogich and Lipoitz at Red Bull Bora only at Picnic Posanelita at Aana or Conor at Juula and Felix Gal at Deatlon. Foca, Alan Johansson at Yuno X and Stoer at Tudor. In terms of stars, Pogacher is my only fourstar favorite. Vinegar, Adam Yates and get three stars. Arismanovich each get two stars and Gal Storego and Valant Panther each get one star. As for the podium, I’m going with a win for Adam Yates out of a satellite rider position with Pogachar in second and Vineyagard in third. Enjoy the stage and see you tomorrow for a preview on the closing

Another fairly easy pick. Tadej for $50 and 15 guys from your pick. Ben O'Connor's paid $220.
Thankyou my cyclemate
@CyclingGuy The stage has been changed, there will be a short flat run-in to Beaufort, so the first climb will be bypassed. This leaves a 90km stage. Very easy to control. I expect a succesful break will be impossible.
This should also benefit Roglic
95km stage,changes everything,no satellite riders,could be really messy!I hope
Imagine Pog goes from 50km out. Wins by 2 mins.
Breaking News: Due to an outbreak of "nodular dermatitis" in a herd of cattle, the Col des Saisies will not be crossed in consultation with local authorities. The route will be shortened to 95 kilometers.
Thank you. Pog is just too strong this year. Good on him. Thanks for the coverage
Hi buddy
Pogacar, is riding easy. I think he is showing more restraint now. I don’t think he is worried about his legs.
Kudos to UAE race director. A younger pogacar would try to win Ventoux and Yesterday's queen stage to add on his impressive palmares. But played it safe.
