  1. Thank you! Wales is truly a breathtakingly beautiful piece of our planet! Very much appreciate that you use your channel to show it to us. As well as keeping us updated on Wrexham AFC!👍

  2. Ah, Dinas Bran. I have a fancy that it inspired Tolkien's Weathertop in Lord of the Rings. After all, as he took his holidays in North Wales from his family home in Birmingham, he must have travelled through Llangollen at some point or other. Anyways…just one of those idle fancies one has.

I once walked across The Aqueduct. I did not enjoy it one little bit. Not good with sheer drops, me.

  3. The tourist board of north Wales hardly needs to exist what with third parties doing their job for them. The crazy bit is that, dare I say it, other parts of North Wales are even more spectacular.

  4. Thanks Tom. I forwarded this one to my daughter and her man as they are going to Wales this summer. I am sure they will be impressed by the beauty of Wrexham and surroundings. Thanks for posting this.

  5. Wow! That's a beautiful video Tom, thanks!

There's obviously a lot to do and see. That boat ride across the aqueduct would be spectacular. Peaceful with a gorgeous view.

    Have a good day 😊

  6. The big question is.. 'How many locals experience and appreciate what is on their doorstep?'. For too many people elsewhere it is sadly too low a percentage

  7. This kinda reminds me of a Rick Steves (famous European focused travel author) where he covered Northern Wales and Liverpool

  8. Some lovely places locally. Another one of my favourites is Pistyll Rhaeadr. In the Berwyn mountains. It’s the Highest waterfall in Wales and also one of the 7 wonders of Wales. Well worth a visit if you’ve not been.

  9. Let's face it, Wrexham is a bit of a hell hole, regardless of the picture the documentary likes to paint, but you're right about the surrounding area, really beautiful and well worth a visit.

  10. Gloriously glowing nature! As a born & bred American, just seeing old things from the 'wild west' is amazing, then we come across things from Native Americans and it boggles my mind. Many here are not used to thinking 'history' here as more than 'white history', but Native American history is as old as European history. American history is not nearly as old as most countries', other than this land mass.

  11. I cant believe im going to be out there in just over a year i cannot wait!!!! Its been almost 10 years since ive been in the UK and ive never been to Wales. Cannot. Wait!!!!

  12. Oh My goodness …Absolutely Stunning, I always new North Wales was beautiful …but WOW , I plan to visit in the the next 2-3 yrs.. Its The ONLY place I want to go too, Thx Brother Tom, Cheers

  13. The views from Castell Dina’s Bran are spectacular.
Just outside Llangollen along a very narrow twisting road!!
So much to see and enjoy in North Wales around going to watch Wrecsam play at the Stok Cae Ras.

  14. OMG, Tom I love this so much.
I was expecting to spent a couple week in Wrexham, but with you'll just shown me I don't thin a month is enough and I definitely don't want to wait till I retire to visit.

  15. ah i got flashback as a teenager where the school took us on a ecology trip to wales, at rhyd-y-creuau and i remember waking up in the morning and that fresh air = heavenly. and that was 25+ years ago and i think about that every now and then. thanks tom for this video. i know it's the "grass is greener on the other side" idiom, but for me, this was definitely it.

  16. Hey Tom, You should have put a cameo of yourself in as Alfred Hitchcock would have done ✅.
I was away on vacation and missed this till just now. Thanks for putting this together. I’ll save for my trip to Wrexham from 🇨🇦.
    Cheers 🍻
ps I would want to swim the length of the aqueduct 😜
