Today was about figuring out what I want from this bike packing trip. It sounds so stupid, but it’s crazy how hard it is to realize that realize number one what you want and that you’re allowed to do it. I ended up kind of crashing on a bench 40-ish miles in right before I hit Lintz. My back just cracked. I just feel so busy. Like I want to enjoy these cities. That’s part of this trip. I literally just had an epiphany of like, oh, I can make this trip exactly what I want this trip to be. To me, what’s so fun about bike packing is the idea of exploring and seeing the space between the big cities, then also like getting to cool cities and playing around on the bike and having time to go down alleyways and check out the vibe of the place. having really awesome coffees and good food and beer at the end of the night. Like that is what bike packing is about to me. Being aware that I could do that felt like a weight off my shoulders was like, “Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. This is what I want this trip to be. I can stop here in Linds and I can enjoy Linds tomorrow.
