To be honest, I wanted the stage win, but uh of course priority is the yellow jersey. One final test, mountain test. It’s looking extremely good. Yeah, let’s uh let’s go for it and uh then we can go to vacation. The 93 case is not long. It’s hard but for everyone after the sprint you have four case before the first climb this important put in good position Michael you lo the first part help with the mateo the climb okay and I’m at the top you guy yeah you have around 30 k downhill if I’m not here take this part top 10 maximum because for sure the guy in the front sprint after every corner and you you take a gap and then you don’t come back the fact it’s shorter Does it change things now? With the shortened stage, it’s just going to be full gas from the start to finish. So, I think the shortness of it makes it pretty easy to control, particularly with Neil’s Paul at the right where he’s riding. He could control this pelon single-handedly. 22 seconds. I suppose you know what that means. I just need to look at Oscar and yeah, not focusing too much on what Yonas and Puy are doing. And still optimistic. Of course, I will uh keep trying until until Paris. This is his last chance at at trying to make inroads on today. Today probably wants to get another win. You know, Lo, no, never been there, but uh first time for everything. Race organizers chopped 35 km off the stage, but it didn’t make things much easier for the riders. With the testing called Dup Prey and the climb to the finish at Llan all within some 93 km, it promised to be a fast and nervy stage. It certainly was quick almost from the off as there was still an early intermediate sprint to negotiate. The little trek team forcing the pace to give Jonathan Milan the best chance of grabbing the points to reinforce his hold on the green jersey. The track wrote their tactic in the CPA chat group on WhatsApp. Okay, apparently they’re going to pull until the sprint. And here is the sprint starting to open up. Jonathan Milan in second place. Gay is there. Anthony Turgis, Abrahamson, the same riders we’ve seen throughout this tour. as Milan now kicks. Germay is on the wheel and Milan looks around. Turgis on the other side. Milan takes it. 352 points now for Jonathan Milan. Just for reference, can we at any stage in the future avoid doing that with our tactics? Those who still had the legs went on the attack on the cold prey. Primos Rogalich was one of those riders as was Lenny Martinez, a man with design to being this year’s king of the mountains. And they were soon joined by stage 16 winner Valent Par. Back down the mountain, a group of four dug deep in a bid to close the gap. At the top, Martinez claimed a precious maximum hall of points. [Music] Look at Martinez digging deep here at the top of this mountain. 97 points now in the king of the mountains to Talibas 105. Broglitch comes down to Valentine Barry Pants and just goes absolutely flying past. He’s on a mission today. He’s thrown everything at it to just try and move up. Give his team something to shout about tonight. Broglitch is flying 71 km an hour. My usual thank you Aronman looking to attack. Big move by the rider who’s already won a stage and this is the time now to put the tour to France to bed. He goes past Aaron as though he’s in a different bike race. I think Vindigar wants to win today. Another attack of Aaron. This time he decides to go and he’s not scared of doing so despite these riders going past him like he had his brakes on. No, no, he he knows these two riders are going to look at each other. The thing is when when they don’t look at each other, they go for it. But Aaron goes again. His pure climbing style as Aaron jumps away. [Music] You take all the you’ve been through to get here and you put it into the pedals, mate. We’re so proud here. Okay, come on, mate. [Music] [Applause] Arensman can see the finish line now. This has been an immense move up La Plan. Are they going to come sprinting past him or is he going to win the stage? Inosios Grenaders. Here comes Florian Leapovich. Pagatcha actually doesn’t have the legs and Rengagard’s going to go and try and beat him. the top of Lela. The final odds category climb of this race. Finger guard now starts to move. Can Aaronman win the stage? He’s hanging on. Aaronman makes it to the top of Lela and he wins his second stage in this year’s Tour to France. [Applause] [Music] [Music] I I can’t believe it. Like already to win one stage in the tour. [Music] It feels like I’m dreaming, you know? It’s I don’t know what I just do. Like it’s just crazy. And Yeah, I don’t know. What a day for Thyman Aaron who takes his second stage win on this year’s tour to France. After victory at Super Baner, the Dutch rider certainly having a debut tour to remember, especially by putting Pagacha and Vingard behind him on the day. Overall though, Pagacha remains out in front and with a lead of over four minutes on Vingard. With just two stages to go, a fourth tour to France title is almost within reach. The sprinters managed to squeeze inside the time delay and Jonathan Milan’s points early in the stage means his tour debut looks like ending with him taking home the green jersey. Pagar remains in the polka dot jersey. Vingard is second despite the best efforts of Lenny Martinez. And the race for the white jersey appears to have tipped Lipovitz’s way after Oscar only had a tough day. The German rider now has more than a minute in hand on his British rival.
