There is something wonderful about being on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, watching the Tour de France and the race yesterday was absolutely superb..

To be part of the crowds on the final slopes to the summit was an amazing experience, and the celebrations when the young french rider Valentin Paret-Peintre won the final sprint to the line were simply joyous, including an impromptu rendition of La Marseillaise…
