welcome to the new video we hope you have a good day after a long cold winter we were more than ready for a break a real chance to recharge unwind and rediscover the joy of slow intentional living holidays aren’t just a luxury they are essential they remind us who we are when we are not rushing through everyday routines they give us space to reconnect to explore and to truly rest we decided to escape to the beautiful French Riviera and the charming coastal town of Tulong a place full of light color romance and that irresistible southern French charm [Music] our journey began with a smooth flight from Prague airport to Marseilles as we soared over Europe we were treated to a stunning bird’s eyee views of rolling landscape twinkling lakes and rivers giving way to the coast of southern France [Music] to take it easy on our first night we booked a stay at the Holiday in Express near the airport in Vitrol getting to the hotel was super easy the hotel offers a free airport shuttle service operating daily from 5:00 a.m to midnight there are special shuttle machines outside of terminals with an intercom that will connect you directly to the hotel reception if you arrived at terminal 2 go outside and look for the numbered bus stops find the stop number five and the column with the intercom is on the other side of the road opposite this bus stop just find the button for the Holiday Inn Express or any hotel in the area that you booked and that offers a shuttle press it and talk to the [Music] receptionist if you arrived at Terminal 1 head outside and look for column with a shuttle logo on the top just hit the button for the hotel and you are all set [Music] hello i barely had time to take a proper video before the car showed up it was so quick and the ride to the hotel only took a few minutes [Music] music empty [Music] our room at this hotel was quite nice it was clean and comfortable offering a nice view from the window and actually everything what you need for a pleasant stay [Music] the sw [Music] Dear love [Music] the outdoor area was equally impressive providing a relaxing atmosphere to rest after the journey [Music] since the hotel restaurant was closed the receptionist kindly recommended a nearby restaurant just a pleasant 5-minute walk [Music] away the warm and sunny evening created the perfect setting for a delightful dinner [Music] the [Music] sw i ordered a delicious salad and Mr prague enjoyed a burger there is also a nice business area in the hotel where you can sit and work if you need the next morning after breakfast it was time to head to our actual holiday destination the charming Tulong we initially considered taking the train from Vitrol’s train station in the end however we decided on the easier and cheaper option the bus our bus was leaving directly from Marles airport so when we checked into our hotel the day before we also reserved their free shuttle back to the terminals we bought our bus tickets online in advance and reserved our seats as well the bus company was called blah blah Car the bus was coming from Melier and it was a bit late due to traffic however the company sent us a text message and an email with a link to live streaming which was really handy while we are waiting here for our bus let me show you the bus line 91 if you ever need to go from the Marles airport to the main train station Ganchal this bus line will take you there it leaves from stop 6 and runs quite frequently in the description I will leave a link to the website where we booked bus tickets to Tulong and where you can also find more information about traveling from Marseilles airport and just a quick note this video is not sponsored we paid full price for everything ourselves we’re simply sharing our experience with you in case you’re planning a similar trip and looking for some tips or inspiration and this is our bus our red blahla car bus rolled up at stop 12 so let’s go the journey to Tulon took about an hour and a half and it was pretty smooth and easy from the bus station in Tulon we decided to walk to our hotel it took us just about 10 minutes as we went through the elegant upper town I couldn’t help but stop by La Fontaine de la Federas on Plast Liberte to take a few shots it’s truly beautiful [Music] along the way we passed by Galleries Lafayette and some really charming places which only added to our excitement we had fallen in love with the city even before we checked in and here we are on Ru Victor Misho the hotel is located in three renovated 17th century buildings its excellent location allows direct access to the port of Tulong the city the beaches and tourist sites the interior is unique decorated in a maritime [Music] theme [Music] heat heat [Music] heat heat heat heat [Music] the port of Tulong is always buzzing but in a relaxed southern France kind of way perfect for a stroll with sailboats gently rocking on the water and people chatting over coffee or drinks there are plenty of little cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious food sip a glass of wine or beer or just people watch for a while it’s one of those places where you forget to keep track of time [Music] what is They’re safe [Music] what did you [Music] [Music] Tulon’s old town is like stepping into a painting narrow cobblestone streets and little plazas full of life we wandered into quiet little corners tucked away in the shade of olive trees where the gentle murmur of old stone fountains added a kind of timeless calm to the air you can find here everything from trendy little shops and boneries with that fresh croissant smell to cute cafes where locals hang out tulong feels real lived in and full of small pleasures [Music] [Music] one of the places in the old town that quickly became one of our favorites was Victor Hugo Square it was one of those spots where you just want to slow down and let the day unfold there’s just something about the atmosphere here the grand building of Lira de Tulong the laid-back cafes and that striking artwork on the wall that is a tribute to Rayu the famous actor born right here in [Music] Tulong the artwork adds real character to the square it feels like he’s watching over [Music] it sitting at a cafe table with a drink in hand and the buzz of the square around you it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy Tulon’s warm easy rhythm [Music] llas Puja is another one of those spots in the old town that quietly wins you over once the main square of the town it still feels like the heart of the old quarter full of charm stories and shade from the beautiful old [Music] trees there’s a bit of faded grandeur here with timeworn buildings a mosscovered fountain that seems to hum with history and the steady rhythm of local life it’s where you’ll find the iconic cafe Shantili here we couldn’t resist their creps with Shantili cream as the sun began to set the perfect sweet pause in a place that feels timeless [Music] [Music] rudesizar is a must if you love creativity with its art galleries artisan boutiques and vintage facads [Music] getting to Leage De Murion from the center of Tulon is super easy just take bus number three or 23 both will take you straight to the beaches a one-way ticket costs €1.40 and is valid for 90 minutes you have to buy the ticket directly from the driver on the bus but then don’t forget to validate it there is a machine on the bus where you can do this easy and [Music] convenient the sandy beaches of Lurion are just a short ride from the center of Tulong and are perfect for relaxing day by the sea clean calm and familyfriendly this stretch of coast is where locals and visitors alike come to relax swim and soak up the Mediterranean light [Music] the beaches are perfect for relaxing day by the sea but it’s not just about sunbathing there’s a lot going on from water sports to beach volleyball and mini golf to games of punk there’s something for everyone [Music] [Music] fore foreign foreign [Music] i’m Every morning on our way to our favorite bulongerie we would pass two men sitting at a table deeply focused on their game of cards we are talking about the charming sculpture la which is a tribute to the iconic scene from Marcel Pagnol’s film Marius it beautifully captures the spirit of provence friendship tradition and the simple joy of life this bulerie was our favorite [Music] the coarse Lafayette market is the vibrant heart of Tulong every morning except Mondays the place is filled with rows and rows of colorful stalls selling fresh provinile produce clothing and other goods that will delight all five of your senses the lively atmosphere is full of energy with locals chatting and picking out their favorites the market was made famous by the song Lear de Province by Jilber Be who was born in Tulong [Music] we also stopped stopped at the tourist office at 12 plus Louis Blancc and they were incredibly helpful they will provide you with all the information you need from activities and local tips to bus schedules and some tickets including tourist passes a great first stop if you’re just getting your bearings in Tulong [Music]
