On this beautiful early evening ride, I cycled some lovely country lanes and through some quaint villages and head towards the fantastic sea side town of Exmouth. It’s been many years since I had the chance to go on an evening ride and I was so impressed, I cannot wait to do it again. I did, however, notice that motorist travel faster with boy racers using the public roads as their race track and the cycle path in Exmouth was blocked with revellers standing on the path drinking. It was nice for me to try and beat the sun going down, to return home before it was dark.
My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

[Music] [Music] Thank you. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat [Music] up here. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Hey guys, welcome back and thanks again for joining me in my ride today. I really do appreciate your company. Um, today I’m doing something I haven’t done for a long, long time, for many, many years. uh because I just haven’t had the opportunity, I guess. But I’m out for an evening ride today. I can’t believe it. And it’s absolutely beautiful. So, right now it’s just after 7:00 p.m. and it’s about 25C. So, what’s that in Fahrenheit? Yeah. So, the way I roughly remember doing it, you doubled the Celsius and then you added 25 or 26. I can’t remember now. Maybe 27. I don’t know. Let me know in the comments, guys. So if we’re 25 C, so you double that 50 add 25. So we’re around 75 76 Fahrenheit on this beautiful glorious evening as I’m quite lucky today to get out for this evening ride. I’ve chosen a a pretty safe route to be fair um just to get me into it. Hopefully I can do more of these throughout the summer anyway. Um because it’s just been too hot. Way way way way too hot to uh ride during the day. Even work during the day. It’s been an absolute nightmare with the heat. Yeah, definitely going to have to get out and do a bit more of these evening cycle rides. Absolutely gorgeous. I say I’m taking a bit of a safe route, but to be fair, I haven’t been on this lane for years. I just thought, oh, I haven’t been up there for ages. Let’s go that way. Bit of a free spirit tonight. Yeah. So, I’m going to make my way down to Xmouth Beach, I think. Try and get down that way. Oh, I got a car behind me. Let him go. Yeah. Yeah. So, right now I’m riding against the sun, trying to beat the sun from going down, try and get back with whilst I’ve still got a bit of daylight. But the uh the one big noticeable thing which I have noticed from this uh evening ride is I’m coming across a lot of uh boy racers if you know what I mean. Young lads in their uh little souped up cars uh using the public roads as a racetrack. Thought being just after 700 p.m. it’d be quiet in these lanes, but I think I’ve met more traffic this evening than I uh would do on a on a on a morning ride. [Applause] The beautiful cottages, guys. That phone box was stuffed with books. Nice little mogy there. Okay. So, I’m in the uh in the beautiful village of Talaton at the moment. Oh, that one there’s for sale. Look, guys, it’s empty in there. I think I’ll uh head towards Ottery and from Otter St. Mary and make my way down to uh make my way down to Xmoth. [Applause] I’m absolutely loving this ride. Really really enjoying myself. Oh clear the sun shining in her eyes. Bless her. She spotted me though. Yeah. Yeah. So, I’m coming into um Otto St. Mary right now. I’m loving this. Absolutely loving it. Sun’s going down. Still really warm though. Have a little wave to the camera. Oh, this road here takes me uh all the way to XO. Yeah. So, the traffic’s spinning out a bit now, guys. So, it’s uh it’s really really nice here on the roads. Follow these cars. Go straight on to Budley Saltton. I’ll be missing that one out today obviously and going straight to uh straight to Xmouth. Oh, and thankfully she stopped sort of race to the uh race to the junction then, didn’t she? Oh, I love cats. He’s well in the ele. I’m taking the trail now. Yeah. Still plenty of people on the beach here having their barbecues. Someone’s lovely here. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Must have been a busy day today. Saying that most people probably come down after work. [Music] [Music] Everybody just walking on the uh on the cycle trail. Got to be a little bit careful. [Music] busy coming through guys. Thank you. [Music] I think I’m going to hop on the road, guys. It’s a bit busy on the cycle path with pedestrians. [Music] He got excited with that, didn’t he? Revved his little car up. Oh, I got the sun absolutely blinding me. I am leaving Xbox now. Look at little bunnies. Look. Yeah. So, on my way home now, guys, I’m on the uh Excesty trail. Yeah, I love this trail. Feels like I got a puncher in the rear tire, but it hasn’t deflated fully yet, I don’t think. But it’s uh definitely feels like it’s going down. Yeah, I can definitely feel my rear tire going down. W might just chuck a tube in it. me. Oh, very good. Yes. So, I just stopped to a a few PSI in that rear tire. It is going down, but slowly. So, I’m hoping I’ve got enough put enough in there now to get me home. Well, the sun is certainly setting on me now, guys. My slow, slow puncher is holding up, so that’s good. Thoroughly enjoyed this uh early evening ride. I really did. The sun’s just going down now. Oh, what a day. Or what an evening, I should say. Anyway, guys, if you enjoyed that, please give us a like and come and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Until next time, guys. Keep smiling and riding and hopefully I’ll see you on the next one. Bye for now. Bye-bye. Bye. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

Double Celsius & add 30.
Looking forward to my holiday in Exeter is September, been decades since I was last in that area. Hopefully I can fit a bike rack on the hire car.
And that's why I never use 'that' cycle-path down at Exmouth, they're like lemmings throwing themselves off a cliff, add in alcohol and they're even worse.
Nice weather for it Harv, nice to see so many out and about😊👍
Nice ride Harvey looks stunning with the sun going down keep up your great content love it 👍☀️🚴
its a bloody nightmare all along that estuary cyclepath
Drivers moan if we use the roads and pedestrians moan if we use the pavement, yet they all like to park or walk in the designated cycle lanes. Go figure 🤔
Good ride video in great weather. Roads are getting busier everywhere, except the lanes around Norfolk. I did a sportive there yesterday and the route was excellent, very few cars . Cycle lanes, what can you do ? You did well avoiding the random walkers and children.
Hi Harvey, the motor of my creo makes a strange loud noise everytime the motor disengages. I hear that this is a problem with some of the motors. Do you recognize this?
