yes peeps welcome back to a brand new episode I hope you’re all doing well today is Wednesday the 29th of January and it has been a 140 days since I last done a delivery shift on my ebike yes today I am back out on my himiway zebra so let’s get straight into it I’m going to be going online with Uber eat and deliveroo today and uh yeah I’m sporting the deliveroo winter jacket makes me look like a a bloody security guard but it is nice and warm online with both apps and uh just waiting for the first order to come in let’s accept this order and get underway we’re picking up from moy’s let’s go get this lucky for me mes is only across the road is there space to lock outside yes there is it does feel weird being back on the ebike after such a long time you had to reinstall the lock on the bike and look at how close that is to the uh suspension it is so close it’s not hitting and I think it’s the perfect fit God it’s so bright in here man thank you cheers [Music] man all right nice quick pickup from mory’s there going to keep the cold drink separate I’m sure Christopher doesn’t want a hot can of femon with his uh chicken and chips all right how far we going 5 minutes away cool let’s go oh yeah I can’t just ride off I need to unlock this bike honestly this is what happens when I don’t ride for such a long time keep forgetting that I have to lock my bike up every single time otherwise it will get nicked I missed the days when I could take risks when I first started delivering I used to just leave my bike a lot especially when I had the Carrera when I had the uh the other bikes like the wow bike for example the one that got stolen and then it got recovered by a delivery Rider that found it um yeah I never really used to leave that bike unlocked unless I could see it at all times but my uh career way E I used to leave that thing unlocked all the time this guy’s got his dogs in the front of the bike look at the tail hanging out oh that’s jokes but yeah it does feel good to be back out on this bike feel like I can get deliveries done not quicker but it’s less stressed I don’t have to look out for cameras I don’t have to worry about parking all right let’s get see that there’s some rejected jobs on deliveroo when my first order comes in that was because I went online earlier on when I was at home and I was just testing the waters to see if it’s busy or not and it work quite a few jobs coming in so I don’t think I’ll be waiting around a long time for another job here we go we got another one it’s going up toward WS Tower Bridge £8 53 cool I know exactly where this place is and it is a quite a horrible place to pick up from it’s at the back of some shops down some dark dingy alley the last time I was well not the last time I was there but there was a time I was there 3 months ago just before Christmas I was wearing a trainer with an air bubble in it and there was glass on the floor or something and it just went see I lost my air bubble down this Alleyway it sounds so weird but that’s what I always remember when uh I go to pick up from this place don’t want to lose another air bubble I got my Air Max 95s on today and these cost a bloody fortune and I never really spend a lot of money on trainers but let’s get over there pick up these burgers and get them delivered [Music] am I going to take my bike down there no I’m not even going to risk it this pickup location yeah it’s got to be one of the worst look at the look at the rats Oh my days look at the rats oh my God I don’t even want to walk there oh my God look at the size of them oh my God yeah I got double get me the out of here ASAP mate they were big enough you could put a lead on them and take them for a walk oh my God I for sure will not be ordering from this CF boy thank you oh get me out of this hell ho 10 minutes away 1.6 mil let’s go and get this one done this one’s actually going quite far I think it was paying £8 so that is actually worth it oh there we go it’s kicking off mate must be late for their coffee must be coffee time and yes I know that the police do that late for their food flick on them sirens and get there [Music] all right then I think I’m here yeah so weird I feel like delivering on an ebike is actually faster than my moped obviously I can go faster on my moped than I can on this bike but in terms of like cycle routes and stuff like that it just works out quicker I definitely need to be using my ebike more and I will be in the summertime as well yeah this jacket honestly makes me look like a I don’t know a deliver snowman I look really Hench when I’m not look at the muscles on that this is all Air just air nothing else but air super super warm though and it’s the most high visible jacket that I own hello there you are thank you cheers all right now we’re heading over to student accommodation only around the corner I know exactly where it is and the one thing I love about student accommodations is that they meet you outside they have to meet you outside yeah of a good start time’s just gone 7 let’s go get this next one done oh what a nice Mercedes that is that is is that ula’s compliant I don’t know it’s got a black number plate so it might be exempt as a classic car smells beautiful hopefully my customer is going to be waiting outside I don’t have to wait for bloody ages yeah man that’s what I get your delivery code now on manes oh straight in with another one £430 will take that this order contains soup please keep it upright let’s go and get this one it’s only 2 minutes away is anyone going to look my way or should I just roll in yeah I’m rolling in no one’s paying attention thank you all right we are going to Cannington 11 minutes 1.7 miles let’s go do this I wish I took the ebike out sooner I love my moped don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I don’t like my moped and I’m not saying I’m never going to be delivering on it again they both have their advantages advantages and disadvantages the moped is more comfortable you don’t have to do much work whereas the ebike is a lot more physical I mean that’s a no-brainer really because I haven’t got a Twist and go I can’t just twist a throttle and uh fly down the road it’s a lot more warmer on the moped cuz I got the nice leg cover but then I get deliveries done a lot quicker on this uh on the ebike compared to the moped don’t have to worry about parking anything like that I am going to be doing more ebike shifts cuz it is fun car look at this Subaru WX that is nice that is very nice clean as well for a 52 plate wow he’s kept that in really good condition all right we’re just arriving now to this customer address hopefully the bag stayed up right and uh the sup hasn’t spilled everywhere all cheers get thank you cheers hey we got another job coming in and that is on deliveroo cool that one’s going over the river let’s do it we’re going over to voxel Bridge [Music] Road hello uh 5434 thank you all right I got that one nice and quick 2.1 Mi away £770 it’s a decent amount I saying go that way but I think I’m going to go the other way instead I think it’ll be quicker cuz V is this way it’s not that way surely it’s going to going be quicker going this way okay there we go shaves off 1 [Music] minute only 1 minute away from this customer now currently in uh that voxal Pimco area hey I got a delivery for you leave it outside I will come and pick it up in a second yeah no problem 75 75 okay thank you thank you so much thank you all right another job there uberit waitrose paying just over £5 we got a split order so there’s two yeah two delivery Riders are delivering this order wow look how many items there are 21 items right 0.9 M away for this pickup let’s go and get it where is it I thought it was somewhere here oh it’s the one in voxa okay now that makes sense all right I got to go over the river over voxel bridge and then collect it from that which was I think it was paying 5.96 it’s a decent job to be honest a two-part order as well hopefully the other Rider has actually taken some and hasn’t just take taken one bag and left me with the rest let’s see if it’s ready weight DRS are normally pretty [Music] good I got 2v4 BR nice one thank you the other driver has been already no he’s com okay cool cool thank you all right this customers 2.9 mil away all right let’s get on the road and get this done heading back into the area that I uh started off in as well so hopefully there’s a few orders around there [Music] H there you are did the other Rider come you have another Rider coming as well yeah cuz it was a big order I think other driver might be here maybe I don’t know no it’s not letting me complete this job done the ID check and everything look start ID verification and it’s just doing this there we go looks at the um Uber app was bugging out a little bit there I just had a new order come in deliver picking up from Pizza H in just over5 and be hot is right here perfect uh 4178 nice one thank you nice quick one there from Pizza Hut leave outside in the basket that’s what I have to do with this pizza I’m going to need the code so hopefully they actually answered the door it’s only it’s not 10 minutes away it’s definitely not 1.8 mil just just trying to wait for the map to update okay 1.5 10 minutes I shaved off 0.3 mil yeah not sure what time I’m going to be delivering until tonight I want to get out and do a go first shift tomorrow in the city so yeah I’m most likely going to finish about 9:00 maybe half n latest yeah half N I say yeah big game on Sunday Arsenal Man City it’s a must-win game for for us as well uh yeah it’s going to be a huge huge game so looking forward to that on a Sunday go down the pub have a Sunday roast yeah the perfect Sunday settings that’s what that that’s going to be we better bloody win picking up this pizza order just reminded me of a video that I saw on Instagram of this uh I’ll put it up on the screen you’ve probably seen it already but it’s a delivery Rider picking up a pizza and he was just about to leave the restaurant guy is like no no no put it in your bag so instead of opening the thermal bag outwards and sliding the pizza in he just puts it in the top of the bag oh oh my God you can’t be honestly you you can’t be that stupid surely not surely you cannot be that dumb pizzas have to stay flat at all times and in a fmal bag cuz they go cold so quick as well but yeah I was I was cracking up when I saw that video could not believe it hello there we are thank you thank you God the steam coming out of that ve veggie pizza smells quite nice you know I’m going to leave this bag open to air out a little bit all right time is 8:34 I’m not going to check how much money I’m won so far I’m just going to keep it going might have to uh run into a news agents quickly and grab something to drink because I forgot to bring my holy bottle with me I’ve got all the sachets in the in the delivery bag but yeah I forgot to bring some water or I could just buy some water from the shop but it be better to um bring it from home cuz then I’m not paying for it you know four 4 can’t go wrong um we’re going to grab one of these as well please thank you still going for something a little bit healthy going to head down towards the restaurants I’m being a little bit unhealthy by buying this chocolate bar but I need some energy the last time I ate something was like 2:00 so this uh lion bar is going to do me good a this tastes so good I haven’t had a lime bar in years all right lovely stuff that’s another order £61 picking up from Nando let’s go get it uh 4482 uh 9139 5 minutes 5 minutes that’s cool I’ll wait no worries can I have one of those Waters then whil I’m waiting not Waters uh trop 5 minutes I’m definitely not turning down this D War paying £61 and it’s literally going around the corner look look at that literally around the corner so now I’m going to have a tropical twist I tell you what folks no that is nice that is good real fresh made with real fruit all right let’s head back in and see if it’s ready now I’m sure it will be it’s been about 5 minutes it’s busy today it wasn’t only the last 45 minutes yeah right so that’s one of yours thank you thank you cheers man’ got both of those orders uh they’re definitely not going to fit in this small delivery bag but luckily I’ve got my fermal bag on my bike so I will be utilizing that you know I like to double up on my fermal bags look at that perfect fit Perfecto cool all right let’s get this bike unlocked and get to this customer only 3 minutes away for this one this is a really nice paying job as well £6 it’s less than a mile how are you how are you all right yeah good man on the eback today yeah been more than 3 months no bicycle yeah I love it see man that’s my neighbor he’s a grafter honestly if you think I’m a grafter or anyone you know is that guy he works all the time he does it full time yeah he’s always always in a good mood you know them people that are just always happy you never see him like with a frown on his face ah yeah what a legend classic BMW Behavior I deliver Dam it cheers thank you cheers all right next customer is very close yeah 2minute cycle so yeah this is 0.8 mil for £6 6 that isn’t too bad time is just gone 900 p.m. 4 minutes pass to be exact so I’m going to be delivering for another 26 minutes hopefully I can get a few more orders done it’s been a surprising evening in terms of how busy it’s been I think as it’s edging towards payday people are just spending last bit of money that they’ve got to treat themsel now that we’re through and past Christmas and January should start picking up again H yeah there you are 88 88 yeah cool thank you straight in with another one £325 I’m going to take that because it’s really close to where I am and the drop off is super close as well uh 3 minutes away 0.4 mil Boomer is it Boomer never heard of that restaurant before [Music] never heard of this place before what is it Indian food okay thank you hello that’s the one yeah cool thank you cheers what’s it like smells good is it good yeah it’s underrated as well yeah trying to build up a list of places to eat and I mean the best way to do that is by doing this job and seeing what type of food they offer but also how the place is you know what the Vibes are like but yeah that’s perfect you got an Indian restaurant on the right and then a pub on the left it’s perfect have a nice meal going and have a nice drink straight after yeah I’m definitely I’m going to try that place out I’m delivering to this estate here dodgy estate no no no no no oh no it’s leaking everywhere ball bags so I’ve just taken out the bag and I’ve seen this leaking everywhere do you want to grab like a plate or something and we put it underneath it’s all over my gloves as well oh no I’m hoping it’s just the sauce that’s leaked up you got it cool no worries sorry about that oh that’s so frustrating all right I might as well clean this up I’m going to have to throw these gloves away well I mean I could wash them but I’m ordering a new pair anyway going to give this bag a good wash TR I get home as well try and get as much of this Curry off no is it inside my bag as well yeah bag is smelling pungent now oh well these things happen um yeah I’ve got another job coming in there think it’s deliver yeah Co-op £33.99 we’ll take that and just make sure there is curry in there look going to try and not use this bag I’ve only got 10 minutes or so left of my shift actually I’m going to fold this bag down by the way peeps I do wash wash my bags at the end of every shift always like to keep them nice and fresh it’s gotten though I feel bad for that customer I know it isn’t my fault I weren’t riding like a madman or anything it’s just unfortunate that it happened on my order thank you very much cheers this customer 3 minutes away 1.4 miles [Music] thank you 87 thank you I’m going to finish up there it is 932 let’s go through the earnings all right so Uber eat was £99 and that was for two deliveries and deliveroo is £39.50 7 3957 + 99 brings out a grand total of £ 4866 divide that by 3 hours I’ve been working just over 3 hours actually £ 1622 yeah it’s been a really really good shift I’ve enjoyed it I hope you have yeah it’s been nice to get back out on this bike and uh
