8th & 9th July, A ride to Hitlers Nest
So today has been a bit of a wash out. It’s literally poured all day long and we’re soaked through well my feet are. The rest of me is okay cuz I’ve got waterproof sun. But this hotel room is something else. So it’s in sail back. Uh it’s a twin room. We got a king-size bed there and it leads through into this like little sitting room area. There’s the other bed. um with the bedding and everything out pulls out. But the the the best thing you’ve got a sauna. It’s a sauna in your own room. Wicked. I’ve never seen that before. Appear to have them in all the rooms. And we got a little balcony out here. Huge. Yeah, happy days. Um, I’m sure the bathroom’s nice. I haven’t looked at it properly yet. It’s going to be There you go. Shower. And I think this is Yeah. Just a toilet through there. That’s it. So, here we are. I might bike Suzuki. But we have a problem. Tim needs a new rear tire. and he gave the wrong um tire size. So, they’ve only got 50 in here, a 19050 and Tims is a 190 um 55. So, we’re going to order one for the tomorrow morning and hopefully it’ll arrive in time. Um might delay a little bit, but at least we’ll know he’s getting a tire that way. It’s everywhere around here seems to close on a Wednesday or close at midnight. Okay, we’ve landed at Hitler’s Nest or the car park at the bottom of the hill and actually it stopped raining the bikes. now this stuff down here. All right, on our way to the lift. It’s really cold in this town. Alan Alan, you’ll appreciate that. Alan [ __ ] This is the queue. It’s not that bad actually. It’s not me queued all the way down that tunnel. No photographs. Okay. Sneaky. Wow. top of fitless nest. It’s pretty impressive. The boys for the cameras. Just look at the clouds. Just you can almost touch the cloud. That is absolutely stuck. Far it is down there. Look. Okay. Look how far it is right down there. Look. Oh my god. The lake in the distance. Clouds blowing by. You’re very lucky that it’s not covered in cloud. Well, at the moment going straight for Pause recording. extremely nice. I don’t know what we got there, too. Yeah, there’s more. There’s more. There’s more. So this is uh after Hitler’s nest. We’ve had to pay €6 to come through this. It’s called the panoramic torque toll road. So I’m assuming when we get to the viewing point at the top. So so far it’s been pretty good. See? It’s up in front. Two push behind. This one goes slow. Wow. The switchbacks are really [ __ ] But you could do it. Just look. I’m doing slow. You can do it slow. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat.
