A Day in the Life of a New YouTuber | Balancing Work, YouTube & Life in London
Ever wondered what it’s really like trying to grow a YouTube channel while holding down a full-time job? In this day in the life vlog, I take you through a typical weekday from start to finish—cats, coffee, video editing, commuting, work, and finally a rainy journey to Eastbourne.
From waking up early with my two cats, squeezing in some light exercise, and editing the latest ScuzzyLondon video over breakfast—to cycling through grim January rain and putting in a full day at work—this video shows the hustle behind building a YouTube channel from scratch.

heat heat [Music] [Music] hey [Music] hey hey [Music] this idiot heat up [Music] here [Music] [Music] in case you were wondering today is a day in the life video the weather’s horrendous which doesn’t help but this is what a typical day for me looks like and I thought Tamara what’s her name tamara Gabriel gave me this idea little shout out to her DJI fan and all that but why not try a day in the life video and I thought that’s a good idea i’ve got a really interesting day coming up so I’ll give that a go so we’re going to follow this day right through apart from the working bit which is kind of boring and then see what happens at the end of the day here we go so of course every day for me starts with a pretty hairy ride to work too fast lady she seemed to put a foot down there every day for me pretty much starts with a ride to work nothing special but it’s all part of it that’s what a day in the life is like we all do it today’s not your typical day it is a Friday it is windy as hell it’s blowing a gale and an actual gale this is uh some sort of storm uliss or Eugene or Julie or I don’t know it’s a storm anyway you can tell it’s Friday the roads are a lot quieter teens thank you wow this wind is tough woo blowing right in my mush right here and the seagulls are opting out come on [Music] oh look at this check this out a song stuck the busted wheel in the middle of the road that’s going to cause fun wonder if I can get through nope missed the lights too big a gear really knock down one now now I didn’t know this at the time but it turns out this will be one of my last rides on this commute what was even more strange was that I’d be doing it all over again just a few months later alexa play radio 6 music [Music] first one in [Music] and that’s it now it starts phase one heat heat [Music] and just like that we’re out of the door and it’s a quick blast up the hill now on two feet full power up to catch a train i don’t want to miss this one cuz if I miss this one I’ll be in trouble and I’ll miss the next one and that’s no good i got somewhere to get to so got to get my feet down on to the next place this little film is called One Day in a Life My Life started off early this morning with an early start getting ready for work into work 8 hours or so doing that stuff as everybody has to do pretty much and back out the other end made it through the day back home quick change quick turn around and out the door and on to a new destination tonight but I got to make sure I get there because got to get a couple of connections make sure I don’t miss anything and mess it up should be all right though i mean good time we’re nearly there and then on to the next place [Music] that’s a bit of luck managed to get the earlier train gave myself 10 minutes there [Music] [Music] [Music] looking for platform 60 here we go the other side just [Music] result on the earlier train i can get to my hotel earlier and relax or have a beer or have something to eat multiple choice [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and just like that we arrive in a new place somewhere I haven’t been before at least not for a very very long time so this could be good let’s see what’s out there i don’t know where I’m going i’m making this up let’s go here [Music] right then I have arrived in Eastborne for the start of my weekend this is how it goes for me i don’t know what to expect here this is something new but as my weekend starts hopefully yours will start too and you’ll be having a good time ooh buffet time i could do with a buffet but I’m not going to have it there here’s the boys showing the presents it’s really quiet heck i want to go down that way check your maps check your maps oh I love all this that was a day in my life it’s good fun early start got cracking got on with it we got it all done didn’t we got it all achieved and here we are first thing is get a beer get some food down see you next time this is my stop the spoons have a good Eastborn [Music]

Thanks for the behind the scenes look at your day, and for showing us your cats! If I ever become a YouTuber (one of the ideas under consideration for when I retire next year), my days won’t be a fraction as active as yours was in this video, but I have to get there first!
I saw the end result of that day and I have a renewed appreciation of how jam packed rammed your days can be. And you still keep smiling. Loved that video, keep up the awesome work
