Hey, so we made it. We’re currently in Hadfield. Going to jump on the Trans Penine cycle route shortly. Heading over to Sheffield through the Peaks. It’s like 25° already. Absolutely red us. We got a drink. We got the drone. We got everything that I think we need. So, let’s go. Wow, it’s warm. I’ve only been on the road for half an hour and I’m shattered already. I’m so glad I didn’t decide to camp. I’ve only got me bag with me drone and camera and little bit of water and stuff. This might not have been my greatest idea ever. My heart’s doing 10 of the dozen. Okay. Wow, I’m sweating. Hopefully there’s a shop not too far cuz I’m running out of water. some cracking views off tell you that better than Manchester anyway. Can you see that? on the Hadfield Railway Station to Woodhead Reservoir route currently here. Not sure where the next town is, but that’s the view. Beautiful. Right. Not sure where we are. I think we’re near somewhere called Woods Head. It says there’s a train station nearby. Hopefully uh it’s got a shop there cuz I am dying for a drink. Unless this is the train station. Oh no. I think this is the train station. There’s nothing here. Oh, Looks like we got a big ass hill to go up now as well. Woodhead station and tunnels going through the penines to Lake Manchester and Sheffield by raiding by rail. You are standing next to what was once a busy railway for nearly 150 years. Ahead of you in the hillside are entrances to three tunnels built at different times. No train station though. Tunnel with a light on. No entry with circuit live. Okay. Chance of falling boulders. Nice. I mean the views are spectacular. Oh, there’s a few cars up here. Wow, history. Shame I’m not down there. Well, there’s only one massive hill in this journey. So, if we get it out, we should be able to catch a bit of a breeze and at least get our breath back until we find a shop. Wow, I messed up big time. severely underestimated how far it was to this place. And I’ve ran out of water. Now, luckily, some really nice guy just give me what he had left cuz he was going home, but I’m pretty close to passing out at the minute. Now, apparently there’s a cafe about a mile this way. So, I’m just going to pedal to the medal, try and get there, and then ring the girlfriend cuz she’s probably wondering where I am. I’ve had no signal for a little while now. My head’s starting to bang. that water so badly coming over them penines them. Oh, I thought I was going to pass out. And then luckily I had the longest downhill I’ve ever done in me life. It just able to get let me just catch me breath a little bit. Get some wind in me face. Wow. I’m a idiot. It’s all good doing a flat tour until you have to go up a big hill in 30° heat with no bloody water. So fingers crossed what that guy said was right. And there’s a cafe not too far down here. So I’ll catch back up here once I’m at the cafe. Oh, here we go. Cafe. Oh my god, what a savior. Magic Wood Cafe. Wow. Oh my god. All right. This feels like a mirage. It’s great. We must So, no aces. Yeah. Look at this amazing place. 10 till 2. That was so lucky that I got here when I did. Magic Wood Cafe Garden feels like a mirage, an oasis even. Just in the middle of the Trans Penine Trail. Hot food, cold drinks. Got three bottles of water. and a nice hole. Beautiful. I’m not sure what I would have done without this place. Nice baked well, almond slice, almond cake, three bottles of water. We got about four miles to Penniston. Got some water now. It’s pretty flat. Pretty shaded. So, have a bit of luck. We’ll get there. Have a spot of lunch. See how I feel. It’s 30° at the minute. Love the sun. But me. This is something else. Coming over them penines then was just diabolical. Right. It was a constant gradient up, big lries flying past me, the sun beating down, not an ounce of shade. I thought I’m not going to make it. I’m going to have to ring ambulance or something. Oh, what we got there? in 100 yards. Turn right onto L’s Lane. Turn right onto L’s Lane. Wow, he sent me through here. Look. Oh, I got a gold star. Just having a bit of a scram. Got me everywhere. Penny’s done. Just having 10 minutes and seeing if we can be bothered with the rest of the ride. Anyway, so I’m about halfway now and it’s rest of it downhill. So should be all right. Another couple of hours pedaling. Should be in Sheffield. Yeah. Get all this packed away. Get back on the beast. upon trail trans penine. We got a tunnel coming up. See what this looks like. Might be a bit dark in here. Yo, this is sick. Oh, it says it’s lit up. I can’t see the thing. Wow, this is m really didn’t have a pee. Looks like we’ve got another hill. At least this time I’ve got some water. I’m not one for cycling up hills, hence the name of the channel. I’m a flatline adventure kind of guy. If you enjoy watching me walking up hills and getting lost and dehydrated, don’t forget to leave a like and a subscribe as it would really help me channel out considering it’s pretty new and I’d love to do more stuff like this. Even if I don’t get any likes and subscribes, I’m still going to do it. I enjoy being out and about, especially when the weather’s like this. What if I could get paid for it? That would also be nice. Help me upgrade me gear. Get a better tent. I’d love to do some in Holland, one of the flattest countries in the world. Okay, let’s hope this was the last of the hill. And also the trail is downhill. It’s 3:00 nearly now. We set off at half 8 this morning. 450 yard. It’s 30° now. 450 y. Still got about two hours left to be in Sheffield for five. Bloody hell. Look at that. Some random just said, “Do you want a twister, mate? Give me a twister.” What a lad. Why you should get out and about? All you do is sit at home on social media thinking everyone in the world’s a hateful little bastard. And in reality, people are actually quite nice. Got a nice little river next to us as well. Not sure if you can see it. Beautiful. Beautiful. We’re on the final stretch now. We got about 10 mile left. The earphones are running out of battery as well. I have to get them on charge in a minute. Civilization boys. The water’s just fell out my bag. Not for the first time today. Have to hold it. It’s doing the heading. Made it all the way to Sheffield. She Sheffield Wednesday. Oh, Sheffield Wednesday. Need to get to Sheffield United, don’t we? Are you in Sheffield if you’re at Sheffield Wednesday stadium. Anyway, good mooch. Going to have to figure out. I’m going to get home now. 32°. I’m absolutely done, but I need a pint. So, I’m going to go and find somewhere to have a pint and figure out how to get home. But if you watched it this far, nice one. Hopefully, I’ll see you next time on the next big adventure. Tada. So, we’re soon be arriving into Manchester Picadelli. That’s Manchester Picadilli, which is the final stop for this service. When leaving the train here, please mind the gap between the train and the platform edge.
