The first mountain TT in the tour to France for quite a while since the infamous pli TT in 2020. We’ve got a hard one. Less flat beforehand. This is only a 23minut TT. It’s like 3ks 3 and a halfks of rolling terrain only 43ks an hour. But then they do the perag good which was used in the 2022 tour to France when Brandon McNalty ripped apart the race. It’s a 7k 7 and a half% climb but up to the altaport. The last 300 m are rude. 16% Pete pinches really difficult and for the big boys Johnny Milan and co they extended the time limit. So the sprinters still were able to get through. Okay. They were worried about Paga putting the motto. Luke Plap the best rider in this TT out of the nonGC contenders. He opts for the uh the Propel the Aero road bike for Giant and then a rear disc wheel. and he’s one minute up on Lennon Vanvelt at the uh second intermediate halfway up the climb and he breaks or goes into the hot seat by nearly 3 minutes. Lenny Martinez was trying to take K points but he wasn’t able to I don’t think by going as quick as he could just on the climbing section. Look at Adam Yates. Look at him climbing. Look at look at how stable his upper body is. Uh Jorgensson and Healey reminiscing about the bad day for the both of them yesterday. Pagatcha warming up. Cool. Trying to keep as cool as possible. What equipment would the big guns use? Vingard. What’s that on his head? He’s not going to wear that in a mountain TT, is he? Uh Kevin Vocal looking absolutely terrified. Oscar only. We didn’t get to see the start. Jorgensson, he goes though with the the Arrow road bike, the S5 as well as one of the older Jirro arrowhead TT helmets rather than the the big Death Star helmet. and he’s 1 second faster than Plimber. But that goes to show how quick the Plap time was, but Plap’s able to hold on to the finish. Jorgensson 4 and 1/2 seconds behind him. Roglitch, the first man we’ve seen, he’s riding a time trial bike. I mean, Tom Dunland would have been ecstatic with this TT, a TT bike up a mountain. So, he’s on the shiv and he was flying 30 seconds quicker than Jorgensson halfway up the climb. and roglitch. I don’t think anybody did this TT out of the guys that did it on the uh TT bikes in the arrow extensions longer than Primos Ragglitch. He was flying today. He lost four minutes yesterday or so, but much better today. We’ll get back to him. Kevin Vocal, he’s with the sort of Jorgensson setup to him. Jorgensson, Pagatcha, they went with this setup. Vingard and uh the Bora boys are a bit different. Voclan 115 behind Roglish though. Lipovitz, same setup as Rogich. Uh, very light gear to go off. Actually, he doesn’t spike his watts, which I think is smart. I don’t know why people sprint off the line in a TT. Uh, Lipovitz 8 seconds behind Rogich halfway up the climb doing another good performance. Those two are looking good to roll the others for the podium. Lento even of all same equipment more or less as the Bora guys, although I think he wore the Aero road helmet and Rogich had the more vented one. only we barely saw but he was like the fourth fastest of the GC guys on the climb itself. He went for the the sort of road bike complete setup with the arrow road helmet. But Vingard, he goes full gas with the TT setup. He’s got the big helmet on. He’s got the TT bike and he’s got the one by uh chain ring which we’ll see a closeup of the second. And I guess it means it doesn’t mean you’ll go faster to the intermediate, but you can push way easier to the intermediate. Pagatcha though he wasn’t pushing easy. He uh in the yellow jersey he opted for the road bike which was not surprising to anybody. I think he prefers to climb on the road bike versus the TT bike like significantly more. And at the intermediate didn’t matter. He was still 5 seconds quicker than everybody else on the quote unquote flat section. on the uphill. Remco and Vinegard were mostly in the bullbarss compared to Roglitch who I mean it kind of put some demons to rest today in that for his current level in this tour to France. Roglish does an outstanding time trial whereas the pli one wasn’t so good in 2020. Aanapool though he was having a bad day. He was 26 seconds down on Roglitch at halfway up the climb and Rogich smokes the plap time nearly 27ks an hour. 24 minutes 20. Very, very good performance from Roglish. But unfortunately for him, halfway up the climb, Vingard was going even quicker about 30 seconds or 26 seconds quicker than Rogich at that point. And Luke Plap, who’d almost packed us, he had packed a suitcase to the hot seat. He was there for so long at the Depa Pagatcha says, “I’m going to go another 24 seconds quicker. I don’t care what’s Well, he actually did did he did say afterwards on the hot mic that the TT bike was faster.” So maybe Patcha could have gone even faster today, but Vingard, can he keep it up with the one by? Is he running out of gears? We’re not even on the ramps yet. We’re not on the alter board and he’s second or third from the back on the one by gears, you’re going to be grinding 50 RPMs up that ramp. But I guess if you push a million watts, it doesn’t matter. Lipitz, I mean, it’s crazy compared to the TTS of the past what guys are doing now just on mountain TT in the on a TT bike and they’re in extensions half the time. Liv’s great time. Vingard though, he’s got Remco Even in his sight. Aenapool started 2 minutes ahead of him and he was creeping on that final alt ram. Vingard used him as a carrot, sprinted over to him as that extra motivation and goes past him to put 3 seconds into him and nearly 45 seconds into Primos Robish. Would that be enough based on Paga’s intermediates? Most likely not. But it’s not like Pagachi was going to take the same time gap as yesterday. Although he doesn’t need to. I mean, he looks like he’s on cruise control. Maybe, you know, a little bit of suffering on the final 300 m, but otherwise, Pagatcha wins another tour to France stage. Mark Cavendish is starting to get pretty nervous beating Vingard by nearly 37 seconds. Did he prove that Arrow is work nonsense or is he just pushing a lot more watts than everybody else? Speeding Vingar by 36 seconds. Roglish on 120. Then Liitz Plap Jorgensson only Adam Jates Lenny Martinez and Felix G running out the top 10. Here’s what the leader of the race had to say after the stage. This was the biggest decision to make uh the bike which bike today. It was uh yeah obviously we racing on on road bikes most of the year like 99% of the time we were on road bikes. So I in the end uh we did calculations and yeah uh if you cannot push as much as I mean if you cannot push on TT bike as much as on road bike then it’s there about the same time and uh yeah I decided to be more comfortable the way I was riding the last 12 stages with the same bike and yeah in the end uh it worked well for me already the first time up today I I decided to go without radio because I the tactic was all out from the beginning to the to the top. So I was just relying on the on the time tables on the on the time um checks time points and I saw the first one uh I was already 5 seconds in green or something and uh this gave me motivation and then uh yeah uh the second one was a bit bigger and then I knew that he’s good pace and uh that I’m on a good time trail. In terms of GC, only one change in the top 10 order, although the gaps are even bigger now with Pagato four minutes ahead of Vingard, a likely insurmountable lead. Aan Napolei on 317 rounds out third. So, the podium already huge gaps, but the white jersey battle is just heating up between Evan Paul, Lipitz and Voclan. Those gaps are tight. Hope you enjoy the video. I’ll see you the recap tomorrow. Chowo cho.

The cow jumped over the moon.
The fork ran away with the spoon.
Tadej doesn't take PED.
Tadej is so drugged…
With all the aesthetic rules the uci has, how did this monstrosity get approved?
are those aero extensions that are available for the canyon aeroad handelbar forbidden for a TT stage?
When I looked into aero helmets for triathlons, you had to average at least 23mph/37kph to get any gains from the helmet. Since no one averaged that speed, I don't think the aero helmet added any advantage other than an interesting look.
Who is Evenepoel??
i am surprised nobody thought to as to why podâcar rode as well as he did the day before time trial, i to would have stuck with the everyday bike, with all that time in hand pogâcar could have peddled with only one leg & used his time buffer to protect him whilst everybody else tried every trick in the book to beat him, but to no avail, personally the only true winner was roglic, who clawed back some great time, as he is preparing for the tour of Spain,
Any resemblance between Visma's "mushroom" TT helmets and fictional characters is purely coincidental. 😂 https://cdn.quotesgram.com/img/15/34/1671130402-dark-helmet-spaceballs-5795.jpg
Remco is not even in the same class of rider as Pogi and Jonas.
cant compete vs UAE doping
but i guess if you push a million watts it doesnt matter xDDDD
Have you seen the clothes cyclists wear?
We are in no position to question Danish fashion.
It's a very popular style of hat over there. All the cool kids wear them.
"Aero is woke nonsense" I'm saving that one.
Remco just didn't have the balls.🤣😂🤣😂😅🤣
I know practically nothing of cycling sport, but every time I see Pogacar, its crazy to me. This guys has two hearts or something? Is he the best cyclist of all time?
Why not throw aero bars on the road bike? I'm guessing the fit is just too off? Chatgpt says aero bars on a road bike are allowed by UCI
His helmet catches Remco (who retired the next morning), but how did is fancy helmet fare against Pogacar's helmet? Yeah, I thought so.
4:47 plapp packing a suitcase cause he been there too long 😂
I only see Space Balls the movie
The Jonas penis helmet is ridiculous. No self respecting athlete would wear it……no matter the advantage.
He had ludicrous speed
As a recumbent rider that helmet made me laugh so hard that I farted and the goats in the zoo across the street answered. 🤣🤣🤣
UCI banned lycra from DH but they can't ban this? What a travesty.
They were riding uphill, why did he wear that ginormous helmet?
Wait till they figure out you will go 5 seconds faster with one of those Jonas helmets on your ass!
Roglic for the Vuelta
Did that helmet really help?
Wedding veil helmet.
Looking absolutely terrified hahaha
The Emperor will be pleased
Why is he doing the interview on a bike?
Should be banned, it is ugly
I wish they would make rules against this style helmets just to save us from looking at them.
Couldn't they wear a 11km long helmet
Lipowitz is doing a great job over all. Man, that man is a gem.
It’s a fairing. Not a helmet.
6:37 These guys are so insane the only way to stop them for an interview is to put them on a stationary bike!
Roglic half assed TT setup with bars and suit but regular helmet and very non aero rear wheel
I'd rather have a terrible crash and come last than to be photographed wearing that stupid Lid. I find his lack of sensible helmet disturbing.
new meta
Much more exciting than the flat boring TT stage. Mountain TT's really can seperate the top gc contenders from the pretenders as it favours the riders with the most watt/kg and explosive climbing power rather than which guys have worked the most on aero positioning on a tt bike.
I can ride for these guys for about 30 seconds.
