Hello all. In this video i take a ride out on Birmingham canals and explore some unused canal paths on my Haibike alltrail 3. It gets very muddy in some parts and i get a bit muddy but it all adds to the fun! Feel free to leave a comment good or bad and i will comment back. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Now, [Music] [Music] right then, so today I’m off to town along the canal. might see some smackheads on the way and on the way back I might go a different way and as always it’s bloody winter. It’s supposed to rain in a bit. We’ll have to find somewhere to shelter. Yeah. Ride through Queens, get on the canal at Smeikvic, ride into town. Probably stop for a rest. I might go a bit further as well. Might go a bit further than town. But on the way back, I’m going to come the same way back about halfway and then go on a different canal. join a different canal halfway back. See where it takes us 30 mph. 34. Took me long to get there now. Right down through the park. Yeah, boy. Oh, wrong way. blowing fast today. The wind’s not so bad, but as I say, supposed to rain in a bit, so I’ll have to take cover. Oh, says it weren’t windy. Yeah. How far have I gone so far? 2.66 miles. 10 minutes. Could have been faster. Could have been Right, let’s get on the canal [Applause] about 2 minutes first. Look at that hell hole. Have a drink, me think. Actually, the canal is looking a bit overgrown, to be fair. Wonder if I see my mate down here. Every time I come down here, I see this dude and he just must must walk up and down the canal cuz every time I come down the canal, I see him. Let’s go get the time. See how the ground is not that bad to be fair. Let’s go. Oh, it’s [ __ ] windy though. It’s a bit muddy. Oh, nice. Coming up on Golton Bridge. I got one tunnel. Oh. Ah, fly in me. [ __ ] sake. Should have worn me glasses. Never mind. I I fly in the eye. Ow. [ __ ] These things do my editing. 27 mph on a flat with the wind against me. That’s not bad. That’s the way I might come back. Oh man, here he is. Told you. Here’s that bloke I was on about earlier. See him every time without fail. Just gone under the bridge. Canal’s a bit mucky. Yeah. Okay, that wind is no joke. All right, let’s get off. Started bloody raining. It gets too heavy. I’ll have to shelter under a bridge. No. Put the helmet back on. Fast mode on I Get past all these locks. Where are we going? [ __ ] hell. My shorts have come down. Going into some dark creepy places now. What the [ __ ] man? Wow. Jesus. at this point. I don’t know where I’m going. Sure. I’ll find out though. I keep I don’t have a clue where I’m going. Where does this lead to? Any ideas? Anyone? I suppose I’ll find out. Barker Bridge. And this where they filmed some of Peaky Blinders. [ __ ] knows. Lancaster Street Bridge. Pretty low bridges either. Oh, bar strike. God damn it. Knocking my bars up now. My grips. Oh well, keep going. Don’t even know where I’m going. Crack on anyway. See how it takes me. Don’t know whether I should start turning back now. I don’t know where I am. Loads of locks have a new road bridge. So I’ll take I might have a new road wherever that might be. Stopped off for a bit of a break, something to drink. Let’s turn the bike back on and off we go. Put it in fast mode. The joys of a speed box. Love it. Right, shall I carry on going or shall I turn back? Start heading back home a good bit further. A bit further to see what is happening. Yeah, this is the M6. This is go underneath. Heat. Heat. Whoa. How can it be like that? Oh, well. This is some dodgy place, man. Oh, spooky. That’s somebody fishing. I think so. [ __ ] cold in the can. Somebody’s been magnet fishing. Big pile of scrap. Oh, look a gas canister. Okay, now I’m getting wet. wet. Stuck under this bridge for a bit. I got to start heading back at some point, man. I think I’m by Star City. Nice. Right. I think I should start heading back to city center. Ooh, dodgy. Good thing about the rain keeps you nice and cool. Why am I trying to put a glove on a hand that’s already got a glove on? [ __ ] Right, off we go. Oh. Yeah. the wind’s a bit more against me. Going this way. The rain’s getting in me eyes. Fox see it back through the spooky bridge. Spooky smoke. God damn it. Turn right and more or less home. I ain’t going in the road though. Not with these crazy [ __ ] around here. I must be mad. Oh, I can smell curry. Can I go for a curry? Maybe. Heat up here. Right people, just before we get home, I want to show you the state of me and my bike. Nice. So, that’ll be a nice cleaning job for later on or later on in the week. One or the other. Those canals were very muddy. But you know what? All adds to the fun, don’t it? All right, let’s go get home. See if I can mount my camera. Nope. No D. There you go. Sorted. Yeah, people. So, today’s been a nice uh ride out. Um that top canal, the old canal, that was a bit muddy. And as you see, my bike’s a right state. I’m in a right state. But again, all adds to the fun.
